A final piece that breaks the frame

The day I was sent off, I thought I would die. My parents always described humans as mean and selfish people. I never met other humans, were they dangerous, were they going to hurt me? I was scared, even if I tried to tell myself otherwise. You and I couldn't get along when we first met, you punched me that day. My fear reached it's levels, it was so overwhelming. But, you apologized to me the next morning. You even drew me a picture. That was the moment I finally understood it. How it felt, it felt great. That sigh of relief changed me, you changed me, all of them changed me. You were the one I was close to the most. You gave me hope and will, you gave me love, you gave me what I needed at the time. I couldn't wish for a savoir kinder than you. And so on that day, the day you were replaced, I was cursed by the vines of your cruel lies.

Robokasa, Chapter 1 Prolouge: The tales of the abandoned.

My life ended short. I was born into this world to find my purpose only for the same world to show me how hard it can be to find one. Some find purpose through talent, ability, passion or even love. I don't believe that I have a purpose myself, but I can't say I don't have one either. At the very least, I'm proud that my purpose in this life isn't a selfish one.

I remember being just a kid, they were grabbing me and the other kids and taking us somewhere. Before I could understand anything I felt something heavy land on me. I was stuck under rubble for days before someone found me. Their name was Mizuki, their sister ended up rescuing me. When the light hit my face, the mere memory of my creators disappeared and my eyes started creating a sea in my head. It's been there for a while. We weren't safe yet though as another disaster struck. I panicked, running across the buildings that came from hell, only for my leg to be grabbed by satan himself and crushed by the building's structure. Mizuki's sister amputated my leg, I had to make myself a prosthetic one to help myself. I was only seven years old at that time. Years past, I think any other creature, or the remaining of the kids that roamed our streets, believe in us being dead. I knew we we're stuck here and it wasn't long before Mizuki lost her sister to an illness.

Mizuki was more of an adventurer. She became more talkative to me over the years. She opened up more about her feelings. She promised me she's going to help us escape. I don't believe her in the slightest. She's the one who finds most of the resources we need, especially clothes. I can't say I love or hate her company, but I'm glad I'm not alone. I, on the other hand, was the opposite of her. I had a weak mental state from an outside perspective, I could barely support myself, I didn't even put my trust in Mizuki. I am Rui Kamishiro, I am 18 years old, my purpose in life is to be something Mizuki can hold onto and feel calm at a time like this.

"Ruiii~ Come on! I made us breakfast!"

My eyes widened slightly at the word "breakfast". I always get excited when I have to luxury to eat something I didn't prepare. I stumbled on my leg for a second before walking over to Mizuki. Whilst eating, she opened up a small conversation. I always answer with "uhuh." ,"hmm", "ah" whenever me and Mizuki talk. I hope it's not annoying to her. The least I would want is her not liking me anymore.

"Hey Rui, why don't we explore around together this time?"

Mizuki asks. I don't like exploring around.

"No."

"Come on! We can look for more materials for gear and your prosthetic!"

"What if I-"

Mizuki cuts me off with a cold "You won't." I don't get it, the last times I ever seen that sun where the times I lost everything.

"I'll get attacked by those buildings again..."

"What did I just say? I'll protect you if they try!"

"I don't want you to get hurt."

"Rui, I don't care. I actually want to spend time outside with you rather than being stick in this little tent!"

I wanted to protest but I bit my tongue and stayed quiet. She has a point, it's been long since I tried walking outside. If I continue this, my prosthetic can stiffen to the point I can use it no more. I hesitate before lifting myslef up, using Mizuki's shoulder for support. She helps me up and takes me to my bed, where we intact my prosthetic. I get dressed in one of Mizuki's clothes walked out of the tent. The light hit my eyes, the sea that's filled in my little head shrinks as it floods the flower right beneath me. I ignore the sudden action and I walk towards Mizuki. She holds my hand as we start walking through the city. It's been a while since I've seen these buildings. It seems like satan is asleep at the moment. I felt a little safer, thanks to the angel beside me.

"See? Everything is okay!"

Maybe. Maybe it was okay. For now. Although Armageddon will return one day, for now it was okay.

"It is?"

"It is."

I felt more relaxed. That relaxation quickly disappeared the moment I heard something familiar. The sound of my feet touching the ground, a new pair of feet were doing that exact same thing.

"Hey Rui."

Mizuki grabbed me close.

"I heard footsteps."

My heart dropped, it wasn't okay. That same sea started flooding through the gates as the god who could once control them drown in them in the midst of a second.

"Rui!"

"You lied. You lied you lied!"

I let go of Mizuki's hand and run to the opposite direction. What was worse was that, my leg hit a rock which caused it to break. I couldn't run or move. I was terrified. The sea in my head was getting smaller by the minute.

"No need to fear! We're no danger!"

A voice said. My eyes widened. A voice, a real voice spoke to me. It was definitely not Mizuki. I turned my head around to see two new people standing still behind me. One was pink, the other was orange, they both had glowing eyes that represent those colors. Their skin wasn't skin, it looked like my prosthetics on another level, more advanced.

"You...you're not...a person."

The pink one giggled.

"Of course not silly! We're robots!!"

Robots? So that's why they look like that.

"We were wondering on where the party people went?"

The orange one asked.

"Yeah! This place is almost a wasteland!"

"What's that?"

Mizuki asks, as she walks next to the pink robot.

"A wasteland is someplace that's empty and desolate, with no sign of life or growth. An area may be a wasteland because of toxic materials in the soil, or due to climate conditions like strong winds."

The robot said as she shook her head before kneeling down in front of Rui.

"I'm EmuRobo! Nice to meet you!"

"N-Nice to meet you. I'm Rui..."

The orange one stroke a pose.

"I AM ROBOKASA!!!! THE ROBOT STAR!!!!!"

"Cool. I'm Mizuki!"

I was confused...where did these robots come from? Before I could ask, Emurobo caresses my thigh.

"Where's your leg Rui?"

"I lost it when I was little."

I started explaining me and Mizuki's situation to the two robots. After I finished my story, Robokasa spoke up.

"I see. No need to worry! We can build a new leg prosthetic for you!"

I thanked the robots before Mizuki carried me over to our tent along with the two. I waited for an hour or so and my new leg was ready. I tried it on, it was surprisingly comfortable. It took me half an hour to fully steady myself. I couldn't have thanked the robots enough.

It was late at night, I couldn't sleep. So I decided to watch the stars for fun. As I walked out of the tent, I saw Robokasa standing in front. He looked at me with slight surprise.

"Rui?! Why aren't you sleeping!?"

"I couldn't..."

I said, I took a seat next to him.

"I see!"

"What about you? I saw Emurobo laying next to Mizuki, sleeping."

"Hahaha! You silly person! Robots don't sleep, they recharge! I have my power fully intact! So I'm guarding this tent from any danger!"

My mouth formed a small smile at those words, but I couldn't for my own. I continued staring at the stars.

"If you'd like, I can help ya sleep?"

"Fufu, how? By singing me a lullaby?"

"Exactly!"

Before I could reply, a soft melody started playing. It felt so comforting. Maybe it was a spell that he was playing, because I fell asleep a minutes later. The melody sounded like my creators. I really want to see them once again. Maybe these robots can help me. Maybe then...I can find my true purpose.

The remaining story:

After Rui gets turned into Ruirobo, the gang find him next to the empty hospital bed. Kanade suspects that Saki was behind this and told everyone to "prepare"

Meanwhile our robo girl trio,

Mafurobo explains to Emurobo and Nenerobo that she and Emu have dead spirits in them that control their robot-selves. And the shadow on the wall, behind Emu, is the spirit that controlled her. Ena Shinonome. But just then, Saki breaks in. She starts dashing to the robots. Emu tries calming her down, but she gets torn to pieces in the process. Next, Mafuyu gets crushed. Nene manages to escape, being face to face with Tsukasa. He explains Rui's new predicament to her and she agrees to help.

After their preparation was over, the gang go to the warehouse. There, they find Saki. She tells the whole story to Rui as she tries to get a hold of him. Thanks to Tsukasa, they managed to weaken her a bit. Nene tells her (Saki) how it's all over now. In a moment of despration, Saki creates a fire that covers the whole warehouse. Nene ran to the room with the tubes and found Rui's body in there. As she was trying to get him out, water went through her system, causing her break down. Kanade and Minori help the body up and run. Tsukasa glances at Saki once more before running off aswell. However, he gets crushed while trying to escape. Rui survives and returns to his normal body, and he uses the mini-robokasa to re-build the normal one.

Now that we're closing this story, let me show you the premise of the revamped version!

In an apocalyptic country with no escape, Rui and Mizuki, both 7 years old, live as the only people left. While they wait for rescue to come, they decide to build homes in this place. Years past, they're 23, no hope. They made peace with the place they were in, until-

-Rui, who had a strong interest in robots since he was little, a whole ahh lab full of abandoned robots. He decided to fix them up and see what they'll do, and they worked! Now he, Mizuki and the robots have to find ways to survive in the wastelans of a country.

So the au has become a mambo jumbo at this point...so I will be revamping it instead of it staying as a Fnaf knock off.

But I know the story aint over yet, so the anniversary will explain mostly everything (beginning from where we left off)

Chapter 4: Prologue

And ever since then...I kept working and working...until she didn't need me anymore. She didn't set me free though. She kept me in a room because she knew I would tell someone. That was until Honarobo rescued me and we got out of that freakshow...

Oh...wait....but if you knew they we're killer robots...then why-

The blood was their own...

They had human corpses inside them...I only thought they murdered Mafuyu and Ena but it seems they haven't stopped their plays...

T-then that means...Tsukasa...was a real person?

He is...or...was...but Robokasa is only based off of him. He was brought to life by code. Not a soul.

I see...are the other robots..?

Yes. Akito was one of our employees...Honami was our stage director. When Saki thinks you're no longer needed, you are needed for the robots. What's scummy is that our employees aren't known people. Not a lot of people know that they exist. So it's no crime for them to die and be replaced by robots.

I see...

What time is it, by the way?

It's uhh...six forty five! Why?

Kanade pushes the "on" button and Tsukasa slowly gets up.

When Rui looks at Tsukasa, he sees that one of his pupils is now a star symbol instead of a spiral

W-what's wrong with your pupil?

Emu starts to untie Nene from the ropes. Nene was clearly confused and so was Mafuyu. Nene looks over to Mafuyu but her eye catches something else. A figure. A figure in Emu's shadow. It was a girl. A girl with short hair, looking back at Nene with wide, rage filled eyes. She looks at the clock. It's noon. What does that mean?

Nene ran in the empty streets, going as fast as her mechanics can. Seconds felt like hours...hours felt like days...days felt like years. But she really just ran for 15 minutes. She stopped in the middle of a crossing.

Ah...what is this place...

She asked herself, before someone bumps into her.

Gah-!

Ah-...

Sorry! I didn't look where I was going...

Nene stayed quiet, not knowing what to really do. The guy had short, purple hair with teal streaks. Their eyes, a golden yellow. To the point it looks like the eyes of a snake. This was the first person she met that wasn't Kanade, Saki or even the janitor.

What is this place...?

Nene asks in a quiet tone, almost like a icy whisper.

Hm? It's the Scarmble Crossing. You've never been here before?

Should I...?

Are you not from here?

Uhm...yeah I'm not...I'm from..! Uhm...the city next door....

Nene, trying her best to look human, tried making small talk with the guy.

Would you like me to show you around?

Huh? Oh-Ahem! Yeah, sure.

Nene felt uneasy for a minute. Was this right? Should she ditch the guy and make a run for it back to Tsukasa? Should she continue this? Is this even right? Why is she blindly trusting a stranger? Stranger...no one can be a stranger when you know their name!

Hey uh, before we go...what's your name?

The guy looked back at her with slight surprise and replied:

Nene extended her hand for a shake, but the guy didn't shake it.

It will rain soon, we should head to the bookstore before we get wet...

They guy...Rui said before walking. Nene felt unease again before following him.

They enter a bookstore that was semi-empty. Nene looked at the lights above her without needing to blink in pain.

Do you like books?

Nene asked, as she looked at the books on the crimson wooded shelves.

Yeah, I read them when I'm bored. Or when I run out of ideas for shows...

Shows?

Nene's curiosity peeked.

Uh....nevermind.

Rui replied with a sad tone. Nene thought it was a personal issue maybe, so she continued eyeing the books. She saw a book titled: "I have no mouth, and I must scream". She said the title out loud to herself, which Rui overheard.

Oh that book...it's pretty dark.

What is it about?

It's about a war computer trapping the last remaining humans in the world and torturing them. The computer also changes the humans entirely to drive them crazy. The main character kills the remaining humans and he gets trapped in the hell the computer created. It turns the main character into a formless slug that doesn't have a mouth...hence the title: "I have no mouth, and I must scream".

Woah...what a weird concept. A computer...turning evil.

Nene grabbed the book and flipped it's pages. She stopped at a page where a weird sentence was written. She repeated the words out loud.

Cogito erco so...I think, therefore I am...? What does that mean....?

That's a quote from philosophy.

A quote? What does it mean when it says "I think, therefore I am"...?

Well...think of it like this.

Hm...

Nene felt confused. He just told her to think, what message is it sending?!

I don't get it.

This quote revolves around the question: "How do I know I'm real?" To know you're real, you have to think. Am I thinking? Then I'm real. If I'm given the ability to think, that means I'm not in a weird dream. That just means...I'm real. That's what it implies by saying: "I think, therefore I am", a short version for: "I am thinking, therefore I am real"...

Ah...!

All this time, Nene believed that her "fake" emotions were what made her real...when they were never fake to begin with. Emotions and feelings manifest from thinking. She thinks, therefore she is...

Nene said, unable to hold herself.

Rui said and smiled at Nene. He looked out the window.

Hey, the rain stopped. Would you like to sit at a càfe with me...?

Hm...

Nene thought, again. She thought, if she stayed near a normal human close, she would be safe from that place.

Sure...

Nene held Rui's hand. This felt wrong to Nene, playing with someone's emotions like that. But she wanted to be close to Rui. It was an attempt of protection and happiness. Rui helped Nene learn the meaning of "being real". And she wanted to help Rui too. Even if it meant...something had to be fake.

Saki ran for her life as Nene began chasing her. Nene couldn't let Saki get away with this...ever. Saki's breathing became heavy, sounding like a child close to it's final moments, before she got cornered.

You killed them didn't you?! Then made them into robots for your own selfish needs!!

Nene stop!!

Nene walks closer, her blade shining.

Shut it! Those robots didn't even know they were real...You killed them...and made them forgwt everything?! Who knows what you did!

Nene-

I'll end you-

Nene raises her blade.

Now...and here!!

NENE!!!

Nene swung her blade and-

KILLING ME WON'T DO SHIT!!!!

It hit the wall. Breaking a chunk.

What?

Nene what do you think will happen of you kill me?! That Tsukasa and Emu and...Mafuyu will become humans again!? No!! And everything will just stay the same!! Along with that, you'll lose those precious answers of the questions you hold.

Nene stopped and transformed her arm back to normal.

Well! They're the source for the robots. If that makes sense, they're basically people that are dead! The ginger was the one I killed, the blonde is dead via accident.

Nene flinches, looking insulted.

What makes the others so different!?

While...the person who died didn't possess them, there's still a soul in their bodies. A soul is more recognizable to emotions and actions or...anything that makes a human, human. It gets in their system perfectly. They can laugh whenever they want...cry whenever they want...be scared, nervous or embarrassed whenever they want! You? You only copy those feelings.

But so do they!!

No. They have those feelings.

But...I do have feelings also...? I feel weird now...I'm upset at hearing your thoughts about me...how does the soul even get in the body...?!

Simple, Every robot body has a part in them. Emu has her victims whole body stuffes inside her, so does Mafuyu. Tsukasa...he'll be getting one a week later.

That's..sick. You're sick!!! You just-!! Ahh!!!

Nene couldn't believe how faceless Saki was. Why is she saying these things so casually!?

But I don't have emotions...! So that's means-!

Don't worry Nene...You'll have them soon enough.

What?

You heard me.

Ah...!! You don't mean-!!

Nene could only look at Saki's evil grimace as it dawns on what Saki is implying.

No...

It's only a matter of time...

Ah...

The next few days, Nene couldn't stop thinking... About anything really. If she was fake...just a robot...how could she feel real? Feel emotions? Are they all just made up? Or was Saki lying to her? Not only that, she was about to get her falso emotions being replaced with real ones.

Nene had a malfunction in her foot, so she was in Kanade's workshop to get them fixed.

Nene glances at her body. Her face becoming more uneasy as she remembers what will happen in just a few days later.

...Nene...I heard you learned about all this...

...I did...

Hn...
