Emergency help//need help buying groceries

I didn’t post about this before, because at this point in life… I just feel too overwhelmed, embarrassed, frustrated and trapped :(

A couple of weeks ago, my EBT//food snap account finally closed down. Every time I had to reapply, I need medical proof in order to obtain mental health disability from the work program, in order to keep my benefits. Unfortunately, my current doctor wasn’t able to write me a note for “unfit” for work and I couldn’t keep my benefits anymore. For those wondering, my doctor couldn’t write the note, because they need proof of depression… Which is a little bull; because I have been OFFICIALLY diagnosed years ago, but sadly, I lost the contact number for my old counselor, so I can’t even get in touch with them to help with the situation.

Having this EBT account since last year has been the ONLY way I could afford to buy groceries for my family and now, I can’t. So, I am making a gofundme to get help to buy groceries for my family, I barely make enough money from commissions to even help myself out, so there’s no way I can save up to even buy groceries for my family, and money is tight enough as it is in our home :(

I went and tried looking for my old counselor, and I found them on google, I’m going to call them tomorrow.. if they still have my old diagnosis for depression, I can fax it to my doctor and hopefully that will be enough to convince my doctor to help me get my food assistance back. Wish me luck :(

Tumblr belongs to Verizon now and wants to exploit Black Lives Matter to make more money for Yahoo

Verizon has completed its acquisition of Tumblr parent company Yahoo, and is preventing Tumblr from participating in the day to save Net Neutrality next month on July 12, 2017.  Tumblr can also no longer freely participate in political protest like it did before.

Furthermore, Yahoo senior VP and head of Media Brands and Products Simon Khalaf gave a speech at the all-hands meeting at Tumblr last month, where he stated that Black Lives Matter is among several communities that the company should focus on converting into Yahoo media consumers. One told The Verge, “Simon explicitly said that Black Lives Matter was an opportunity to [make] a ton of money.”

I often find myself wondering “Why do I still work on Papi?”  Yes I still love the characters, but the blog’s at maybe 1/3rd the followers that it used to have, participation and response is way down, and I never know what to update it with until I start because I’ve never had a full plan for what to do with the blog, especially now that things have changed in the series, which is a large part of why there have been so many retcons.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, Tumblrpon is a shadow of what it once was, and that was always something that I knew was going to happen.  I’m not sure what I’m going to do with Papi at the moment, but the drive to update it every week fades more every week, and I know that if I stop updating regularly then it’ll stop updating all together.
