Thorin Oakenshield and the Elf-King, Darrell Sweet
Oh sweet Aule the haircuts on those guards.
I was thinking that too.
Is this what they call a 'mullet'? I have never seen an Elf with hair like this in all my life.

My hair is not white. Nor is my beard. Which, by the way, does not exist. I am not that old.
Ahahahahahaha! Oh, dear.
I suppose it must be hard to paint someone's likeness when you have never laid eyes on them... however there are descriptions of you in many tales, so I don't quite understand this...
Chibi Haldir! gosh this is so cute!
Thranduil… your son is beautiful.
I may or may not be slightly tipsy on mead.
Well… thank you Glóin.Mead or no mead, I’m flattered.
You have a very handsome son yourself, but he hasn’t been online for a long time. Do you have any idea why that might be? I miss him.
You think he’s handsome, and you miss him? Well well well now…
But nay I do not know. I suspect he is hard at work.
I was merely stating a fact about his handsomeness, and I miss him because he's one of my closest friends. Don't go putting words into my mouth, now. I wouldn't want to make Haldir jealous... well, maybe I would. It might be amusing.
/sighs
All that my friends ever seem to do these days is work. I wish that we had more time for one another.

ask-haldiroflorien replied to your post: King Thranduil, as I will be on my way to Eryn Lasgalen alongside your son and King Oropher, I simply wished to make sure your little ‘challenge’ was still in play, for I am dearly looking forward to it.
Your confidence is just, I am sure, but you have never taken on a Marchwarden of Lothlorien before. It may be you sporting bruises once we are done.
*Laughs* As is yours, it seems! Mayhap it is, but only time will tell. But think of it this way… if you do end up being the one ground in the dust, Legolas might help you back on your feet in several ways.
*Smirks* I have gotten over my initial intimidation of you. I will do my best to prove to you I am worthy. Ah, you make a good point. I am sure he will indeed help me back on my feet - though I think he will also help me onto my back again…
Oh, have you now? *raises eyebrow* It seems I must do better to intimidate you then… find new ways, so to speak. Yes, you will. Only the best is good enough. Oh, I am quite sure he will… but if I see one mark on him, one limp, the next morning, you will be a head shorter…. literally.
I will not allow myself to be intimidated by my lover’s father. You may be significantly larger than myself, but that simply means you have further to fall when I knock you down. Oh, you do not have to worry about such things - I am a very gentle lover.
Hah! Larger, hm? You need not be afraid to say that I am larger sideways as well, for this I am quite aware of. Takes more to hurt me than a stick like you. *Smirks* Are you now? Interesting….
I am not afraid to say it, though I find it rude to point it out under these circumstances, even if the recipient is aware of it. A stick like me? Sometimes all it takes is a stick to tame the beast. *Shrugs* Yes, I am. I practically worship him.
Hm, if you say so…. Tame the beast? And you truly believe you can master such a thing? Hardly. I would love to see you try though, as it would be quite amusing when you failed. Worship him… I will believe this when I see it.
Of course I can. If I cannot tame you with my sword I shall tame you with my charm. I have made your son love me, though I am still baffled as to how I managed that, so it is not a far reach to suggest I will do the same for you, though to a far lesser degree. And see it you will, King Thranduil, I assure you.
Tame me, is it? I am now quite intrigued! And it would be amusing if you decided to try and love me the same way you love my son, though I would have to decline your advances if that was to be. I will be waiting.
Ah, that will not be possible, for you are not quite my type. I shall leave that particular ‘taming’ to Lord Celeborn.
*Laughs* You do so, it would be the wisest decision you’ve ever made.
This whole conversation... I'm not sure whether to laugh or bang your heads together.
You are sorely missed, my dear prince! Ah, things are going well with Duirro, yes. More than well. Things are perfect.
I'm so pleased! I might even be jealous if I weren't deliriously happy myself.
Oh, wonderful! It will be nice to have his company, too. I can get to know the Elf my grandson has given his heart to.
I'm sure you'll approve, he's almost impossible to dislike (unless you happen to be my father, in which case it seems very easy indeed).
Hello there, my prince. I trust you are enjoying your stay in Imladris? We are all eagerly awaiting your return to Eryn Lasgalen. I hope your journey goes well.
Hello Galion. I'm eagerly awaiting it too, if I'm honest. I've been away from home for far too long.
How are things going with Duirro?
My beloved grandson, I intend to depart Imladris in a day or two, and I wanted to check that this is okay for you, too. After all, I would very much love to be travelling alongside you.
Yes, that should be fine! I need to ask Haldir if he still intends to join us, but I can't see there being any problem.
I look forward to travelling with you too, grandfather.
I do love your vanity, meleth.
Vanity? I’m not vain, I’m just confident! You should be a little more “vain”, you know.
Of course, of course. My mistake. *smirk* Me? Well… I know I am attractive. I do not see the need to flaunt it.
So you think I flaunt my attractiveness? I see. Are you jealous that someone else may like what they see, beloved? ;)
I do love your vanity, meleth.
Vanity? I'm not vain, I'm just confident! You should be a little more "vain", you know.
I think we have possibly the most interesting 'how we first met' story of any couple we know...
Haldir carefully carried a tray of food up from the kitchens to his room, where as far as he knew, Legolas was still sleeping. He was smiling, relieved that Orophin at least was not mad at him, and he intended to spend the morning in bed with his beloved. He awkwardly balanced the tray on one hand as he opened the door to his suite, and carried it through to the bedchamber - smiling when he saw the figure still sprawled in the bed.
He set the tray down on the bedside table quietly and perched on the edge of the bed, reaching over to stroke Legolas’ hair out of his face. Still smiling, he leant down and kissed him awake.
Legolas’ eyes fluttered as he was pulled from his sleep. For once he’d been having a pleasant dream; not of war and slaughter, but of the forest of his home. He’d dreamt he was walking barefoot on the sun-warmed grass, but the other details quickly slipped from him when he felt a pair of lips touch his. “Meleth…” he mumbled, rolling towards his lover and returning the kiss. Breaking it a moment later, he sat up on one elbow, rubbing his eyes. “Have you been awake long?” He could smell something faintly, a delicious smell. Turning his head in the direction the scent was wafting from, a smile spread to his lips. “You brought me breakfast in bed?” he asked, wrapping an arm around Haldir’s waist and bringing him close for a second kiss. “You’re such a darling” he said, nipping Haldir’s jaw playfully. He knew that Haldir was most likely still feeling guilt over the time they’d spent apart, but if it meant that he got spoilt for a little while then Legolas didn’t mind at all.
Haldir grinned as Legolas woke - he was adorable when he was still half-asleep. He threaded his fingers in soft blond hair and pressed a soft kiss to his temple. “Not that long, no.” He smiled, happy that he seemed pleased to see the breakfast he had brought to him. He happily returned the kiss offered to him, giving a soft growl of delight as he nipped at his jaw, nuzzling against his cheek. “I thought it would be nice for you. I was not sure what to make, so… I hope it is suitable.”
Legolas pulled Haldir down to lie next to him, taking both of his hands and threading their fingers together, as well as wrapping one leg over Haldir’s. He pressed their foreheads to one another. “I’m glad I didn’t keep you waiting for long,” he said, smiling. After kissing his love again briefly on the lips, he rolled over him and made to grab the food. “You weren’t sure what to make so you made everything?” he asked, teasing. Legolas was used to just a couple of boiled eggs and some fruit for breakfast. He didn’t usually allow himself the pleasure of rich food, but the tray in front of him included some truly mouth-watering little pastries that he wouldn’t be able to refuse. He took one and moved back to Haldir, sitting astraddle him and holding it as he nibbled. “By the Valar, this is delicious,” he said with an exagerrated moan of delight. “But I shouldn’t be eating this first thing in the morning. You’re a bad influence.” He poked Haldir in the chest with his free hand.
“Ai, but I would never mind waiting for you.” He grinned, watching him as he turned to study the breakfast he’d made for him. “Ah, well….” He laughed a little, stroking his hand up and down Legolas’ thigh softly. “I wanted it to be special for you.” He watched him nibble delicately at the pastry, finding he adored him more and more. “I am glad you think so.” He bit his lip gently at the moan of delight - Valar, he made the most delicious sounds! “Oh, but you like my bad influence.” He caught the offending finger and pulled himself up into a sitting position, hooking an arm around Legolas’ waist as he kissed under the curve of his jaw. “Do not deny it.”
Legolas felt warmth spread through him at having Haldir's hand on his thigh. "Well, I suppose as a treat..." he smiled, brushing some crumbs from the corner of his mouth. He liked to watch Haldir watching him; Haldir's expression was one of such adoration, it was really incredibly sweet.
Pulled close to Haldir, he wrapped an arm around the back of his neck and bestowed a delicate kiss on his lips. "Of course I love it," he said quietly, stroking Haldir's hair. He picked another of the little pastries up off their plate and all but crammed it into Haldir's mouth, grinning. "You should really try one of these!" he insisted, hoping that Haldir would help him eat the rest of the food as he couldn't possibly manage it all on his own.
