All Hail the Useless One

This is an independent RP blog for the IDW Transformers comics' character Rung. Post-Lost Light, "Rung Lives" AU. Spoilers (duh)

(Bee's moved himself over to Rung's place so he can cook a while.)

I'll get this done with, then head out and pick up some pretty yarn. Make myself a winter blanket, hell yeah!

[ask-rung]

*Rung pokes his head in upon overhearing that*

Oooh, what color were you thinking?

It'll be wool, so the natural wool colors. Lots of shades of grey, like a good period drama.

[ask-rung]

Ah, I see! If I chip in for the yarn, you think you can make it big enough for two? Nothing warms you up in the winter like a good cuddle session.

[the-scrappy-stinger]

A cybertronian girl who seems to be a human smiled at you.

"Happy Creation Day, Rung!" She said. She holds up a cake.

Celeste smiles at the mech with the brightest eyes.

Rung arched a brow.

"Creation Day? Why, it's nowhere near my creation Day, but thank you nonetheless."

[ask-rung]

“I can clean around here! I can be your assistant for free! I love cleaning!” She smiled brightly at Rung.

"While I appreciate the offer, I normally hire a grad student as an intern when I'm in need of an assistant. I suppose you could clean, but... Well, I'd hate to just have you here cleaning all day. That would be terribly dull for you."

"You're such a gentlemech! I love cleaning! It's not dull for me! I'd love to work for you Rung! You're just kind! It'll be my honor" She smiled.

[ask-rung]

He was a bit taken aback by how eager she was to clean for a mech shed never met before, but maintained his smile anyway.

"Well, if you insist."

"EEEEEEE RUNGY!" She hugged him and began to clean.

[ask-rung]

Rung let out a startled yelp when he was hugged suddenly.

"Ah, erm... Actually, just Rung, if you don't mind. I'm not terribly fond of nicknames."

[ask-rung]

A cybertronian girl who seems to be a human smiled at you.

"Happy Creation Day, Rung!" She said. She holds up a cake.

Celeste smiles at the mech with the brightest eyes.

Rung arched a brow.

"Creation Day? Why, it's nowhere near my creation Day, but thank you nonetheless."

She then looks puzzled and she laughs. “Oh silly me, it’s my creation day, I was unaware that the person who’s creation day it is receives the gifts not the other way around! Honest mistake!” She laughs. 

[ask-rung]

"Oh, I see. In that case, happy Creation Day to you, young lady."

[pleasantspark]

“Thank you sir! I am Celeste. the hybrid transformer! I’ve been around for at least as long as you appear! Do you want to join in the festivities?” She offered.

[ask-rung]

"Lovely to meet you, Celeste. My name is Rung. I'm afraid I'll have to skip out on the festivities, however. I'm still quite busy setting up my clinic."

[pleasantspark]

“May I help? I’d like to help out in any way! I know we just met, but uh... I’d like to help with your clinic. Your work is very interesting, what are you a doctor?” 

[ask-rung]

"Oh, that's quite alright. I'm a psychotherapist, you see, and all I really have left to do is organize all my old patient files. It's a lot, but they're quite confidential, so it's not something I can accept help with."

[ask-rung]

There's the sound of something rummaging through some storage containers. Soft but curious chirps and the occassional trill of concentration can be heard with the rummaging.

Arching an impressive eyebrow at the noise, Rung wandered over towards the storage boxes he'd yet to unpack for his new clinic, carefully peeking around them.

"Hello? Is someone there or is this one of Whirl's pranks that hadn't gone off until now?"

The rummaging stills and it goes absolutely silent. Two iridescent optics glow from the shadows and the frame it belongs two backs up as far as possible with a sudden squeak of surprise as the someone locks optics with Rung. There's a wide-eyed look of fear and uncertainty before they go still again, starting at him, hoping that Rung no longer sees it

[ask-rung]

Rung blinked down at the little bot that stared up at him in clear fear. He instantly gave them a warm smile, trying to appear as disarming as possible.

"Well, hello there! Do you need something? Are you perhaps hungry? I have plenty of resources to share if you need some."

Even in the shadows, the bot's frame was slight and sleek with a twitch of what appeared to be the damaged remains of wings hinting that this bot was a seeker. Their coloring was scratched and faded but was once a touch green with darker green trim and yellow-green highlights.

The bot's optics stayed wide but when Rung spoke, the helm tilted ever so slightly and they blinked. The lack of aggression or violence made them relax and start to inch ever so slightly closer while they issued a questioning trill in response.

Rung continued to smile at the little seeker, moving slowly to retrieve a small pack of energon snacks from one of his secret compartments and offering one to the shy little bot.

"Hey there, it's alright. Oh, what was that universal greeting again... Bah weep grahnah weep ninibong?"

[ask-rung]

Oh, I live on Luna-1 now. There must be a time difference because of that. I'm usually around a little earlier than this, but I've been busy trying to get my new clinic in order lately.

Luna-1? Like- okay, so my day is your night. That's cool! I'mma...

(curls up) I'mma sleep here and catch you in the morning... make you dinner...

*covers Bee in a blanket and dims the lights for him*

Really?! Why, that's fantastic news! Soon I may even need my other hand to count all the friends I have.
