[ Hi! I’m Puck, a 21 y/o illustrator living in the USA. This blog is something fun I wanted to do on the side of my main art blog. Obviously I’m a big fan of Elias. My main art blog is runefells. As well as answering asks I will also dump my low quality Elias + Jonelias sketches here. This blog functions on two separate but concurrent timelines. Half of answers will be following canon starting from season 1. This posts will be tagged under #canon ask. The other half exist in an au where Jon and Elias are dating. This takes place a few years after Jon becomes archivist and after most of the events of canon (though some things are changed- specifically no one dies and Jonah doesn’t perform his ritual). These asks will be tagged under #dating ask. If asks aren’t clear on which timeline you’re asking for I will just guess. This blog is also 18+. Do you prefer Jon with long hair or short hair?

While Jon looks quite pretty with long hair it does come with… issues. Namely waking up with his hair in my mouth every morning. It is extremely unpleasant having to pull hair from your teeth. His hair also gets everywhere in the shower. And on the furniture.

He also has a bad habit of not taking very good care of his hair. Then it falls to me.

Rant aside, however Jon wishes to style his hair is fine with me.

Thoughts on Jon wearing more feminine clothing, like skirts and dresses?

I’ve always like feminine clothes on masculine bodies.

I think he looks very cute in them. I only wish he was more confident in himself.

I've always lacked confidence in myself, Elias, this isn't new. I just don't want to... catch unnecessary attention. I'd rather melt into the crown than stand out in it. You know that.

Do you believe in heaven? What's your image of the afterlife like Elias (if you have one that is)?

I wouldn’t consider myself a religious man, despite my devotion to the Eye (though I will not go into whether or not the Fears count as gods now). I was raised religious though, and years of being told I was going to hell are hard to forget. Even now. Ah how the young mind can be so impressionable.

I’ll admit, its hard for me to dismiss notions of ‘the soul’. One cannot disconnect their self, their pure consciousness, from the structures of the brain and body that usually contain it, while retaining said sense of self (more or less) without thinking of its implications. How can I say there is no soul when I very well may be living proof?

As for what this means for an afterlife… I do not know. The way I see it I have two options awaiting me after death:

1. Hell. Punishment. I certainly would be punished for the things I’ve done in this life.

2. Nothing. The complete erasure of who I am. Forever.

Neither of which I am keen to experience.

Elias, what languages can you speak?

Well, due to Beholding, language barriers don’t quite exist for me. It grants me the ability to understand or speak any language I need. However, there are a few languages I learnt the old fashioned way. Presented here in the order I acquired them:

German

French

Italian

Mandarin

I have various levels of knowledge of other languages (most notably Russian and Japanese) but I am not conversational in them without the Eye’s assistance.

I do enjoy learning new languages, when I have the free time that is.

Do you and Jon have a cat? If yes, did you get them and what's their name?

Unfortunately.

Jon was determined to bring in some feral stray that touched his bleeding heart. I tried my best to reason with him- I dislike animals and it has so far been mutual in every animal I’ve interacted with. Plus, I didn’t want animal fur all over my furniture.

Jon won in the end. He insisted I name her to ‘bond’. So I named her Gertrude. She seems to be just as irritating and determined to ruin my life.

What does the archives staff think of you? (canon ask)

Well lets see…

Both Tim and Sasha have an immense dislike for authority, and so on that basis dislike or at the very least distrust me. I would say we have a normal boss/employee relationship despite this.

Sasha does maintain a grudge against me for giving Jon the position of Head Archivist instead of her. Of course I had my own reasons for that- none of which were rooted in misogyny like she thinks.

Martin- he fears me. He’s deathly afraid I’ll find out he lied on his CV and fire him. It’s nearly a constant stream of delicious fear.

And Jon— he is determined to not disappoint me. The man has quite a few issues with needing the respect of authority figures. We are the closest as I’ve spent more time developing a relationship with him.
