A Meeting in Blood
ask-us-jacks:
Rainbow quickly let of Isaac, letting out an embarrassed giggle. āS-Sorry! I forget how much stronger we are then humans.ā The smaller clown looked away and pressed his fingers together. His gaze drifted over to the fluffier haired Grossman before he walked over to them and picked him up easily before offering them to Isaac. āU-Um. Here. You should take your friend. Monochrome and I need to return to our boxā¦ā
Rainbow was cut off by Mono snorting and waving off the others suggestion. āI donāt want too. I want to gut this bastard first! He fucking deserves it after what he did to me!ā If there was ever any doubt that Mono was still upset about being trapped for thirteen years then that would very quickly clear the air as he snapped the nose of off Wills mask and tossed the pieces to the side. āJust let me do it Rainbow, one more punishment aināt going to be too bad. I bet theyād go easy if they knew why we went an did it.ā
āBut Monochrome, this isnāt your Isaac itāā
āYes the bastard is! You donāt think I wouldnāt recognizeĀ him! I aināt a fucking idiot like you!ā
Rainbow recoiled slightly at the words before glaring at the other, his own agitation showing. It would appear Mono frequently tried to hurt him using words, so at this point he could brush them off like they were nothing.
āStill! Youāve already killed him havenāt you. No reason for you to do it again.ā
Mono snorted and flipped the colorful version of himself off. He was aggrivated now and turned his attention back to Isaac. He reached out and placed the tip of his claw under Isaacās chin, pressing up against the flesh but not cutting it. Silver eyes stared into blue and after a moment he growled and pulled his hand away and crossed his arms with a huff. He didnāt want to deal with the punishment either.
āFine whatever Rainbow you win. I wonāt kill Isaac this time. Maybe the next time we see him Iāll slit his throat and paint you with it you wimp.ā He words were harsh and bit out as he turned to face away from them. And without much more of a notice he vanished once more.
Rainbow simply sighed and shook his head, offering an awkward smile. āI am sorryā¦For everythingā¦ā
With a frown, Isaac took his fainted apprentice with only a bit of difficulty since the other was pretty light and looked down at him with a sigh. However, he instantly flinched at the outburst from Mono and turned to look over at him, narrowing his eyes at him in annoyance as the clown snapped Willās mask. Great, he would have to carve another one when they got home. Perfect way to spend the night since he doubted he would be able to get a wink of sleep.
When he saw the monochrome clown reaching towards him, the older Grossman backed up a little and ended up bumping into Rainbow which allowed Mono to press his claw against his flesh. Standing as still as he could, he glared in defiance up at his old childhood friend until the clown eventually pulled away. Once he heard Rainbow speak up again, he turned around to face him while readjusting his grip on Will.
āItās... uh... I guess itās fine?ā
A Meeting in Blood
ask-us-jacks:
Mono didnāt care that there were two people, both with the mask. He would kill them both, Grossmans were pathetic, cowardly, worthless, pieces of trash. Heād rid this planet of both of them and anyone else who shared their last name. He watched the two of them run for just a few moments, knowing that the two of them were fleeing for their lives. A low twisted giggle came from his mouth as he walked after them.
āAĢ“lĶĢølĢ¢ ŅĶaŗoĢøuĶĶnĢødĢØĶ ĢØĢØŅtĶŅhĶŅeĢĶ Ķ¢Ģ”mŅu̵͢lb̧͔Ķe̶rĢØrĶyĢĢ¢ b̧ĶusĶhĢ“ ̷̶tĶ Ģ”Ķ hĶeĶĢ mĶĶoĶ¢nkeŅyĶĶ ĢĶcĢ“ĢĶhĶa̸̶sĢøĶĢ¢eĢ·d Ģ“Ģ̵tĢ”ĢhĢ¢ĶeĶ Ģ”wĶĶĶȩ̧aĶ¢sĶel~̧ā His voice was distorted, sounding more like when someone would crank his box then how he normally sounded. As he sang the small tune he picked up his pace, giggling a little more, which gradually turned into loud laughter. A part of him was excited, he would be able to play with his old best friend again~. Plus whoever this replacement seemed to be.
āTĶĢhĶeĶ ĶMoĶnĶĶĢ“kĶĶe̔̔ĶyĢ ĶĶtĢøhĶĶĢ·oĶu̵gĶhĶĢ·ĶtĢØĢĢ ĶtĶĶĢ'̸̨̢wĶĢøaĢĢ“sĢĶ Ķ ĢøaĢØl̵lĶĶ iĢ·n gĶĶ¢ĶoĶoĶĢĶdĶ Ģ“fuĢĶĢn̶ tĢØiļl̵ā¦ā Mono paused his strides letting the duo get further and further away from him, waiting until he was sure Isaac would feel like maybe he had given up chase, or maybe the other knew better. Either way once he was finished toying with the other mind in a puff of smoke and confetti the clown vanished, only to show up in front of to two Grossmans
āPĢĶĶ¢ĢOĢ̵PĢ!ĶĢØĶ Ķ Ģµ ĢĶGĶoĶeĶ̶ĶsĢ“Ģ”Ģ¢Ģ Ķ̵͢t̸͢͢h̵ŅĶeĢØĶĶ Ģ¶ĢĶwĢeĶĶ̔̓aĶ ĢØĶĶĶsĶe͔̔ĶlĶĶĢĶ¢Ķ~Ķ Ģ¶Ķ̵!̶ĶĶĶŅā The distortion in his voice got worse, but the words he spoke were completely understandable. At least to anyone who already knew the lullaby the clown found himself overly attached too. His grin was wide, wider then anything a human could pull off as he loomed over the two humans. He reached up slowly to pull the mask off of Willsā face so he could look at who it was with his old friend.
However, but any real gore and violence could start, a soft popping sound came from behind the two men. āMonochrome! You know our rules! Only people associated with the family can be hurtā¦I donāt want to get punished again for your mess ups.ā The voice was lighter, gentler, a voice from long in Isaacās past. If either party turned to look at who showed up behind them, theyād simply see another Jack, only this one was bright and colorful.
When they noticed who it was Mono was tormenting, their eyes lit up and a huge grin formed on their face. āIsaac! I never thought Iād se-ā¦.W-Wellā¦You arenāt my Isaac are youā¦.Wellā¦Itās nice to see an Isaac~ How are you? What are you doing out here so late? Ohā¦I hope that wasnāt your family! Or friendsā¦ā The range of emotions the clown sped through speaking to the older Grossman was a little mind boggling, but none the less he walked over without any sort of hesitation and wrapped his arms around Isaac in a tight hug.
Mono wasnāt even sure how to react to Rainbow showing up, though in hindsight he should have expected it. The colorful bastard was a stickler for following the rules they had placed on them after the Isaac incident.
Isaac was booking it at this point. He was not about to die by the hands of that damned clown again. As he continued to run, he looked over his shoulder to see how Will was doing with keeping up with him. Fortunately, he wasnāt stumbling too much. Looking past the younger Grossman, he noticed that the clown had stopped his chase. Oh, but he definitely knew better than to assume that.
Just as he was about to turn his head back around, the clown disappeared before his eyes and the two ended up running into Mono when he reappeared. Stumbling back a bit, the two Grossmans froze and stared up at the monochrome clown infront of them, knowing there was no point in running the other direction.
Isaac glared up at the other through his mask as he slowly reached for his knife on his belt. That horrible grin... he had hoped he would only see it again in his memories, but of course he wasnāt that lucky. Noticing that the clownās attention was pointed towards his apprentice, Isaac slowly turned his head to see that he was slowly pulling Willās mask up who was staring up at Mono with terrified eyes. Without hesitating, he pushed Will back and away from Monoās reach before sort of pushing the other behind him and holding his knife towards the clown.
āStay back!-ā
His threat broke off when he heard the second voice behind him and, despite his better judgement, he slowly looked over his shoulder and stared at the colorful clown who had basically saved them. The older Grossman simply stood there in shocked silence at the fact that there were two Laughing Jacks standing on either side of him. Meanwhile, Will was taking this... not quite as well if it wasnāt apparent by him now suddenly fainting.
Before Isaac could check on his apprentice, he was pulled into a tight, somewhat uncomfortable hug.
āC-Canāt- b-breathe-...!ā
A Meeting in Blood
ask-us-jacks:
Mono let out a loud laugh when he heard the scream, he couldnāt help but stop to consider how pathetic the person was. However when he saw the mask, even briefly as the boy back up his laughter faded into a low aggressive growl.
āIiiiiisaaaaaac. What are you doing back from the dead~? I thought I killed you dead and filled you with roaches.ā He called out, stepping out from the window. His playful tone completely gone and words laced with venom, making it completely clear when he reached the two of them there wouldnāt be time to explain.
Being brought back from his thoughts due to hearing that all too familiar voice call his name, Isaacās face paled even more than it usually was. While the older Grossman began to panic again, Will stared at him in understanding now. Thatās why Isaac wanted to leave so badly. This was the guy that killed him before he was granted residence in the Under realm.
All of a sudden, Isaac grabbed Willās wrist in a vice grip before darting out from behind the bush and making a run for it while dragging the other along with him. While he was acting out of fright, there really wasnāt any other option available.
Now, to the clown, there were two people with the same familiar mask.
A Meeting in Blood
ask-us-jacks:
For as sneaky as Isaac had tried to be, the clown heard the bushes move and noticed the shadow trying to slink away unnoticed. His gaze lingered on the window before he picked up the bloody arm and walked over to the window, smashing the glass without much effort. āCome out, come out wherever, and whoever, you are~. Donāt you want to play with the world greatest clown~?ā He cooād out, his gaze scanning the scenery in front of him before lingering on the shrubbery the two hid behind.
The only reason he knew thatās where they were was because he could just see the top of someones messy hair. Tossing the limb up and down in his arm the Clown gave it a toss very likely hitting whoever was out there square with the bloody limb, which was still leaking ever so slightly. āYou are a terrible hider~ Why donāt you come out and we could play together~ā Mono stated, leaning outside the window. Heād know if theyād try to run away because heād either see them drop and their hair vanish or theyād be an idiot and stand up and try to run.
Either way he didnāt intend to let them stay long for this world. He hated having his games interrupted by noisy third parties who needed to just stay way. āOf course, if you donāt want to come to me, Iāll always come to youā¦ā He added on after just a few moments of silence, not really long enough to let whoever was out there answer him. It wouldnāt be to hard to guess that whatever the clown had planned wasnāt nice in the slightest.
If the active murder of an entire family didnāt make that clear enough.
At the moment, Will was questioning Isaac as to what was going on and why he seemed so panicked. Now that he thought about it, he had never seen the other this frightened before. He was about to speak up again when they both tensed up at the eerie voice coming from the house.Ā While Isaac was visibly shuddering, the younger Grossman ended up getting smacked in the head by the flying limb, blood splattering across his mask and shoulder before the arm fell to the grass infront of him.Ā
Stunned silence fell between the two before Will ended up letting out a pathetic, high-pitched shriek and scrambled away from the limb while Isaac seemed to only freeze up for... other reasons. Fortunately, he seemed to snap out of it and lurch forward to pull Will fully behind the shrub again.Ā
Now, they were lacking a few options since the older Grossman knew who they were dealing with. Running was out of the question. The clown could easily catch up to them in a matter of seconds. Fighting him was definitely a no, but they couldnāt just stay here either. They were sitting ducks like this! What to do...
A Meeting in Blood
Mono loved the twisted children. They always made requests he was more then happy to fulfill. Like requesting one of the bullies at school be made to stop, in any way as long they stopped getting hurt. Mono had quickly taken the opportunity to gut one child so he could get access to gutting a second and their parents.
He couldnāt even try to express his glee as he watched Rainbow look to the side and vanish into their shared box as he went to go sit on the small boys bed, waking them up with his blood stained claws. He explained in the most sickly sweet of voices how their rules worked, and how he couldnāt be a good friend if he was asking them to murder people. He savored the look of fear growing on the childs face as he offered a large shark toothed grin, letting their new, and almost dead, best friend know that soon they wouldnāt be alive much longer. But first, Mono wanted to play a game with the whole family.
So before the boy could start screaming and crying, Mono slapped some duck tape over their mouth and picked them up, ignoring the squirming and kicking before tying them to a chair and carrying them off into their parents bedroom. And he made this poor young child watch as he tore his parents from limb to limb, pretty much bathing the small one in their blood. He pulled out their organs and showed them to the child, explaining what each one did and how they worked.
Once both parents were void of ribs, heart, stomach, and other such organs the killer clown stared at the empty bodies before looking to the small child. He offered a twisted grin before untying the kid and picking them up to try and stuff them inside of the cavity, getting a little huffy when it didnāt work. He watched the blood covered boy before getting a wonderful idea. He let the boy take off the duck tape that was on their mouth and listened to them beg for their lives, let them scream and cry all they wanted.
Afterwards he reached over, grasped their left wrist and right shoulder before ripping off one of their arms. He listened to the screams of pain as he tossed the arm into the mothers empty body and repeated the process with the right arm. The childs screaming didnāt last very long as his limbs were removed and seperated into his parents bodies. Of course, Mono wasnāt going to assume they had a favorite when it came to their parents so everything was equally dispersed until there was nothing left.
How was he supposed to ever of guessed he might have someone watching him as he worked.
@ask-the-grossmans
It was just another outing for the two Grossmans as they made their way to the Overworld to stake out a house and test Will on what he remembered. Maybe he would actually kill someone this time instead of wussing out at the last second. Crouching near some shrubs outside of the country home, Isaac was going over details and quizzing Will on different things before they attempted to sneak into the home.
āIt seems you have everything remembered, but thatās only the easy part of this whole thing, Will. Tonight, I want you to actually murder them instead of tossing it on me. Youāve done this too many times and frankly Iām getting sick of it.āĀ
The older of the two grumbled as he sent an annoyed glare at the younger Grossman who was nervously twiddling his thumbs and occasionally adjusting his mask on his face.Ā
āAlright, alright that sounds great, absolutely wonderful! But listen, I really donāt think I can tonight. You see I-ā
Before he could finish, Isaac reached out and grabbed him by the front of his hoodie before yanking him forward, causing Will to let out a startled yelp.
āOooh no. You are not doing this again. You better listen to me, brat, and listen good. Youāre going to go in that house and youāre going to put that textbook knowledge to use tonight or so help me-ā
This time it was Isaac who was cut of, but it was only due to the sudden shrieks from inside. What in the world was going on in there? Was someone else going for their target? Oh, they better not be! With a snarl, Isaac let go of Will and crept towards the house. He was just about ready to go inside when he suddenly saw the silhouette of their littleĀ āproblemā in one of the windows. Did... did he see that right? No, it couldnāt be who he thought it was. Slipping over to the window, he peeked inside and just about had a heart attack.Ā Quickly, he scrambled back over to the shrub.
āWill, we have to leave. Now.ā
Isaac:Ā āUgh, Iāve had a horrid headache ever since I woke up this morning.. Maybe I should call Will and see if he can pick up something on his way home.ā
The Dream
He woke up. Looking around his room, Isaac could feel the sweat chilling on his back as he stared out the window next to his bed. It was only natural to be disoriented by a dream that felt like an entire lifetime. All of the times he seemed to die, that Laughing Jack that he was so close to, and apparently having a hybrid son? Sighing, he tried to shrug it off and sat up before moving his legs to hang off the edge of the bed and burying his face into his rough, scarred hands. It was just a dream, he could easily deal with this... so why was it so difficult? The blond let out a low grumble and got up before leaving his room, not really bothering to get dressed and simply stayed in his briefs and tank top, and went downstairs to get a cup of tea and some toast to start off the day. Will was probably already to class by now seeing that he unsurprisingly slept past noon due to his dream. He would have to tell him about it when he got home.
Update
Grossmun: (āSooo... Iām still alive, but itās gonna take a few more days to restart. Got busy and distracted with other things and when I finally turned around to get this blog up and going again I got hit with a nasty flu.ā)
Update
Grossmun: (āThe Muse page has been updated! They both have reference pictures now as well as new descriptions for the restart!ā)
So I was wondering something. Since you're planning to reset the events of your blog, will that mean that Mono will still be Isaac's LJ, or are you planning to find a different LJ?
Grossmun: (āIām sure Iām going to have to find a different LJ for him. Ask-us-jacks isnāt as active as it used to be and I donāt want to drag them along for the sake of the blog storyline.ā)
Iāve Decided
Grossmun: (āThe way Iām going to reset the blog is basically just going back to only having Isaac and Will living together. I may have the previous occurrences be a wild dream Isaac had just so I can keep the content on the blog.Ā
However, this also means that itās time to say goodbye to Eclipse.
Iāve thought a lot about where he would fit in if I was to reset everything and with his design (since I donāt want to change it) I just didnāt know a good excuse. With drawing memes and maybe some events, Iāll bring him and Kalib (that one demon that possessed Isaac a while back) back around, but thatās about it.
Iāll be making the changes later today (possibly. It depends.) aswell as a few design updates.ā)

Isaac:Ā āO-Oh...ā
Update
(Grossmun:Ā āJust speaking up to say Iām still around! Though, I may be taking time to think over events for the blog.ā)
Will:Ā āSo, after dealing with a drunken Isaac for most of the winter, specifically between Christmas Eve and New Years, weāre able to take questions again. Not sure if Isaac will be answering very many since heās still in a bit of a sour mood.ā
( Grossmun: āArt answers will be held off until tomorrow due to it being late. Though, Iām still answering stuff for a bit!ā )
'Oh my goodness he's risen from the dead how are you old friend?' She writes in the askbox
Isaac:Ā āAt the moment? Iām cold. This sweater isnāt doing much for me and Iām sure as hell not going to stay outside long enough to chop some firewood. Iām kind of stuck shivering until Will or Eclipse gets home.ā
