Charlie and the Duck Job
Richard, Charlie and Marty were staking out an oil refinery for resources they could steal and use for their own business. “I get it that we need more fuel.” Marty said looking at Charlie before turning to Richard “But is it a good idea that we bring him along to such a flammable place?”. Charlie was finishing his beer bottle before playing with matches and Richard just sighed “You never know if we need to cover our tracks. And what better way than just burning the place down?” Richard said going back to his watch.
“Hey guys! That duck is looking at me funny!” Charlie shouted looking at a seemingless duck walking around. “Yeah, yeah, Charlie do whatever you want.” Richard said not paying attention “Guys! Time to move!” Richard said and him and Marty headed out while Charlie stayed behind staring at the duck. “You little… Fight me!” Charlie said charging at the duck. The duck just flies away while Charlie throws every explosive device he has in order to hit the duck but he has the tossing range and knowledge of a rock. Every explosive in blown mid air or while returning back at him putting the refinery security on high alert.
Richard and Marty were just finishing securing the supplies when they hear the explosions. “What the-” Richard said before he was interrupted by loud sirens and emergency lights being activated. “I knew this was a bad idea!” Marty shouted “What do we do boss?!”. “Wait! We can use this in our favor. Marty, grab the truck and drive away as fast as you can. I have an idea for a distraction.” Richard said before flying away to where Charlie was throwing sticks of dynamite. “Charlie! What the hell are you doing?!” Richard shouted. “I’m going after that duck!” Charlie shouted back lighting another stick. Ricard looked up and there was nothing there. The duck must have flown away for some time now.
“Wait Charlie! I saw the duck gathering with his friends over there by the gas tanks! They were saying your beer tastes like shit!” Richard shouted and Charlie let out a battle cry before charging to the tanks with the rest of his explosives. Richard portaled himself away before the mushroom cloud took over the entire refinery. He went to the meeting point and met with Marty and the truck filled with supplies. “Another job done. Another shitstorm by us.” Marty said and chuckled. Richard chuckled back “Told you we could still use him for this job.” He said before getting in the truck. “So how are we getting him back again?” Marty asked knowing that Richard wouldn’t leave one behind. “He’ll find a way back home. For now just drive. We made too much noise here.” Richard said as they drove away. Days later the news reported the refinery destruction and the “Walking Ball of Flames” wandering around and setting local villages on fire.
