"ah.. it's you again." Francis mumbled. If he can make out, his last conversation with this doppel in particular didn't really end with a note. "Mmm.. I'm.. doing well. I suppose." He sighed, looking away for a second, then right back at the creature. "I've unfortunately gotten used to the shenanigans. How.. about uh.. you? Last I saw, you were messing with Steven. Of was that not you?"

It was, yes. I... spent some time in the countryside. since then. *It shrugs.*

You humans are more adaptable than I thought. How did you not get fed up? Aren't they inappropriate with you?

"... They are. Sometimes it is too much. But I've realized they will come back no matter how much I push them. So I've kind of started trying to accept them. Besides.. if I'm honest, the attention does feel nice... To an extent. I'd say my confidence has improved ever since I started interacting with them."

You are social animals indeed. *This comes out as a mutter.* I don't understand. Why would you get more confident after people say stupid things to you? Did you... get better at some skill?

*it sighs, visibly sad. Francis was a great possibly, both in getting money safer, and seeing humans doing interesting things. It didn't even get any of the milk out of the ordeal.*

Wait, you sell milk. Can I buy one of them? *It's already looking around in its pockets.*

"mm.. well, for one thing.. they compliment on my looks a lot. Which is surprising because I don't really take care of myself." Hence the eye bags and the messy hair under the hat. "Which makes me think that I'm handsome without even trying to be. And that makes me feel more confident. As uncomfortable as the flirting is in some situations.. some people have good intentions."

He cleared his throat, realizing he's smiling like an idiot. "mm.. anyways. of course." He backs up into the back of his truck, not keeping his eyes off of the doppel. He can never turn his back to any of them no matter how friendly. Fishing out a liter of milk in a glass bottle, he walks towards them again, extending it. "Here. On the house."
