How are things?
Oh! Well, things are doing well, all things considered! Apolloâs feeling better, Hermes and him are bothering each other.
Nothing much is happening, really.

How are things?

Still ok if we ask you questions?
i somehow actually never saw this yeah sure go for it
Hey how was the whole Tarquin Tombs thing? I heard Apollo nearly became part of the undead - that true?
(Mun: TTT is still very much undecided in the route of this story, I am making this up as i go)
Yeah
But it wasnât as close as it could have been, truly. He did want to go galivant around doing heroics or whatever while near his deathbed, which, I clearly did not allow.
He was attempting to convince Meg he was okay. Which sure, was really sweet of him, but anyone with eyes could clearly tell he was about the furthest thing from alright.
Me and Apollo played rock paper scissors over who we would summon. Mercury or Minerva. He won.
Mercury was nice to chat too, though. He threw a sandwich at me for revenge or something. I would have kicked his ass if Apollo wasnât you know, practically dead on his feet. He fixed Apolloâs zombie-ness and my vocal cords.
Mercâs a sweet dumbass kid. When he isnât being and unbearable and stupid. Which is almost always. But little brothers will always be little brothers.
Be them your twin or your little brother by over a century.
Anyways, yeah. Apollo almost died. But you know? It wouldnât have been a permanent death regardless. I could have stolen his soul and brought him back to life in that situation. So while i was panicked it wasnât anything like when Medea was flaying his essence that would have been a permanent entirely irreversible thing.
Regardless, yes, that did happen.
âŠVocal cords? What happened?
And Mercury? Cool. Did he stay and chat for any length of time or was it only for two minutes just to assess that you both were ok, before he left for Olympus? Â
Ah. Well. When Medea was flaying by brother alive, I spoke in Divine. And well, mortal bodies arnt capable of speaking Divine. Or gazing at Divine script. Or comprehending Divine. Mortal bodies arnt capable of Divine in general.
But I spoke in Divine to my dying brother.
And absolutely destroyed my vocal cords.
It wasn't that much of a loss. As Apollo and i both know sign language. But Meg doesnt. So Apollo had to be translator.
He stayed about a half hour i'd stay? 20 minutes? He healed some campers. Basically he told us he'd give some hand-wavey excuse about him being a Psychopomp and souls he would have to take to the underworld to buy him more time.
He checked up on his kids, saved Bacchus's kids life, and gave us a quick run down of Olympian drama outside of us. Mars had apparently handcuffed himself to his throne a day before, but Vulcan likely had something to do with it.
Minvera had been shady, and the most interesting thing that had happened was something about Venus doing something I can't recall.
He offered to put Thalia in the stars for me, and I started crying at this point.
So basically, yes. He stayed a bit. Hugged both of us and then he was gone.
It was nice seeing him, truly.

Hello Artemis! how's drama in Olympus?
Hmm, nothing major recently. Midsummer was something. Not a good something or a bad something. But something.
Hades and Father got in an arm wrestling contest that lasted several hours before Poseidon got impatient, because he wanted to wrestle the stronger one and then there was much fighting.
Hermes tried to do a backflip off of Olympus yesterday but he was very drunk and I'll let you guess the outcome.
Does Apollo like any type of flowers? Or does he avoid the obvious ones that cause him heartbreak?
His thoughts on flowers are, I quote: "Who doesn't like flowers? Flowers are pretty?"
And I mean I don't know if he avoids the trauma related ones? I mean this is the guy who invented laurel wreaths and wore them for like a hundred years so I wouldn't think so?
How's Apollo doing?
Oh! Its been quite the while since anyone asked me anything.
Well, Apolloâs doing well Iâd say. I finally roped him into actually seeing a therapist, so that is an achievement.
Heâs doing well.
A therapist? Wow. Interesting.Â
Well, part of convincing him to go was a lot of begging and part blackmail. Not serious blackmail that would defeat the point.
He's mortal - a clear sighted mortal who I figured could probably handle his issues.
Does Apollo take you and your mom out for any picnics?
Yes? We have of course. Ma loves going on picnics with us. It's nice.
Does Apollo have a flower field full of forget me not flowers and does he invite you and your mom to have a picnic with him in said flower field?
This is oddly specific
Does Apollo try to drag you away to hang out with him? Where has he taken you to before?
Yes. Sometimes. He takes me any number of places, cities, museums, once he took me to a poetry reading contest. Any number of places really.
Have you ever seen a kelpie when you would go to Scotland, if youâve been to Scotland before?
No, not that I can recall
I've heard of them but I don't exactly have a reason to intrude in Scottish water deities land most of the time.
I hope that Apolloâs doing fine with his therapist.
He is! I think. Probably. He hasn't said anything if it hasn't been going well and I can usually tell when he's lying so I have reason to belive it's going well.
Could you really have killed the Ophiotauros if you had found him?
Oh, certainly. Many of the things I kill are âcuteâ
It doesnât make them any less dangerous.
Keeping that thing alive is a danger to us all and incredibly irresponsible.
Honestly if I ever get the chance to slay it I most certainly will.
It is not worth risking all of our lives to keep a single being alive.
No matter the consequence it is a danger, and I will not regret it.
Could you really have killed the Ophiotauros if you had found him?
Oh, certainly. Many of the things I kill are "cute"
It doesn't make them any less dangerous.

What's your favorite mythological creature?
Yales, obviously.
How's Apollo doing?

He's doing well.
Do you think that Kayla is a good daughter and sibling to Will and Austin and how she would beat up anyone who is mean to you and apollo? And have you ever met any of Apolloâs other boyfriends( other than Hyacinthus obviously) or girlfriends?
I mean? I guess? But I think you have a misconception on how often I am around my brothers children.
I'm not often anywhere near them. Yes, Kayla is a good daughter. And during out hellish jaunt as mortals she would have likely defended us, but we were far from helpless.
And she doesnt exactly need to defend us now? I can incinerate monsters with a flick of my hand, and I wouldn't want her anywhere near any serious foes, just like my girls arnt allowed to accompany me on the extremely dangerous quests. (Though, Apollo insists he is with if I am hunting alone now.)
I mean, Daphne worshipped me so her. And I've met Commodus. I don't really want that much of an interest in my brothers love life? I mean, if he's serious for someone of course I'll be meeting them, if only to make them promise they won't intentionally hurt him or i'll rip out their organs and hang them from my moon, but he isn't often in serious relationships these days. Most deities have settled down themselves, and with a lack of immortal suitors, and mortals widespread disbelief in us, I guess I would assume it would be hard to find a candidate? I don't know. Why would I know these things?
I mean, yes, I sometimes meet his significant others, randomly needing him for something urgant, but appearing next to them and dragging him away isn't exactly a proper meeting? He's mostly one night stands and half serious flings these days.
