Took me WAYYY too long to realize that Shadow Milk is using white magic to beckon upon the angels. And that's why he's partially using white magic

It does make sense; he knows how to utilize it since he was the one to teach it to Cookiekind. His vast knowledge of magic is truly fascinating to me. It makes me wonder if Shadow Milk Cookie was left to his devices to experiment, take notes, and perform the magics how much more flexible he would be with magic. He could possibly create new magic or understand magic to manipulate it. White Magic, Dark Moon Magic, Nature Magic, Dessert Magic, and so much more are utilized. He has to have the ability to use all of it if he was going to teach cookies as the Fount of Knowledge, a being of knowledge and magic.

Perhaps experimenting would allow him to time travel freely like Timekeeper Cookie since Sage of Truth was capable of glimpsing other timelines through his other realm. His magic seems to be space-related. And him being a powerful cookie made directly by a Witch could make the trek easier.

The possibilities of Shadow Milk Cookie are endless when it comes to magic.

I understand what Sage of Truth was getting at about him discovering new ways and would take the opportunity.

Shame the Ultimate Cookie and the souls of Burning Spice, Mystic Flour, and Eternal Sugar made him go mad. So much potential being wasted. Sage of Truth even said SMC wouldn't have been as rash if the Ultimate Cookie hadn't influenced, so SMC could have created the perfect world he wanted for himself and the Beasts if that dough hadn't messed it up.

I deeply hope Sage of Truth steps in for Shadow Milk Cookie. It makes so much sense.

Slightly unrelated, but I also just realized that this irrational urge to create a new world might have come from the the ultimate cookie.

I saw a lot of people saying that he's just recreating dark Enchantress' "create a new world from destruction" thing, but now that we have confirmation the the ultimate cookie is greatly affecting his mind, I think the urge to create an entirely new world (basically what dark Enchantress was doing) came from the ultimate cookie's inner desire to bring about a "new era". That is partially what it was created for, after all.

Honestly I can believe that!

While Shadow Milk has ways had a God Complex (because he is essentially a cookie god already) he was pretty content with simply causing chaos in the world he already lived in.

While he does heavily parrallel Dark Enchantress she doesn't really matter in his grand scheme aside from being the 4th person to betray him, giving him a brief ptsd flash, and making the Ultimate cookie. ... which matters alot actually.

But the point is that Shadow Milk's despair has gotten to the point that he can't live with himself in the world anymore. He has lost so much power and control of everything that he's had enough.

So the Ultimate cookie planting the idea in in his head the the solution to all of his problems would be to simply destroy it all and create a world here he has control of everything while also furfilling its purpose of bringing about a new world. Yeah I can get past that!

celestia is such a funny character like she's constantly manipulating twilight and friends to do shit instead of just asking and you could arguably frame that as being bc she's a "god" and pushing fate to her design or whatever, except that she engages with the group like a normal and relatable person, which makes it more like villainous machinations, except 90% of this manipulation goes towards things like "I don't want my party to be boring shit again. put my little country girl blorbos in there with zero prep so they fuck it up bad"

Celestia instantly makes more sense as a character when you ignore the princess stuff and remember that she's a 1000+ years old wizard. Of course she does manipulative trickster stuff to teach moral lessons and/or cause chaos to amuse herself, that's classic wizard behavior. Of course sometimes she's actually socially awkward and bad at personal relationships and has bad ideas that she thought were good that result in her eating shit embarrassing style, that's classic wizard behavior. Of course she lets the aristocrats and nobles run around being assholes she's still running on wizard advisor programming, she's basically trying to merlin the entire upper class of equestria instead of just a king and some knights. "Yeah uuhhh we'll release the incarnation of chaos himself from his ancient prison because we think this shy girl can be friends with him", terrible plan if you're thinking like a ruler, amazing plan if you're thinking like a wizard. Just look at Canterlot 'Castle' for five seconds and ask yourself if that's in any way a castle. No. Wizard tower, yes. Wizard.

Today I sat at the PC and locked in for some reason and after drawing for 6 hours straight I finished up my take on Ultimate Shadow Milk's design. It first started with my trip down the memory lane about creepypastas and eventually I thought - Shadow Milk's current state reminded me of the unpredictable and twisted nature of corrupted Sonic a.k.a THE EXE. Since he currently losing his sanity and being controlled by countless souls full of malice and vengeance it made me think of making him like a crooked, uncanny puppet that is very terrifying and unpredictable in its ways. And yeah, I took a lot of inspiration form Rewrite as he fit Shadow Milk's personality well and his design became a blueprint for this version. Anyway, it was good to go bad to old roots, draw all of the new EXEs for a meme and literally having a fun time just drawing and not caring about much things.
