KOSA will not ‘protect the children’. KOSA will never ‘protect the children’. KOSA will not stop kids from learning about queer people and women’s rights outside of the internet. Unlike what the conservatives want to believe, LGBTQIA+ people and woman’s rights exist outside of this place. Like, you know that people talking to each other has existed since the beginning of time, right? Censoring the internet does nothing but add absolutely unnecessary surveillance. The only way to stop people from learning these things is to censor our society completely, which I would like to think would be impossible, but I really wouldn’t put it past the government, especially if Trump gets back in office.
