Sat Olympus. The realm of the gods. You know them, Zeus and his many many lovers, Heraās temper, Hades and his relationship with Persephone, Athena, Hermes, Hestia, Demeter.
But our story is about Hephaestus, Aphrodite and Ares. You know their story. The rushed marriage of Aphrodite to Hephaestus so no male gods would fight over her, Aphrodite wandering eye towards Ares, the cheating, Hephaestus catching them in his net. You know it. But surely, their marriage was ā¦ annulled. Right?
Aphrodite sat in her temple of love and sex, being tended to by her servants when Hermes comes in āOh! Aphrodite! Zeus calls on you to come to the grand temple.ā
Aphrodite huffs in annoyance but raises from her seat, the gorgeous goddess makes her way to the temple, wondering why she needs to meet with Zeus on this day
Aphrodite approaches the main hall of the temple, only to see Hephaestus, the broken man who she had been married to before, sitting in a bench as his legs were so weak, she scoffs in annoyance āgoodness.. why are you here? Shouldnāt you be wasting your time in your forge?ā
Hephaestus rolls his eyes, his under eyes dark from constantly working all the time āZeus has asked me to be here too.ā He stood on his weaken legs
The pair walked begrudgingly to the main room, Zeus stood there, with a sheepish expression on his face.. Next to him was Hera, the queen of the gods, goddess of marriage itself and Hephaestusās mother, she gives Zeus a look
Zeus coughs nervously āAphrodite. Hephaestus. I have done troubling news.. as you know, I had .. annulled your marriage due to um.. conflict of interest..ā
Hera corrects Zeus āAphrodite cheated on Hephaestus.ā Aphrodite rolls her eyes at Heraās comment
Zeus nods, agreeing with Heraās correction āā¦ but I have been made aware.. very recently.. that I do not have the power to do that.. Only Hera does.ā
Hephaestus cautiously steps forward āwhat does that mean?ā He spoke in his gruff tone
Hera spoke āit means.. you two have remained married for all this time.. and you been cheating on each other for all this time as well. ā¦ and as we are trying to stop all cheating all together..ā she gives Zeus a look that made him scared before continuing āā¦ you two will need to face punishment.ā
Aphrodite scoffs āa punishment? Really? What? Do paper work for all the gods? Clean up some messes ?ā
Zeus then spoke āa temporary banishment.ā
Hephaestus and Aphrodite both froze
Hephaestus spoke first āBanishment?! To where?ā
Zeus looks at Hephaestus āTo earth. You will both be placed into the bodies of two mortals for a Year. No contact with gods, no powers and you two will be in the bodies of a married couple.ā
Aphrodite then spoke, her voice pitching as she yells āBut Iām the goddess of love and sex ! You canāt send me away!ā
Hera then says āEros will be taking over for you.ā
Aphrodite became speechless, Hephaestusās jaw was dropped
Zeus then says āI bid you too farewell.ā He slams on the marble pedestal and the floor drops beneath Hephaestus and Aphrodite, both of them dropping to earth
Aphrodite screams as she falls āITS ALL YOUR FAULT!ā She yells at Hephaestus
Hephaestus yells back āMY FAULT?! HOW?!ā
Aphrodite then screams āIF ONLY YOU LOVED ME!ā

LA. 7:00am, a small studio apartment
A 5ā6ā brown hair, brown eyed woman jolts up awake, she gets out of the bed and looks in the mirror, shocked to see herself in the mirror, this was Aphrodite mortal body! It was plain, chubby, she had dark undereyes.. she screams in horror āNo!ā She wasnāt the beautiful goddess anymore..
Then she heard some groaning.. a man slowly got of the bed.. He was tall, 5ā11? Maybe 6ā0ā? Dark hair, bright eyes, muscular, long legs, body hair and facial hair.. he looks at Aphrodite āā¦ Aphrodite?ā
Aphrodite gasps in shock, her eyes widen āHephaestus?!ā
