(@ask-the-fogbound-serpent) “Hey hey hey, sorry for the spook!” Janus called. They swam out from between the tree trunks towards the Umbreon. Their body glowed bright in the dimness of the night, undaunted by the shadows around them. “Was just checking this place out, didn't mean to wander into someone's home. If this is your home? I really shouldn't assume, you could just be wandering this forest for fun.” 

“Say, where is here? I kinda just kinda let the portal guide me to some random place. Seems pretty neat. Not as nice as my forest of course, but still nice.”

To be honest, Mune heavily disliked how more pokemons started to get in her way. What's with them suddenly became interested with whatever she's doing. She's trying her very best to get used to it.

"You're new here, aren't you? Pretty bold of you to call this place neat, or fun..."

"You wouldn't find much difference from any other forest if you came after dawn, but I couldn't tell if other forests became hell as well after dusk. It sucks to be here."

The umbreon looked around, not wanting to let go off her guard. The glow of the other pokemon became one of her concerns too. How distracting. Even Mune knows to stay dim in these haunting nights. She's aware that being noticably bright might bring unwanted attention, like some cases before.

"Ugh! Could you keep your damn light down? You don't want to become an easy meal here."

“Well, sorry to break it to ya, but while I can control the heat of my flame, I can’t really control the brightness. Though, I wouldn't worry about me becoming anyone's meal,” they said, amusement clear in their voice. “I am made of fire after all. ‘Sides, this forest doesn't seem so bad. Though, I should probably head out if you’re so worried about being found, because of my light n’ all.”

“Though, if you don’t mind answering, is there an actual reason why this place is considered damned? Or is that just the superstition of folk who don’t know better?” they asked, genuine and without judgment. “I happen to deal with souls on a daily basis, or at least my boss does. Maybe I could lend a hand if you need it?”

Walter: Backrooms'd into another realm, face into the ground, like every other day, at least this one has a familiar face. "Ughhh- oh hey, it's you. This your place? Who else lives in here?"

Vourison paused the moment he sensed the portal form, tilting his head where the new opening was. He was concerned for a moment, worried about who (or what) would pass through, before he saw a familiar green snake fall out.

Raising an eyebrow, he leaned towards where Walter lay, saying "Well, if I was ever to meet you again, this is certainly not how I'd expect it to have gone. Yes, this is my home, though how you've arrived here is quite confusing. Hm, it seems I may need to have another chat with Janus and their little pranks..."

"As for your question, there are plenty who live here beside me. This is a place of healing, and those I rescue, dead or alive, are given options in how to proceed. While many choose to leave, there is a non-insignificant number of people who decide to stay here instead, and live out their lives in this realm I've created."

"There are many settlements littered within the woods, and since there's nothing dangerous lurking in the fog you're free to roam as you wish. I'm certain those who live here would give you a warm welcome. Just be sure to stay on the path, it's quite easy for those unaccustomed to get lost."

(@ask-the-fogbound-serpent) Vourison eyed the Arceus warily, sensing the strange hostility towards dragon types. While he himself wasn't one, he was well aware that Rayquaza were one of the more, ah… iconic dragon types, to put it mildly. Hopefully this Arceus wasn't too temperamental, and would recognize him as something different.

He carefully approached, head bobbing slightly in a respectful nod, “Greetings. It’s not often I have the chance to speak with an Arceus. I was wondering, are you the creator of this realm? And, if so, what realm is this? The lack of a planet makes identifying it a tad more difficult.” 

[Series' reaction towards Vourison was tempered with the presence of the younger Arceus, only slightly dismissive.]

I found myself here and with the tasks that I now tend to. This is a universal nursery, everything takes shape from here. After that, the creations find their place-stars and beasts alike.

(@ask-the-fogbound-serpent) ‘Not again’ was Vourison’s first thought when he spotted the pair, already mentally checking out for the day. He’d already dealt with one shitty version of this damn Absol, now there was another one? Who was a Hoopa??? Why are they multiplying-

Vourison sorta. Ignored Destino. He wasn’t exactly in the mood to deal with them, instead turning towards the Yveltal. Much smaller than his sister, but despite the obvious youth (relatively speaking) Felix seemed to have a good head on his shoulders. 

“It seems your… friend is fond of causing unprompted chaos, and has little care for the lives they’re supposed to be watching over.” Vourison said, “Considering the strife and Unbound Hoopa could cause, you’ve made the right choice in keeping that bottle hidden… Apologies for the sudden intrusion as well, the appearance of a Hoopa ring concerned me, so I took it upon myself to investigate. Clearly this was little more than a ploy to waste all of our time.”

Felix: Incredibly strong, they were. It took a lot to bottle up all that power of theirs. The only thing I have ta deal with now is their mischief. It ain’t that bad the majority of the time but they do like ta push their limits.

*Before Walter could receive a response from the large Yveltal, a sudden strong psychic energy took hold of him. With a quick motion, the serperior ended up on what looked like a chopping board. That’s when Walter saw Destino’s stupid face looking down at him with a blue knife in their hand. As the knife came down, there was the expectation of some sort of pain as it cut through his long body. Nope. Nothing. Seems like some hoopa magic was involved with this.*

Felix: Destino, leave that mortal alone. He doesn’t deserve that.

Destino: I’ve barely even gotten to preparing him and you’re asking me to stop? Wow! I was going to make you something nice to make up for my “horrendous actions” and you’re refusing my kindness.

*Felix turned back to Vourison, clear exasperation in his voice.*

Felix: This is the shit I have ta deal with. Constant. I know they’re my responsibility but I wish they didn’t keep pushin’. They were never like this before their powers awakened and they became their unbound form. Des, if ya don’t stop, I’ll make it another 100 years before ya can get ya powers back.

Destino: You’re no fun.

*With a click of their fingers and a huff, the segments melded back together and Walter was placed on the ground. Felix flew on over to the serperior.*

Felix: Sorry ‘bout that. Ya ain’t hurt, are ya?

Destino: Do you not see that he’s fine? You worry too much. I know mortals are fragile but they’re not that bad.

"Were it me I simply would have beat some sense into the offending legendary, however I suppose you knowing who they were before changes things."

"Power reveals, and it is a true shame that some choose to abuse their gifts, instead of using them to ensure the future safety and prosperity of their realm. Perhaps this change is reversible. Perhaps not. But either way I wish you the best in dealing with them."

Vourison slithered over to Walter, carefully looking him over for any after effects of what Destino had done. After a moment, he turned back to Felix with a small nod, "I happen to know this pokemon, so I'll ensure he returns home safely. I hope that in the future your friend learns to become more... tolerable."

(@ask-the-fogbound-serpent) Vourison squinted as he stuck his head through the portal, eyes adjusting to the light of this realm. After his most recent… encounter, he’d become concerned and decided to take the chance and check up on the Absol. The Absol who was, apparently, not an Absol?... An illusion? Whatever, it didn't really matter. He just needed to make sure that they weren't mad and debauched, and from what he could see, he was right. Destino was fine, though it still didn't answer what he’d seen, who he’d spoken to. So many questions left unanswered…

For now, he focused on the present. Tilting his head towards Destino, he rumbled, “Hello again. I do hope you’ve been giving my advice some thought. In any case, this seems like a nice little food stand. Uh, not really sure what else to say honestly. Have you tried any of the food yet? I’m sure there are some dishes unique to this place you could give a try.” He’d really only come to ensure Destino was (relatively) mentally stable, so he was a bit awkward as he spoke, trying to bring up topics that may be relevant. Whether he was succeeding or not was to be seen.

Champ: W-what is-

Viridis: Serperior.

Champ: A serperior? But it's-

Viridis: Yes, huge. Have you never seen giant Pokémon before? Like, there are huge Pokémon here. Get over yourself. Perhaps try looking in a forest or something.

Champ: But I've been to almost every major forest in Naaturo and I've never seen a serperior that b-big.

Viridis: Listen, I don't think you should be judging the giant serperior right now. Perhaps just accept it and move on, alright?

Champ: R-right.

Viridis: This Serperior has a good point though. Food. I feel I could go for something. Give me the best you can offer.

Hope: Champ. I will pay for this but I feel Viridis here would really enjoy the Inferno Overdrive curry.

Champ: Are you sure? It's on our secret menu for a reason.

Hope: I am certain. Do it. I will give you extra.

Champ: If you say so.

Viridis: I don't even get to decide? Wow. Rude.

Hope: You said you wanted food and I come here often enough to know what's best.

Viridis: ...

*Champ knew exactly what the princess was doing. It was the spiciest meal he had ever made and had to be put onto a secret menu because of that. A single spoonful for those who couldn't handle spice was sure to burn them to a crisp. Still, he got to work, retrieving the deep red container with the very bold warning label from his ingredient's shelf. The pepper that he took out always had such a distinct shape to it.

Champ added four of these chopped up peppers to the mix he had going and let all the flavours combine together. He wasn't going to taste it but he knew he had made something taste bud damaging. It almost radiated a nuclear red energy. He placed the curry in a bowl along with some rice and brought it out to the leafeon. He saw an oh-so-smug smile had crept across Hope's face.*

Champ: One Inferno Overdrive curry. It's quite hot so be careful.

*Viridis took a single look at the curry. The smell of spice hit their nose immediately. It smelt really good but, judging by Hope's reaction, they weren’t too sure if they should eat this.*

Hope: This may be your only opportunity to try something that I often get. Unless you're a coward, that is. It's ok, I know that not everyone can handle a challenge like this.

Viridis: A challenge you say?

Hope: Maybe. Not like you'd be able to pass it however. I'm always able to eat this easily but I understand if you're too weak.

*Viridis confidently grabbed one of the wooden spoons that had been placed out for them. They weren't going to let Hope win that easily.*

Viridis: Hopey, you've got to understand that any challenge you give me is going to end up with me winning. I just so happen to be the best at everything.

Felix: I don't know about this.

Viridis: Buddy, relax. Whatever Hope throws at me is going to be a mild inconvenience at best. I'm sure this'll be fine.

*Placing the spoon into the bowl of food, they grabbed a generous portion and lifted it to their mouth. If they were an absol at this moment, their horn would be vibrating like crazy. Too bad leafeons don't have the disaster sense.

When Viridis felt the food hit their tongue, the spice immediately began its work, coating the inside of their mouth. It started off as a simple tingle, which made Viridis feel that this wasn't such a big deal. When the spice continued to grow however, things took a turn for the worst. Sweating. Pain. The need for something to drink. And that's when the most intense part hit them.*

*Hope fell off their chair in a fit of laughter. The way they confidently shoved the huge portion of curry into their mouth and the almost instant reaction to the spice made her day. She was never going to let Destino live this down.*

Vourison, immediately after watching Destino implode eating the curry:

"One to go, it's for a friend who loves spicy food. Uh, I'll pay you, but I'm not sure what currency you use exactly. Do you take gold?"

Vourison squinted at the light of the brightening sky, the sun barely peeking over the horizon. Other guests had started leaving as the event winded down, and they were also taking it as their cue to leave.

Turning towards the rest of his family, they had already started splitting into two groups, chatting as they put away their gifts and divided some of the remaining items they'd gathered on the island.

"I shall be returning to mine dear village, as you well know." Maksviah said, carefully picking up a tired Loraifon and placing him on her back. While the tiny Arceus was trying to stay awake, it was clearly a losing battle as his head periodically bobbed up and down. "By now Dawn and Dusk have most certainly reached Oneiros, travelling through portals and sky alike."

She tilted her head towards Voxgatum, asking "Will you be returning with me, or do you still wish to join Vourison within the Hallowed Woods?"

"The second option." Vox said, shooting Vourison a grin that, while still playful, was a bit more genuine then before, "I want to hang around for a bit longer before heading out."

"You just want to use the Obsidian Gate, don't you." Vourison grumbled with a glare, Tempora and Iter clambering onto his back.

Vox's grin grew wider "Maybe."

"Then now is the time we depart." Maksviah smiled at them gently, "It has been most lovely spending time with you all, and I would be most delighted should it ever be decided we gather again. Remember, the village will always welcome you with open arms."

The group has all left the Magi event.

Wo tilted his head a little at the sight of Vourison before making his way over.

Wo: "I think we have met before, at a previous event. How have you been since then?"

He looked a little unsure as he spoke again.

Wo: "I can recall portions of our last meeting, but I don't quite remember if we did any introductions.."

At the question, Vourison kinda. Tilted his head and squinted at Wo, confused and a little tired after the nights events. It took him a moment before he finally remembered, "Ah, from the sleepover, yes. No, I do not believe we introduced each other. It's a bit of a late start, but I suppose late is better then never." He was a bit awkward, but he gave Wo a slight nod in greeting, "Hello, my name is Vorusion. I hope you've been enjoying this event."

"Wow, so you actually spoke with people at the sleepover?" Voxgatum chimed in with a grin, smile only growing larger at Vourison's glare, "Hey now, you can't blame me for being surprised, you big ol grump. Anyway, hi, I'm Voxgatum, pleasure to meet you!" he aimed that last part at Wo.

Wo returned the slight nod alongside his own introduction.

Wo: "It is nice to meet you, Vourison. I am Wo-Chien, or simply 'Wo'. This event has been quite enjoyable for me and my family. I hope it was the same for you and yours."

He noticed the second face that appeared. After listening to what was said, he spoke again.

Wo: "And it is just as nice to meet you too, Voxgatum. Just like before, I am Wo-Chien. This event has been quite fun for us all, hasn't it? Meeting new faces, alongside reconnecting with those that are familiar, is what makes coming to these events all worthwhile~"

(@ask-dawnanddusk) Carefully, slowly, Maksviah approached Raiden. She spoke gently but clearly, or as gentle as one of her stature could be. “Greetings, fierce and young lord of storms. I do hope you have been enjoying your time on this kind isle. This night is most lovely, and it would be a shame to waste away in worry.”

“For another reason I have approached you. I have noticed the mention of stars and other such things from you, and was most curious. As clearly seen, I am linked with stars and space in a unique way, and was wondering what thoughts you hold on the subject. I am also willing to share mine own perspective on these wonders, should you wish to hear them. Speaking of stars is always a delight, especially to another who is fond of them as I am.”

Beneath his bangs, Raiden peered up, lost for words at the lofty being dwarfing his person. “I-.” He stammered. He inhaled deeply. Her gentle tone encouraged him to relax, if only a tad. She hadn’t meant any harm, speaking to him calmly, “The formalities aren’t necessary. I haven’t earned the title you call me. That belongs to my father,” he said, wistful. “I don’t think I can waste the night away sulking.” 

Truthful, he was enjoying himself. The earlier tension he felt initially was gone. Speaking with Luxu and a few others had assuage his worries. A sighting of his sister singing her heart out brought a slight smile. “This night is faring very well. You remind much of Mo’o. Like a moth-” The word died in his throat, his expression becoming that of bitter resentment. 

He shook his head, hoping to free himself from such thoughts. All she asked was an innocent question. Making note of the sparkling glint on her feathers, he decided to say, “I used the stars often when I was smaller to help steer my sister and I to safer waters. As Lugia, we try to stay under the radar as some humans are not completely receptive to our natures and beings in general. But my… fascination for it has gotten further for a different reason entirely.”

He looked towards the stars, his eyes lost even. “I don't know how much of this is real or not, it's hard to put a lot of stock into legends but… I am a being of legendary stature so I guess some of it is true,” he laughed shortly. “I keep my eyes peeled towards the stars to make sure my father doesn't appear as a cluster. They say when a being of great status passes away, they would become a constellation to join the others. I'm still searching for him. I hope he does not go to the heavens before I get to see him again and make peace.

He faces her straight on, undeterred but there was a desperate hope in his eyes, a hope this legend is wrong, that his father was still out there. “Is there a legend like that? You don't have to lie to me if there is. I just… want to be prepared for the reality to come should I see him in the Heavens.”

“I am most pleased to hear your time has been pleasant and kind. All deserve time for calm and rest, and I am glad to hear that has been accomplished by your visit.” She noted, but decided not to comment on the cut off sentence. It was clearly a sore spot for the young Lugia, and bringing it up would do her no favors except to ruin the kind night she had just mentioned.

Instead, she mulled over the words after, spoken with hope and fear and not a little hint of desperation. Now, she couldn't be sure of how it functioned within his own realm, but she could tell him what she'd observed over her long life. She only hoped she could tell him in a manner that would not worry him further or exacerbate his fears.

Speaking in that same gentle tone, she lowered her head to the ground a bit more, her chin feathers tickling the sand as she spoke. “Whilst I have not visited your realm and thus am uncertain whether such legends hold true for you, there are cases where the likeness of the deceased are molded into the stars. There are different variants of this; in some occasions noble souls are reborn as celestial beasts and given a new and great role to play, whilst in others certain stars are simply brightened in the view of a certain planet, so that great legends are not forgotten.”

She tried to soften her tone as much as she could, and it was now she cursed her fierce outward features and stoic face, not for the first time. Could she offer the comfort he so desperately needed? She had to try. “I hear the fear in your voice, little one, and I understand it well. Truly, it is a terrible and great feeling all will face one day, the loss of those you hold dear. However, I also see that you are kind and strong, and your Will holds True. I am certain that your father is proud of you, wherever he is, as are all good parents are. And one day, perhaps a day very soon, you may be reunited with him, for I can see that your love for your family burns ever bright within your heart.”

Carefully, she offered him one of her feathers, dark and glowing with stardust at the tip. A token of kindness from her to him. “Hold that love close, and never will you stray.”

(( @asktheisle )) Nat seemed to be in better spirits as he spotted the familiar Arceus, smiling. "Well hey there kiddo, staying out of trouble?"

"NAT!" Loraifon shouted, loud and thrilled. He bonked his little head against Nat in greeting, wiggling in excitement, "Hello hello hello! I've been real good, SUPER good, I promise! Me and my family have been having a really great time, but that's not a surprise because this island's great! I haven't been to many islands, but this one is my favourite forever!"

"Ooo, I almost forgot to ask, how has your night been? I bet you've been having loads of fun too!"

(@ask-dawnanddusk) Teeny-tiny hooves clacked on the ground as Loraifon approached the goomy, enthusiastic and unapologetically loud. “Hello mister!!! Your glasses are really shiny and nice! I saw them when you were talking with my mom. Oh, wait, I have a question! I wanna know, how do you make yourself all sparkly? Like, extra-extra sparkly, not like me. I’m starry, not sparkly! But you're so sparkly and it kinda goes ‘poof!’ around you like a cloud. It’s very pretty!”

*When Slime Boi first saw the little Arceus trot along to him, his breath caught in his throat. The excitement. The child-like wonder. It was rather surprising really. It was so familiar. He tried to keep his cool.*

Slime Boi: Oh hey. I, erm, am a shiny Pokémon. Or, I suppose that's what others would consider me as. The sparkles are just a natural part of being shiny. That's the vibe. Gotta have that twinkly feeling, you know? Happens when I appear. It's, erm...well...

*He just couldn't keep that chill vibe that he had. It wasn't possible. As his smile turned to that of a sadder variety, he couldn't help but look away.*

Slime Boi: Someone who used to be so full of joy when he was young. You really do act similar to who he was. Sorry. Could I just shoot a little advice your way?

*It was true. This young Arceus was exactly like how his brother was like as a child. So young and excitable. Wanting to find out everything. Wanting to know all about him. It was overwhelming. He thought he'd be over his brother. It had been billions of years at this point since he was a child. But there was always that tiny piece of him that wanted things to go back to how they were before he allowed Aladar to have his own world. Before disaster struck that drove a rift between the both of them. No, he wasn't his brother anymore. He made that choice when the younger Arceus destroyed everything he loved. His eyes made contact with the green Arceus in front of him.*

Slime Boi: Please, don't ever lose your sense of child-like wonder and excitement. Please. And if you need help with anything, please just ask someone. Don't just feel that you can do everything yourself, ok kid? You've got some wonderful caretakers. Just let them help you if you need it...

*Damn, what was he doing? Giving unsolicited advice to a child? Really bums out the mood. Ruins the vibes. Slime Boi shook his head. He had to get this conversation back on track.*

Slime Boi: Sorry bud. Sometimes someone reminds you of someone and it just makes you feel different vibes. You said about your stars. They're absolutely radical. Like, were you born with them? Hmm, actually a lot of Arceus just pop into existence. Did you come from an egg?

“But it’s ok to feel sad, and talking helps a lot! My mom always helps me no matter what, like when I get stuck in snow that's too deep, or eat too many berries and get a tummy ache. I hope you have friends who help you when you feel sad, like my family does. But you’re so nice and cool, so I know you’ve got a bunch of them!”

At the change in subject, Loraifon perked up, “Oh, my stars! I’ve always had them, and they’re super pretty, like my mom’s. I get them from her! A bit ago mom explained it to me, but I don't remember everything. She used a lot of big words even if she tried not to. Um, I think she said I was kinda made opposite how other Arceus are made? I did come from an egg, but only after a bunch of other stuff happened. A lotta energy gathered and made me inside my mom. She called me a gift from the universe, but I think that’s kinda silly. You can't give someone to another person!”

*When the little arceus put his head on his own, Slime Boi couldn't help but feel the smallest tears forming in his eyes. He wiped them away with a single arm and smiled at Loraifon.*

Slime Boi: You're right about the friends thing. Let's just say I have about 12 universes worth of friends ready to back me up.

*It was true. He did have a vast array of Pokémon he considered his friends and family. He would never be alone in the wide scope of the multiverse. They would always be there to help him. Just like that time he was possessed by that necrozma. Everyone pulled together to free him from her shackles. It definitely cheered him up a little to consider the support he had.*

Slime Boi: Fascinating. Absolutely radical vibes there. Must be really something to be born from an egg huh? To actually be a child. Not something I've ever...well, all I'll say is that you're a pretty cool arceus. And do you know what all cool arceus need?

*Slime Boi clicked his fingers, a pair of sparkly sunglasses similar to his own appearing in his other hand.*

Slime: For you little man. As a little something for listening to me ramble. Hope I didn't completely bum your vibe out.

The tiny arceus is thrilled at the gift! Definitely a highlight of his night. Prepare for a lot of loud 'look at what I got!' from Loraifon as he shows it to everyone he knows 1000 times.

He was a bit awkward, but he gave Wo a slight nod in greeting, "Hello, my name is Vorusion. I hope you've been enjoying this event."

"Wow, so you actually spoke with people at the sleepover?" Voxgatum chimed in with a grin, smile only growing larger at Vourison's glare, "Hey now, you can't blame me for being surprised, you big ol grump. Anyway, hi, I'm Voxgatum, pleasure to meet you!" he aimed that last part at Wo.

(@ask-aeos-company) Indigo approaches Vourison. He waves with a smile.

"I hope...umm...you have a great day there."

While he's talking, he starts to draw. He drew Tempora and Iter. He puts a question mark.

"Are they...uhh...children?" Despite being answered there, he is still curious if they're Vourison's children.

Afterwards, he wrote on sand "What are y'all up to? There's so many things here."

He said: "Hard...to think what...umm...to do first..."

"Ah. Hello." Vourison greeted with a slight nod. At the question, he paused, wincing slightly before turning towards Tempora and Iter. The two had returned from the food table and were sharing some snacks with Loraifon (who somehow had acquired a pair of fancy and familiar looking shades).

"Those two are not my children, though it is an easy mistake to make. I am their primary caretaker, and I watch over them with the help of my village. Frankly, I would not make a good parent, and I only feel confident raising them because of the help I have."

Turning back and examining the other questions, Vourison let out a hum of though, "Yes, there is plenty to do here. I'm not too big a fan of crowded areas, so I've mostly stuck to the edge of the party with the rest of my family. The ocean here is quite lovely, though the kids have been more open to exploring and chatting with others. Tempora is particularly fond of the snack table."

"What about yourself?" Vourison asked, "Anything specific you've enjoyed about this night?"
