Lore:

Zankoku met Akari when she was running away from her ex husband. She had a two year old son, but he didn’t mind. He had one of his wizards cast a love spell on Akari, successfully making her fall in love with the king. A year later, she gave birth to half demon twins. Akari died in childbirth and Zankoku ate her. Michio saw so the demonic man ate him too.. When Miki and Miko turned five the abuse really started. He would use his demon powers to burn them, leaving lasting scars on their bodies. Miko ran away when he and Miki were 12 years old, joining the Silent Shadows mafia. He grew close with his fellow members, especially Daichi. Daichi helped Miko inform their boss, Aaron, and his second in command, Yukio, of Miki’s existence. Miko prayed his sister was still alive. He hoped she didn’t hate him for leaving her with their father.. 2 years pass and they figure out a way into Zankoku’s castle. When they got to the castle Zankoku was in the middle of eating Miki. Yukio immediately shot Zankoku to bits and picked up the unconscious girl after she fully regenerated. He handed her to Miko with a small smile. Aaron adopted Miki and Miko. Miki and Yukio grew close and got together a few weeks later. On Miki’s and Miko’s 18th birthday, Yukio took Miki out to her favorite restaurant and then they went to a flower field nearby that Miki loved to go to. He proposed to her and she accepted! They got married 7 months later.
