How did you all meet exactly?
Electracey: āMe and Lillian met in a public Library over a decade ago during summer. We bonded over some bookā couldnāt remember it if I tried. Weād become friends and hang out almost every day. Not that we did anything very exciting. Nearly a year after we met she tried to get me to listen to a song sheād written. It was god awful and will never see the light of day againā but it was a start of something. Not that it could anyway, I think the tape we recorded it on is far gone.
At the time I thought it was genius. She offered I play some instrument on her next song, even though I hadnāt an idea how to. Sheād taught me the basics of guitar, though she didnāt know much more than I did. She wasnāt bad, better than me anyway. Haha!!!! And soā by the 9th grade, weād made our first song together. It wasnāt good, not in my view anyway.
Essentially, it was an unofficial band of 2 kids. We were horrible and hadnāt a clue what we were doing.
In the 10th grade, Colin had learned the bass Guitar and kinda justā joined? Canāt remember how. I think we had him at a practice and he just, kept tagging along. Thank goodness for that!
I think we met Pheebs at a concert the same year. Who we went to see if far behind me now, but she was estaticā Iād told her I was in a band, and maybe she thought I was serious, but she wanted in on it.
Genesis was introduced to us by Colin in the 12th grade, and was more than happy to participate. She had been in band previously and was phenomenal at the drums. We really couldnāt pass up the offer! Before genesis we had been using an old beat up drum machine and we were in desperate need of a drummer!ā
