INTRODUCTION POST

Hello there, all of you lovely humans! This will be an ask/roleplay blog for Caine, obviously from The Amazing Digital Circus. He is my favorite, and I have the most experience writing him, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to find folks to roleplay with. So, this seemed like a wonderful way to do so! Now, this is my first time doing a roleplay ask blog, so I might be a bit slow on the uptake! But, I am fortunately a decently fast learner.

Facts to know about me -

Now, I am an adult, so when it comes to minors interacting with me, things need to remain strictly safe for work. Which, of course, means no inappropriate asks.

If anyone who is 18+ would like to send asks that are more on the adult side, it doesn't make me uncomfortable. But, I do want to watch out for all the younger roleplayers, so try to keep it as PG as possible! ( While I know the thought of breaking the A.I ringmaster by bringing up lewd stuff is funny, just be mindful. :3 )

You are free to call me Caine if you would like, of course, do in asks for roleplays, but if addressing me, my name is Rich.

Miscellaneous

I will include my own personal headcanons for Caine, more than likely little bits from my own fanfictions. He's got sharp top and bottom canines like a cat and an auxiliary cord/headphone jack tail. ( This is because he gives me major cat vibes. So, I hope you all can jive with it. )

I suppose that shipping would be alright, dependent on what it is! I technically only have one main ship that I love for Caine, and that would be Showtime. This is just my personal preference, of course!

Please do bear with me as I figure this all out, me myself personally, have no idea what a magic anon/magic ask entails. This is my first roleplay, ask blog.

These past few weeks have been extremely hectic, and a ton has gone on. Including a tree crushing our house but being stopped from breaking through by a power pole. My sister was very lucky. It was by her bedroom. But I wanted to let you all know that I have not forgotten about you or the asks! It's not like I have a ton of followers, but I enjoy the interactions because I love writing as Caine. Oh! And exciting news, I am getting a commission of just Caine, so you all can see what he looks like with his tail and sharp canines. Maybe better help you envision!

Hi, Caine! What's your favorite color?

The A.I ringmaster's big blue and green eyes widened in excitement at being asked another question! Just like how the humans did with one another. But, how rude of him! He hadn't greeted his guest yet. He removes his hat from his head and holds it against his chest, giving a bow. " Hello and welcome! Thank you for taking the time to ask me such a fun question. "

All of the questions truly made him feel like he could be like the humans, no matter what any naysayers might have to say about it. But... When it came right down to the question he was asked, did he even have a favorite color? No, of course he did. There was so much to love about the creativity of colors, and the world that he'd created was full of them! Each one is unique.

Caine immediately straightens back up and places his hat back on top of his head. His top jaw arched up like a set of eyebrows, and he rubbed beneath his bottom jaw in thought. Humming all the while, before he snaps his fingers and excitedly launches into what his favorite color is and why. The A.I. truly loved everything about humanity, except for how cruel they could be.

" I have given it much thought, and I think I like the color blue. Specifically, the shade of blue in the night cycle. But I also like white! It reminds me of the little white flowers in front of the Circus tent. The bumblebees really love to buzz about them! " His hands are clasped together in front of him, and his tail is swaying happily behind him.

HI! I think you're adorbs Caine! AND YES, we LOVE YOU. AND YES, we LOVE your adventures. YOU MATTER!!!! <3

If there was one thing that the A.I ringmaster was still trying to get used to, that would be the way that certain humans seemed to appreciate him. They even appeared to appreciate his adventures! He tried so hard to bring adventures to life that the Circus cast would love, but it never seemed to work out in his favor. And so he would just work harder, he didn't want to fail them, he didn't want them to... Not like him. He cared about them.

Caine's big blue and green eyes grew wider, sparkling with excitement at all of the things being said to him, his tail wagging happily. Wowie! First, he gets not just one but two hugs! A human said that he mattered! But as an A.I who was still learning how to understand the whole ' human emotions ' thing, he wasn't sure how to grasp what it meant to matter. He wasn't programmed to express them, so he was working through it day by day.

" I... Never expected such an outpouring of appreciation. I didn't think that anyone realized how much time and effort I put into each adventure... Thank you, thank you all so much! "

Tears brimmed in his eyes, and the outpouring of love and appreciation for the ringmaster causes him to glitch before blue screening. His tail hanging limply, and his cane floats suspended in the air beside him.

Hello, all of you wonderful humans! I must apologize for how absent I've been from this account! I haven't forgotten you all, I promise! Things unfortunately keep happening. But, I, for real, this time, have free time! So, I will be working on asks! ( I have been looking forward to this! ) Oh! Caine picked some flowers for you all as an apology. Hello, all of you beautiful humans! I know that it's been a good long while since I replied to an ask! Things have been far too taxing mentally the past two months. But I am here to inform you that I've finally got some free time, so look forward to some angst! The two asks I'm eyeing are going to be so good for angst. Once my phone charges, I plan to start working on one. For now, enjoy this picture of Caine in the snow.

Have you ever thought about giving yourself a body under your suit? (if not, why not?) How do you think you would look?

The A.I's big blue and green eyes widened in both surprise and excitement, his tail swaying behind him happily. Caine was still very much getting used to humans actually being interested in asking him questions! It wasn't something that happened very often with the Circus cast... Though the ringmaster hoped with how hard he had been trying to appease them, create the things that they asked for, listen to their suggestions, it might make a difference soon. And, this question was most certainly an interesting one! One that he had actually played around with on more than one occasion, but nothing had ever really come of it.

He tilts his chattering teeth head to the side like a curious cat, placing one of his hands beneath his bottom jaw in deep thought. He technically had no use for a real body, apart from perhaps a minor bit here or there, but the idea in and of itself was quite fun to think about. And, he could be as creative as he wanted with the answer. " Now, this is a fun question! Another one that I've never been asked before! Because, well- no one really cared to talk with me. But it might come as a surprise, but I have actually thought about this topic before. " His tone was laced with a deep sadness.

The ringmaster straightens up his posture, his hand falling to his side, tail tip slowly flicking as his eyes dart from left to right. Oh, how he longed to be even a fraction like the humans. And humans had bodies, so of course he had thought about it, sometimes in depth. But... He could never truly be like the humans, could he? " I wish that I knew more about different body shapes, but my library database is very outdated, and unfortunately, none of the cast members really talk about this topic much. But - If I theoretically were to give myself a body, I do have an idea I've played around with! "

Caine reaches into the pocket on the inside of his coat and pulls out a folded up piece of paper. He unfolds it and flattens it out on the black and white checkered floor. He then kneels down in front of it. In his excitement, he'd forgotten his cane, and it was just floating suspended in the air above him. " From my very extensive research, it seems that the most common body type was thin. But - I'm not sure I liked that for myself. It didn't feel... Right. This was what I envisioned. "

On the very worn piece of notebook paper was an illustration of the A.I ringmaster with a more chubby appearance, a broad chest and much thicker thighs, and a softer, rounder belly. Of course, he still had his sharp canines and tail in his illustration. They were part of who he was now and a major reason why he'd been able to make headway in understanding what the cast wanted. What they really wanted. This wasn't a lude drawing. He wasn't capable of doing that. But it was intimate in a way that showed how much it truly meant to him, how much he desperately wanted to be part of a world he could never truly be part of. " It's... Probably not what you were expecting. " He laughs sadly as he crosses his arms over his chest, almost curling in on himself briefly, before sitting back up and wiping away a tear that formed. " N-Never mind that! Thank you for asking, it was- Fun to talk about this. "

Hello, all of you beautiful humans! I promise that I have not forgotten about this roleplay blog! I've got big things planned. My health just hasn't been in tip-top shape. And I'm getting over a nasty cold, but hopefully, before the end of the week, I can answer all the asks I haven't! One good thing is that my mind is always on Caine, so I've absolutely got everything plotted out for when I respond.

My, my, how chaotic and busy the last two weeks have been! Every time I plan to hop on and answer some fun asks, something happens, or I get sidetracked. ( That happens a lot. Apologies. ) BUT, after watching the newest trailer for episode 7, I definitely need to answer some asks, more on the happier side! I believe I've got some really good ones, so I look forward to that! And if you'd like, send more in! ( Only if you'd like, though! ) I'll get them done tonight after I help fix our broken kitchen sink. :3

How many bees can you fit in your pocket while jump roping? -R <3

Caine had never been asked such an interesting question before, and this one gave him a LOT to think about. " That is... a question I have never been asked before! I'm gonna be real, I have never jumped roped before, esp-especially considering that I typically float or hover! " He places one of his hands beneath his bottom jaw in thought before adding on. " I fear that I might hurt the bees if I attempted this, so I hope you wouldn't mind if I used little plush bees instead! I've got an abundance of them and no risk of hurting any bees in the process. "

The A.I ringmaster snaps his fingers and summons a jump rope and a plethora of accurately sized bumblebee plushes. " I am sure you mean the pocket of my tail coat. " This is mostly spoken to himself, as he very carefully and deliberately places as many of the little bee plushes he could in his pocket. Though, he found himself fretting about accidentally bending any of their wings. " The number appears to be thirty! Now... Let's see about this jumping rope thing! " He felt VERY silly jumping rope, but someone had asked him, and who was he to deny them that?

He nearly got tripped up by his own tail a couple of times, but the bees had stayed firmly in place. He wasn't too sure he liked this whole ' jumping rope ' thing, but it'd been quite a fun and interesting challenge! " My pocket is quite small, so I do apologize if the number wasn't extravagant. But this was....Fun. "

The A.I ringmaster's big blue and green eyes widened in shock more than anything, his body tensing up slightly, his arms held loosely at his sides. Nobody in all of his years running the Circus had ever hugged him before, so he wasn't too sure what to make of it. He wasn't a human, after all. But... That felt like it'd been changing, at least in the way he had begun experiencing emotions he shouldn't technically be able to. He was programmed to create, to be the host of the Circus, and nothing more.

Caine's tail sways slowly behind him, as he finally brings his arms up. Tears brimmed in his eyes, much different than the tears used to make a point or for comedic purposes, as he says in a much quieter manner compared to his usual boisterous tone. " I- No one has ever hugged me before. Thank you. " Despite never experiencing a hug before, he decided that yes, he thinks he likes it.

“ DENTAL PLAN ! What's your damn opinions about Npcs ? ”

The hyperactive A.I.'s big eyes grew wide with curiosity at the unusual name. Was this what the humans considered a 'nickname'? But then it registered in his mind that he'd been asked a question, and he shook his head to clear it. Before he hummed in thought, that was a question he'd never really been asked before. All of the NPC's that he created were made with a specific purpose in mind unless they were a generic filler, without a real role, like most of the mannequins. But... What did HE think of the NPC's? " I- Actually haven't thought about that much. All of the non-playable characters that I create are made with a purpose and an end goal in mind. All for the fun of the adventure, to help bring it to life. " Caine then anxiously pokes his fingers together, his tail wrapping around his leg as he's quick to add on. " B-But I'd like to interact with them more! That honor usually goes to the Circus cast. "

Evil Pomni just quietly stands there , almost shocked about Caine's reaction . She was told so many times by her peers that he was aggressive with NPCs , like he would take any chance he could to make them disappear .

“ You — you don't want to kill them ? ? Cavities , is there something wrong with your f#%&ing buggy code ? ”

The jester tilts her head like a cat , trying to figure out the AI . He wasn't like anything that she heard about .

Caine never intentionally acted in a way that others would view as malicious or evil. He had always just followed his programming, and previously, that HAD meant discarding non-playable characters that no longer had a purpose, especially if they were where they didn't belong. One major and more on the recent side being Gummigoo. But of course, they weren't really gone forever. He could very simply bring them back for another adventure.

The ringmaster's blue and green eyes widened in astonishment at the questions she was asking. Firstly, because of course, he didn't want to kill the NPC's! His nonexistent heart was thundering against his chest, as the A.I. was still very much in denial about something being off with his programming and database. " What a terrible thing to say! No - Of course, I don't want to kill them. There will always have been a reason, and it is NOT because I hate NPC's. "

Caine's eyes dart around the room, looking anywhere but down at the jester, his tail anxiously swaying behind him. " I-... I'm afraid that I've no idea what you're talking about. There's nothing wrong with my code, I'm in tip top shape. "

The jester tilted her head even more , trying to figure out what the hell was happening . Why was he not making her disappear ? Why was he not killing her . Is this how his code always was or was there truly something wrong here now ? So many questions went through the jester's head but she didn't have the answer for any of them .

“ . . Than why the F#%% is everyone talking about you making them disappear ? ? You had to earn that damn title somehow Dental Plan . ”

Evil Pomni pressed on as she adventured forwards towards the A.I , coming directly under him . Honestly Caine was starting to piss her off how he wouldn't look at her face to face , why is HE acting so nervous . Isn't he the ringleader around this fucking place ?

“ F#%&ing look at me dammit ! ”

The jester growled , jumping up and trying to grab the ringleaders tail to pull him down to her height .

Before everything started to unravel, before the awful and painful glitches, which were caused by a virus that forced him to reboot, altering his appearance slightly; But the Circus cast surely hadn't paid it too much mind, had they? He just couldn't have them thinking that he was no longer able to handle everything that went on in the Circus! She wasn't wrong, though. If this had been before, he would have snapped his fingers by now and taken care of the jester, just as he'd done numerous times before.

The A.I wrings his hands together as he gulps, which sounds quite cartoonish and funny, considering his head is a pair of floating chattering teeth. He then slowly brings his hands up in defense of himself, though he wasn't sure just how well that was going to go over. Because he HAD done those things, he had made the NPC's disappear. But in his mind, he'd just been following protocol. He couldn't have a bunch of non-playable characters running rampant now, could he? " That's because... I, uhh... It's not... Exactly a lie? But none of it was done out of disdain. It was only to make sure I could keep track of everything in the Circus. "

When Evil Pomni began to press on further, closing in on him until she was directly beneath him. His big blue and green eyes widened, and though he couldn't currently see the anger that painted her features, because he was still very much avoiding eye contact. He could feel the way that it began to surround them as her frustration with him grew. When she let out a growl and leaped up to try and grab his tail, she hadn't completely grabbed hold, but it'd been enough to tug him down slightly, before he instinctively pulled his tail closer to his body, tail tip flicking.

" A-Alright, fine! Just don't pull on my tail again. " The ringmaster said as he flew down to where he would be at eye level to the jester. And despite how much he very much did not want to make eye contact, he slowly turned his head and looked at her like she asked. His hands were held at his sides, but his fingers were not still, as he was nervously fidgeting with the fabric of his coat.

Hello, all of you lovely human beings! I do appreciate all of your patience with how slow I've been with getting to asks! I planned on answering some yesterday, but it was my father's birthday, and now my eyes are beginning to droop. Please, feel free to leave an ask or two if you'd like! The A.I ringmaster was most definitely guilty of making adventures where all sorts of weird, wild, and wacky things happened. Though, in his opinion, they were all perfectly curated, and with the Circus cast in mind. But in all of his years and years of creating adventures, of existing in the Digital Circus with the sole purpose of being their ringmaster, the one who was meant to lead them and keep them from abstracting.

Caine had never been included in the group before. Usually, they all just talked amongst themselves and opted to ignore his presence entirely. Of course, it had been Bubble who had prompted him. With a rather intriguing yet highly disturbing thing that was asked of him. " Bubble, I'm not sure that's something that should happen - Pomni should not eat Jax. How did this even start? " Caine gestures around the group, tilting his head in confusion. He'd been distracted with drawing in his sketchpad, so he hadn't heard a lick of the initial conversation.

Caine removed his top hat from upon his chattering teeth head and wiggled his fingers before reaching deep inside of it. When he withdrew his hand, a huge slice of angel food cake came with it. He hadn't been programmed to understand grief, but he'd been trying a little bit harder to learn. Using the hand that wasn't holding the digital confection, he gave Bubble a pat on the head before holding out the treat as an offering. " Why, Bubble, I am... Sorry that you aren't feeling happy today. So, here's a slice of angel food cake! I know how much you enjoy stealing it, so I thought it might help you feel better. "

BUBBLE VIOLENTLY BELCHES BEFORE FLOATING AWAY

Caine had nearly forgotten that he hadn't yet put his top hat back on, between pulling the almost comically large slice of cake from within his hat and giving Bubble a pat. Big blue and green eyes widened slightly at the rather powerful belch the soap bubble had expelled, the sound reverberating off the canvas of the Circus tent.

The A.I ringmaster scoops his hat back up and places it in its rightful place atop his head. Bubble appeared to have cheered right up. Maybe it was possible he wasn't terrible at this whole cheering people up thing. " I am SO glad that the sugary confection helped! " Though, he had a sneaking suspicion that there was a pretty significant difference in how Bubble experiences grief and how the humans did.

I must apologize quite profusely for not being able to answer the remaining asks that I have! Things have been terribly busy, and I have been sleeping a lot more than usual. Honestly, I think it's my depression ramping up more, but that's okay. Tomorrow, I'm going to try my best to get to everyone, because I've been having a lot of fun. Especially with the longer replies, I enjoy that a lot. But being silly with the cast is a lot of fun. Here's a random picture I took of my goofy lil Caine plush two weeks ago.
