Hello Sky Family! This question is for Zelda and Link. I can't remember if this was already answered but what was your wedding like? was there a theme? What were you both wearing and who was there?

Hey Link, Zelda. I'm curious about something. What do you think would have happened in your relationship, if your adventure hadn't occurred? If that black tornado and everything else hadn't happened, what could have been the outcome for both of you?

Hmmm, for me... I think it would’ve taken me even longer to realize how I felt about Zelda. I was still pretty immature in that regard. A relationship was not in my mind at the time. I mostly just cared about graduating. (Though admittedly I was terrible at keeping up with my homework or exams.)

Before the tornado hit, I was already planning to tell Link how I felt about him. So at least that bit would’ve happened sooner than anticipated. What stopped me this time, was that I felt so guilty about everything he had to go through, and the fact he had to stay in the Surface with me, that revisiting that topic was something I hadn’t felt like doing, since I felt I had already asked too much of him. But Link was actually the one who breached it, surprisingly. 

I think, overall, we would’ve still ended up together. Wheter Zelda started it or I, the fact of the matter was that we were attracted to each other in varying degrees, but I feel we would’ve ended up together eventually.

Though, in all honesty I believe that if the whole tornado/adventure thing hadn’t happened, our relationship in Skyloft would’ve been rather... not... meaningless, but standard? Not sure that’s the word I’m looking for...

Yes, I think that’s as good a term as any.  I think this adventure, as pain-filled, and dangerous as it was, really served to deepen our relationship. It made it more meaningful, and we had this huge thing we shared in common. It was something far bigger than any of us...

So you could say it spices things up. Not just anyone has the chance to make out with a former goddess, you know~

Hey Sky Family, Just wondering, but do the various items gathered through Link's quest still come in useful? Have any been re-purposed into something useful? (though the beetle looks like a great toy for the kids) or do they just lay on a shelf somewhere?

Oh, I still use most, if not all of them!

The Water Dragon’s Scale and the Fireshield Earrings are essential. I always carry them with me.  I use the Mogma Mitts to dig up minerals and treasure to trade for resources with the Mogmas or other villagers. The clawshots are useful for many things. Their chain is made from a mythical metal that cannot break (they are a gift from Hylia, after all), so I use them to climb  or traverse difficult terrain, or use them as a system of rope-and-pulley, to lift simple things up (using my body as a counterweight). I use the Beetle to explore new areas for potential hazards or create new paths by blowing rocks up with the bombs. 

My bombs and arrows are also essential weaponry I stock up with often when I go to my excursions.  I use the whip to cross large gaps by clinging to thin surfaces the clawshot cannot latch on to. The whip is really useful on my recon missions….

Daphnes owns my slingshot. He also got my net since I don’t use it much.

Most of my more advanced shields are perched on my workshop, you know, like trophies, since I can make do with the Hylian Shield just fine and I don’t need the others. I did howerver, donate my wooden shields to the Academy for practice sessions. 

And uh… we use the Gust Bellows to dust the house…  (Or blow on the sails of my fishing ship if the wind is not favorable that day…)

Hey Daphnes, would you like to have ear piercings/earrings like your dad? :)

Of course! 

Students at the Academy usually get them early on, but it’s kind of a custom for your dad or father figure to pierce your ears... And I refused to have mine peirced by anyone other than dad, but now that he’s back, I’m getting them pierced soon!

If you could meet one of the three golden goddesses, who would you pick and why?

Probably Nayru, or Farore…  What they gave the world appeals so much to me. Life and mind… it’s the perfect combination.  I would probably chalk it up to the love Hylia had for the land of the gods and its people, but I have a large appreciation and admiration for life. I‘m constantly marveled by all the diversity in our world and how far our thoughts and ideas can take us.

Hmmmm, probably Farore. I really admire Din’s strength, but I think it would be really overwhelming if I were to meet her. I found the songs and realms of Nayru and Farore far more relaxing. Particularly Farore’s.  Even though I possess all three pieces of the Triforce, I feel the virtue that drove me the most in my journey was courage… so If I were to only be able to meet one Goddess, I’d like it to be Farore. I feel we’d be very in tune.

Do you ever look up at the sky and wonder from where the goddesses come? Do you wonder if there are other worlds beyond the skies and Skyloft?

I guess everyone wonders that at least once in their life. But the only thing I know (since Hylia and everyone else were created by them) is that they were born from chaos. There must exist balance in the world in order for it to function, so it’s my guess that they were eventually born from the chaos, to bring order and sense to existence.  It would be extremely big headed to assume we are alone in this world. I do believe there may be other worlds, or even other planes of existence, connected to ours.

Ha ha, perhaps, but no, they aren’t demigods.

I only held that status when I was Hylia. As Zelda, I’m your regular mortal woman, and my children are regular mortal kids.  Hylia gave up her divinity in the past, and with it, she also gave up her status as a minor deity. Although Hylia’s blood flows in my veins, and it is laden with more magic and power than your regular hylian, I’m still mortal, and Gods willing, I will die of old age like any other human. 

Aw bummer, I guess we don’t get to be gods.

It’s not all that bad! Between your father and I, you two inherited blood rich in magic power, which you could exploit if you wanted to.

Of course! And really powerful ones at that, if you wanted.

Haha, your mother is way better at it than I am. I can hold my own but I think you’d be better off asking her. She’s better at teaching it, too. I only know really simple spells, though if I’m to be honest I don’t use them often. I usually forget I can do magic at all since I went through a lot of my life without magic.

Wielding magic takes a lot of discipline, both in mind, and technique. You have to be mindful of the laws of nature as well, and you must exercise extreme focus. You will also have to consider that using magic feeds on your own life force, so you will have to use it sparingly and responsibly.

O-Oh…It sounds much more complicated than I thought… Is this what you teach at the Academy, Mom?

Sort of, I teach mostly basic, essential spells, but I could teach you more if you ever wanted to.

Hey Zelda do you know any of the other deities?

Well, I know Levias and the three dragons. They are kind of considered deities, though I would say hierarchy-wise they are more like demigods, like I was in a past life. If you mean our Golden Goddesses, I have not met them in this life, though I do recall Hylia convening with them from time to time, though not particularly much. They tended to keep to themselves, and would only communicate with Hylia true messages she could hear in her mind, but not really showing themselves, if that makes any sense. Demise himself was a kind of demigod as well, though his rule only applied to the demon kin.  He attained that status not by divine decree, but because he worked towards it. Kind of how Batreaux had Link help him work towards becoming a human by doing deeds of extreme kindness, Demise worked towards becoming the most powerful demon in his realm by acts of extreme darkness. Eventually, he grew so much in power you could have considered him a demigod.
