Hi everyone! Long time no post. Thank you to everybody for your patience.

I'm happy to say that I've worked through enough of the backlog - and feel invigorated enough to post updates again - that I'm ready to take on more questions for the little prince. Even so, I've still got a lotta interesting inquiries to work through, so I'm not running low on material for future updates. I just love the ideas you guys pass my way.

The Morning Report - 2/10/2025

It is again not morning, but again I'd like to keep up with some meta messages because I feel bad about leaving those for too long. Sorry!

@sukalaap Ya know, this actually made me consider whether or not future cameos (which I still promise will be an infrequent thing) could be Africanized characters from other franchises. Now I'm imagining the 101 Dalmatians as a mass pack of African Wild Dogs.

Also, shoutout to Akril. I've been in love with her work for years. She's a veritable scholar of the TLK franchise, genuinely. Definitely a TLKFAA gallery I'd recommend rooting through.

@willtheraven1 Yes, I have some headcanons regarding Zira that place her within the same generation as Simba. Just feel like it makes her relationship to and obsession with Scar more complex/awful.

I don't think my next few posts will include her, but if you guys are curious about my cub design for her, I'd be willing to share some concept art.

I'd also just like to say that I've been developing an original project and am also in a bit of a funk right now, so I apologize for updates being slow. I've always got new ideas for this blog, I just gotta get my rear in gear and make them real.

Rules Update 2: Update's Pride

Ahoy everybody! Just wanted you all to know I've updated the rules page again. I know, I know, but I feel it was obligatory.

Refrain from sending the same question multiple times. Misclicks and browser lag can cause repeat submissions and are understandable flubs, but intentionally sending the same message repeatedly fills the inbox with spam, makes organization harder, and distracts from unique questions. I promise you that every single ask received is read and considered. Please be patient while waiting for new posts. This project is labor intensive and I'm only one guy.

Wording and minor specifics of other rules have been tweaked, but all other rules have remained the same.

Thanks for all the support and patience you've shown me so far. We just broke 100 followers! I'm beside myself with appreciation that others are excited about this project. See you again soon!

The Morning Report - 12/29/2024

Hey there! It is not morning so I am a filthy liar, but The Morning Report is what I've decided to call an occasional roundup and addressing of non-Simba directed questions this blog has received.

@zazuposting Thank you very much! All coding credit goes to @eeyes. The assets were all harvested from old partially archived Geocities sites. I'm old and associate TLK with the late 90s/early 2000s and I think a lotta fans in my generation do too, so this theme is a little something for us.

@ziraynthefox Here's some concept art for an upcoming doozy of a post, I hope it answers your question ;^]

@casperfan2003 You may, but I'd like everyone to keep in mind that cameos/crossovers will be a rarity, and also that I'd like to keep them sensical inuniverse. i.e. Bambi and Simba are not realistically ever going to meet.
