What's Christmas like for our Martin? Will you see friends or family?

Actually, I still haven't decided. Theresa has invited me to spend Christmas with her, but on the other hand, I haven't seen mum and the rest of the family in a while. And God knows that Carolyn isn't one to pass up a job, even if it's on Christmas...

Have you gotten Douglas back for any of the stupid stunts he's pulled?

Well... I mean, I think I "getting back" is a bit below my dignity as a Captain, but after the whole Camelot-debacle in Cremona, me and Arthur ended of charing the Excelsior-room (and yes, Arthur did sleep on the floor).

In terms of enormous wives, which one would make a better goalie - Mrs. Berling or the former Mrs. Herc?

I haven't actually met the old Mrs. Shipwright, but Mrs. Berling really doesn't seem like the kind of woman who would be a goalie in the first place.

Heard from Mr. Lehman lately? In a whisper of smoke in the cabin, or perhaps your dreams?

Hmm. Not too often, these days, I mean. But it's not the sort of thing you just forget. I did actually think about that flight the other day. Odd that you should bring it up...

How do you feel about Douglas' musical skills?

I suppose he's quite good at playing the piano and all that... But to be hones, I- I think he's a bit of a show-off.

What do you always carry in your pockets?

My pilot's license, obviously. I usually carry my keys, but while we're on lay-overs, it's safer to keep them in my bag at then hotel-room rather than in my pocket. I mean, it's not as if I'd need the key to my van while in Paris, ha ha ha!

What's your favorite view, when you are flying?

Ooo! That is a very good question! I mean, i- it sort of depends on what mood your in, I suppose. The ocean gets quite boring after a while – I mean it's beautiful, but it's very much the same thing all through.

Me personally, I quite like cityscapes at night. What, with all the different coloured lights, and imagining all the people on the ground and their lives, and so on.

But as I said, I really enjoy all sorts of views, so long as it's from a plane.

I don't understand. How do you get a ring out of a living goose?

Well, I... I don't really want to be reminded of it, but... Let's just say that it comes out... In the other end, so to speak. Of course, the problem with geese is that they tend spend a lot of their time in water, so... Yes, that. As I said, I don't want to think about it.

Hello! I'm really sorry about my absence. I have had a lot on my plate as of late, and really I don't think I can be expected to prioritize an online blog over my work. I will endeavor to answer more of your questions in the future.

Nicest thing Arthur has ever done for you?

Well, that depends on how you define "nice".

I highly doubt he's ever done anything with less than good intentions. In that respect it's impossible to say what the nicest thing he's ever done is.

Of course, if we're looking at the level of niceness of the outcomes, the nicest thing he's done is when he doesn't do anything...

Do you have to room with Douglas on overnight flights? What does he wear or not wear to bed?

I think I've only shared a room with Douglas one or two times. Since Carolyn refuses to share with anyone, she usually books two rooms for the three of us, and Douglas, being who he is, pretty much always gets the single.

The only time there's any chance of us sharing is when Arthur isn't with us, and even then Douglas often comes up with some scheme to get his own room.

The few times we have roomed, his wearing regular two-piece pyjamas.

Not that I can imagine why'd you want to know.

Why did you learn all the manual?

So that I'd always know what to do in every situation. Obviously! Of course, no manual could ever prepare you for flying with MJN...

Ha ha ha. No jars. Pilots need proper food.
