Hi there, I'm WavemasterRyx, your average, humble pegasus who can see the future (sometimes...). It's a pleasure to meet you! I love helping others, so please ask some questions if you wish, and I'll see if the waves can't find you an answer. Or if you happen to have a question for one of my friends I can see to it that they receive it!

Hard to believe it's really been 12 years since i first drew Wavey... i don't know why, but i felt it was worth trying to draw something to "celebrate" for her...

Ah... almost... very briefly... considered trying to resurrect this tumblr as a something like "Wavey's Smash-or-Pass" that was kind of just an excuse to have fun doing tiny, bad doodle redraws of official character art...

... but i've been reminded /constantly/ since i first started considering it that no one cares about my opinions and that i'm not allowed to like anything...

So if you agree it would have been a terrible idea, be sure to leave your thanks to everyone who contributed to it not happening...

Ah, hi anyone...  i was bored last week, so i had a little “game” on my old-main account to see if anyone wanted to see some of the drawings i’ve done since leaving tumblr...

Official Farewell

Hello, everyone.  By now i'm sure you're all quite familiar with what's going on with tumblr... so i'll keep it short... ish.  i can't condone the blatant, unjust censorship of artists who aren't actually hurting anyone.

So... i will still probably check once a day or so; for the people who are trying to keep what they have on this site alive (i can't blame them for that), and in case someone needs to contact me here... but it is extremely unlikely i'll be making any more posts.

Thank you to the 320+ wonderful people who followed here, since my awful first attempts at bringing my bad oc to life.  A lot of things have changed since i started, but Wavey is still precious to me, and i hope you all keep fond memories of her as well.  Take care out there, and keep your heads high as you go into the uncertain future.

First drawing of the new year!  Or at least first one that i actually finished, heh.  A tiny Wavey to be at the top of a little calendar i’m going to be using to chart progress towards my goals for 2018.

i think anemones make a great symbolic flower for Wavey, even if she’s actually named after a flower already, it’s a much less straightforward symbol.  Though i don’t know why i thought it would be a good idea to decorate the top of the calendar in such a way…

Happy silly American holiday to you all.

Really it’s important to be thankful for what you have all the time, and not just on one specific day… but i still wanted to say i’m grateful for all of you who support me.  Thank you for putting up with me and all my inactivity, babbling (there will be more soon), bad sketches, ideas, and just generally not being a good person.

i don’t know why any of you are still here, but i appreciate it.  Here’s hoping things get better some day…

Happy 6th birthday, Wavey.

Sorry it’s really not a good picture... but i just wanted to do something at least for her, and nothing was turning out right on SAI...

i’d actually been considering trying this Paint crayon tool for a different project with her, but that hadn’t turned out well at all when i did the preliminary test for it.  Probably because it’s such an undefined style that makes it even harder to tell what’s going on than my sketches usually are...  So apologies in advance to anyone who might have been interested in it...

i’d say everyone who can should have some ramen to celebrate with us, but it’s probably well past dinner time for most people.
