I'm Polish and its kinda weird for me like .. I like this ship but then i think about history stuff and its just.. Like the characters are making a cute relationship together but still the WW II, all the fights and many more makes it unlikable for me

((Yeah, to me gerpol is kind of like rusame at first, with a sort of rivalry and disdain towards each other, but I based this ship on the premise that they mainly Poland have forgiven each other, but even sometimes they look at each other and see their past selves. I don’t want to make it seem as if they’re able to overcome their scars, but they’re trying to cope.

I do understand that feeling though, and I’ll definitely be considerate of how I treat the historical part of the ship. When I first started shipping them I didn’t even know much about the history, and now I still try to maintain a mental separation between the characters and the real-life country.))

I'll tell you even more, I'm a Polish living in Germany (and writing the German Abi currently XD) So yeah, you kinda can say GerPol is literally my life xDD

Woah!! That’s actually so cool!! I have no Polish/German in me at all, but I think it’s so cool when people who actually have experiences in the country that they ship, cause it’s like you know first hand how everything is in those countries and I have so little idea about what the Abi is but I know it’s something to do with university so honey I’m here supporting you, you get your education and make your buck honey!!!

German here, and GerPol shipper too x3 Even if I do prefer Nyo a bit xD Then again, they do fit pretty well :3 I also like PrusPol quite a bit, but there I am not sure if you have any thoughts on that ship ^^°

And @ask-the-icelandic-little YAYYYY!!! I love Pruspol! Their personalities are super compatible, and they’re some of my favorite characters!! I don’t ship it as much as gerpol though because of a fanfic I read, it wasn’t bad, but the content was questionable for me, so I can’t think about the ship without thinking about that fanfic TvT
