PM: Well, not anymore, anyway. I’m done with the hookups and I’m done with drinking and smoking and all the stuff that got me there in the first place. 

But…let’s just be honest with ourselves, here. That’s probably the only real hope I have of being intimate with anyone. It’s not worth it, of course, but I fucked up the only real relationship I ever had and now he’s like a million times happier with someone else. I couldn’t ever make someone happy the way you and Trent do with each other or Kurt and Blaine or, like, any other token perfect couple you can find.

Picky-ness is probably my downfall there, but it’s better to not be with someone than unhappy with someone, you know? Or, in my case, acting as the Lima, Ohio mattress.

Well, whether I am or I’m not, I’m done with heartbroken guys and guys who are still hung up on someone else and etc. For awhile I guess I saw the loneliness as, like, a kindred thing? But now I see that it’s not that at all, it’s just someone who needs to feel wanted for an hour or so, so yeah, no more alcohol and no more wallowing in loneliness.

PM: Well, if I am, it’s my own fault. Sometimes being lonely for awhile can get to you and you make poor decisions, like hopping into bed with a guy because you’re both drunk and you’re both lonely. But that’s kinda been the only pseudo companionship I’ve really had over the last year, so it’s not hard to think that way. But again, it’s my fault.

Huh? I was just saying that what the anon said won’t happen in a million years. For one, Trent (nor any sane person) would leave someone, let alone you, for me. Eh, maybe. My aunt’s never married or really had many relationships and she seems pretty happy to me. She does other stuff, like charity work  overseas and she’s adopted a couple of kids from impoverished countries. I wouldn’t mind doing stuff like that, getting fulfillment in other ways.

Dude, it’s really okay. It’s just not meant to happen for me right now, I don’t think. And hey, you know, some people just don’t ever have that and I think it’s better I make peace with that possibility now so I’m not, like, still rolling around waiting for someone to leap through the window on a white steed or whatever. Doesn’t mean I can’t live a fulfilling life though. Relationships are nice, sure, but there’s other stuff too.
