basically the whole "plot" is around america being bummed out that he wasn't put on the football/soccer team (coach said his strength was in the upper body, not lower) and ends up on the cheerleading squad. he's rly awkward and insecure about it (his top doesn't even cover his chest) but romano, belgium, prussia, and vene are all super supportive! main ship is romerica, with one-sided pruame and caname (maybe a bit of veneroma... but that's just background noise and not real feelings)
