Ira cringes and tosses a brief glance over her shoulder as footsteps clamor down the hall. Their shadows slant across the walls like black flame and she feels as if she'll be sick. She presses her forehead against the door. "Sir, there's no time- General Hux has rallied quite a few officers and nearly all of the Stormtroopers to his cause." Ira pauses, "they mean to murder you- you have to get out of here." She takes a deep breath, "I'll distract them for as long as I can."
Kylo’s eyes flashed with emotion. He had always intended to keep Hux around until he outlived his usefulness and then dispose of him-the general’s betrayal had caught him completely off guard.
Scanning his quarters one more time, Kylo spotted a rumpled ball of black fabric in the dim red light. Whoever had robbed his quarters had evidently missed something. Kylo quickly shrugged on the tunic and slammed the button to open his door.
Locking eyes with the frightened cadet, Kylo commanded in a voice riddled with poorly suppressed anger, “Take me to him. This mutiny ends now.”
