Lucas doesn't say anything. He just runs up to Rydia and gives her the biggest hug he can manage. He really missed her, more than anything.

Rydia flinched at the sudden contact from seemingly nowhere but then settles when she realizes who it is. "Hey you!" She laughs as she nuzzles into Lucas' chest, hugging him back just as tightly. Although maybe a little more gently, she didn't want to hurt his ribs. "It's been a while."

"I actually learned archery using the set Ravio had for sale. It took me a while but I'm okay at it. I don't rely on it too much though."

An apple fell to the floor, and the young girls eyes widened as she picked the apple back up, stuffed it in her bag and scrambled for the door.

She was making such a clean getaway.

And then she tripped over her own feet and faceplanted. She made sure the food was safe though, what type of person would spoil perfectly good food like that?

“Got you!” Link snapped, grabbing the thief by the coat and lifting her up. 

Wait, why was she so light? Looking down, he realized it wasn’t an adult. Goddesses she was so small and young! Why was a kid all on her own? And more importantly, why did her face remind her of that idiot?

“… I won’t tell the guards if you cough up an explaination asap. Who are you and what’s a kid doing stealing food from other people’s homes?”

Small feet kicked, trying to set themselves free. When that didn't work they slumped in defeat, sighing sadly.

"I am but a poor child who has no money and wishes to survive. So I take what I need and mosey on out. Easy peasy." She was so proud of herself. She used those big words her older brother had taught her. Maybe this sucker would let her go.
