Both of us have been a bit too busy to run this blog so it’s become pretty inactive. Sorry!
(scapolite (pre-orpiment) Scapolite lay adrift in what remained of her spaceship, unconscious and with hairline cracks spreading throughout her gem. Days passed until what was left of her ship sank along with Scapolite. As she fell she landed infront of a large opening in a rocky wall. (this was longer than expected)
Siam was swimming through the depths, looking for more sunken treasure along the sea floor. She used her tentacle to swish away some sand, picking up debris with curiously. “Wait...” Siam froze. The debris looked bizarre. It was not a boat or anything human. She tried to trace the debris when she spotted a figure lying against the rocky wall.
“Merry Christmas everyone! Hope everyone has a happy holiday season!”
“It’s okay, OJ” Black Star gave a small smile, picking up the rest of the cake. “Chocolate huh? My fav!” The tiny gem cheered in delight. “Thank you guys.. it really, means a lot to me.”
“No problem!” Ocean Jasper smiled. “Come on, gemlings. Time to go home.” The tiny gemlings all peeped sadly but followed their mother nonetheless. They all waved goodbye to Black Star and headed back to the beach shore.
“Um..” Black Star counted the gemlings “I think so.. I wonder where it is.”
“Oh, geez. Not again.” Siam mumbled with irritation. “See, OJ? This is why we shouldn’t go outside of the cave! One of our gemlings are-!”
“Ree?” The missing Gypsum gemling peeped from inside the wagon. She was covered in frosting and had ruined one side of the cake.
“Aw.. my cake..” Black Star frowned upon seeing the ruined portion of the cake. But she let out a sigh, that wasn’t the important thing. At least the gemling was safe, she knew.
“Gypsum!” Siam snapped. She plucked the gemling away from the cake and glared at her angrily. “You ruined Black Star’s cake! It’s not yours!” Siam scolded. The tiny gemling let out a guilty peep and seemed to shrink in Siam’s arms.
“It was all in innocent fun, Siam.” Ocean Jasper said, hoping she wouldn’t be too harsh on the little gemling. “Sorry about the cake, Black Star. We should probably go home and clean Gypsum up.” Ocean Jasper sighed. “You can have the rest of the cake, though.”
“Um..” Black Star counted the gemlings “I think so.. I wonder where it is.”
“Oh, geez. Not again.” Siam mumbled with irritation. “See, OJ? This is why we shouldn’t go outside of the cave! One of our gemlings are-!”

“So since today is my day of emerging slash birthday…” The smaller gem began, snickering playfully before adjusting her party hat.
“I want cake!” Black Star pounded her fists on the table, just as a joke.
“Ree?” A tiny Sodalite gemling scratched at Black Star’s door. She sat patiently waiting for the door to open while her siblings tugged at the wagon behind them which carried a tiny cake.
“This is a bad idea.” Siam rolled her eyes, uncomfortable that they were around humans and out of the safety of their cave.
“No it’s not.” Ocean Jasper insisted, letting the gemlings run around playfully looking and exploring.
“Hmmm?” Black Star heard a scratching noise at her door. Black Star got up from her seat and approached the door, opening it she was surprised at who was present.
“Oh! Aha um.. w-what are you guys doing here?” She asked Siam and Ocean Jasper, outside her cabin.
“What does it look like?” Siam grumbled. Ocean Jasper elbowed her rude mate. “Mrr!” The tiny Ocean Jasper gemlings jumped excitedly at Black Star’s feet, rather proud that they had pulled an entire cake to her door. They wanted to show off their accomplishments and tugged at her pant leg with their teeth.
“I don’t see any-” she felt some prods and pokes at her pant legs. Looking down and noticing it was the gemlings. “Awwwww!” Black Star cooed upon seeing the cake “you guys are too sweet” the tiny gem smiled, tears in her eyes.
"Mrr!" The small Ocean Jasper gemling boasted with pride and purred. "Wait." Siam silently counted the gemlings. "Are we missing one?"

It was the next morning. Well, it was hard to tell due to being in an underwater cave. Despite several hours passing, Black Star was still asleep.
Of course, even if Black Star didn’t know when morning was, the gemlings instinctively knew when it was morning. Sodalite was the first to wake. She stretched her tiny limbs and yawned quietly. It was quite cold so rather than getting out of bed, she burrowed deeper in the sheets.
A yawn escaped the monochrome gem’s mouth, wrapping an arm gently around the gemling.
The tiny Gypsum watched her sibling sleep soundly with her new friend. Her cheeks puffed up with jealousy. She wanted in! Gypsum silently crawled out of her mother’s hair and gently found a space beside her sibling and Black Star.
“Mmm..” Black Star’s arm slightly shifted when Gypsum crawled between herself and the other gemling.
Gypsum let out a surprised peep when Black Star moved. She was a bit surprised that Black Star was still awake. Gypsum yawned and settled down, quietly snoring beside her sibling.
Black Star was actually still asleep, just her body sometimes reacted to dreams she was having. The tiny gem letting out a yawn.
The two Ocean Jasper gemlings had been looking at the bunch from their mother’s mane and frowned, slightly upset that their siblings had left for a stranger. They yawned and chose to ignore their siblings’ actions and returned to sleep in the comfort of their mother’s hair.
Black Star yawned again in her sleep, cuddling the gemlings.
The Sodalite gem sneezed as the temperature dropped in the cave. She quickly cuddled closer to Black Star, pulling slightly on her sleeve as she slept.

The tiny Sodalite decided to ignore Black Star’s presence and gently situated herself beside the nest intruder.
“Nnnn..” Black Star shifted in her sleep, feeling something prod her. But she ignored it.. for now.
Sodalite purred, curling up against Black Star and sleeping away without a care in the world.
The gem felt something snuggle against her. Which caused her to purr blissfully as she continued to sleep.
Siam opened one of her eyes and looked at the two with a smirk. She knew Black Star would warm up to the tiny gemlings. She sighed happily and let herself sleep with content.
After several minutes, Black Star was able to get comfortable once more. Closing her eyes, she drifted off to sleep, unaware of the gemling who was awake.
The tiny Sodalite tilted her head curiously. ‘Why was there a stranger in their nest?’ She thought.
