🌺👘An ask blog dedicated to the swamp demon / numa oni from KNY.

-Numa uses they/them pronouns

-Do forgive me as I forget a lot that they have the habit to grind their teeth.

-I have my own made up lore for this demon, so of course they won’t be 1-1 canonical. I do not believe the kimetsu gakuen’s depiction of them is canon, so they do not act in such a manner.

-Any ships are allowed, but they’re not the easiest to see as romantic considering how they act?

-Takes place in the assumption of everybody lives au so they’ve met Tanjiro but are not deceased.

-I have separate names for all three of them, though you do not need to use them, they’re more for tagging. (1 is Maichi, 2 is Nijio, 3 is Omi. Numa is for generally all of them.)

-Just for reference, 1 horned is the calm & collected one, 2 horned is more violent & “doglike” while the 3 horned one is silent & goes off instinct.

-Ask whatever, I’m alright with basically anything.

-Beware of the information I say, there’s not much on Numa so I make up a lot of stuff depending on how I feel about it.

-If I seem inactive, I’m most likely not just because the swamp demon is not exactly the most popular character.

-I’ll rather respond with text or art since theres not much content of them.

why’s your hair long

Well, long hair is a common hairstyle, it’s not unusual to see anyone walking around with long hair cascading down their shoulders. Though, if you mean us specifically then I guess I like how many styles you can do & the accessories you can put on. —Maichi (1)

Hmmmmmm what's your favorite parts you like to eat in human's body?

For me, the center of the face. Personally, I hate to see such a thing rot or even in contrast, stay pretty. I’d much rather eat the face so nobody has to judge what their face looked like. —Maichi (1)

Omi (3) likes the teeth… perhaps the straightness in most sets of teeth bothers them.

What do you guys usually do during day time?

Well, we can’t go out in the daylight for some obvious reasons so the average situation consists of having the swamp dimension in some kind of place that hides us from the sun with curtains drawn and staying inside the swamp. In the swamp we’ll either reorganise hair pins to fit, play a game or try some hairstyles. —Maichi (1)

Omi (3) does not participate in their activities, either laying in the corner, stretching their jaw or sleeping.

STINKY 🫵

I quite like the smell of my swamp on us. We take baths anyways and we’re demons, so it’s not like it’s unhygienic. Standing a few feet away from us should make it bearable. —Maichi (1)

yo what’s your favourite hairpin you stole?

Well, of course there’s plenty I like so I would say it’s a hard choice. But, my favourite is the black straight pin with a purple orb on it in my first row of hairpins, it shines quite well under the moonlight. —Maichi (1)
