Wendyl: Hello, everyone! Long time, no see!

Weird question, but how was the first tine using the boys' bathroom?

Wendyl: Hey guys! Sorry, Camera’s been broken for a while and I’ve been trying to fix it. Sorry for the Haitus!

Wendyl: In terms of bathrooms, I’m still really nervous to use the men’s bathrooms! I’m not on hormones yet, so obviously when I talk I still typically get read as female. 

Wendyl: Usually, I go to the women’s bathroom in general public areas where I don’t know anyone. I just feel like it’s safer for me right now. But when I’m at school, I use the men’s stalls! They’re... well, gross. When I start using the men’s room everywhere, I think I’ll miss the comfort of a decently well-kept public bathroom.

Hey wendyl there is nothing wrong with being trans only saying this because i'm not a backwards idiot but i heard some people who are trans wants to go back being the gender they were born as but i also heard that type of surgery can sometimes cost to much damage to them so they can't go back so are you afraid that you may feel like going back to being a girl & that the surgery cost to much damage for you to go back

Wendyl: De-transitioning is a phenomenon in the transgender community that happens mostly on occasion. While it’s true that a small percentage of transgender people might decide to reverse their treatments either temporarily or permanently, it’s usually not because they’ve decided that they’re suddenly “not trans” anymore. It’s a very complicated thing that incorporates things like mental health and social stigmas. 

Wendyl: Before starting a medical transition, a transgender person usually has a few consultations to go through first. There, they’re told about all the permanent and reversible changes that occur medically. The important thing for any transgender individual is informed consent. 

Wendyl: While there is a small possibility that I’d want to go off hormones in the future, I wouldn’t ever “want to go back to being a girl”, as you phrased it. I’m not a girl, and I never was one. Hormones or not, I’m a boy.

Wendyl: Here’s a good video by a transgender YouTuber who went off his hormones for a short period of his life that might give you some insight into what de-transitioning might mean for certain people.

Wendyl: Music? Oh, my music taste isn’t really too interesting. I mostly listen to whatever’s on the pop station. 

Wendyl: However, when I was dating Stan, he introduced me to a few more niche musicians. Lots of alternative Brit-rock and classic rock. Arctic Monkeys, AC/DC, the Eagles, Elliot Smith, Ben E. King... 

Wendyl: In fact, he made me a mix-tape of my favorites for Valentine’s last year. He even put Asleep by the Smiths on it twice, like Charlie in Perks of Being a Wallflower, because he knew I liked the book so much.

Wendyl: He bought me a Walkman for it and everything.

Wendyl: ...

Wendyl: So... yeah. That’s my music taste, I guess...

do you have any label for your sexuality right now or are you still figuring that out?

Wendyl: The latter, as of right now. 

Wendyl: I know that I’ve been predominantly attracted to men in my life... not that I’ve had much of a diverse experience, with Stan being my only longstanding relationship past elementary school.

Wendyl: I’ve only had one crush on a girl thus far- but she’s my best friend, so I suppose it’s probably because of that reason, and not because of her gender.

That sucks that he didn't take it well, Wends. I'm sure he'll come around soon. But onto happier subjects, how do you feel about his friends? (Kenny, Cartman and Kyle.)

Wendyl: We live in a pretty small town, so I suppose the best all-encompassing word for Stan’s friends is... unavoidable. 

Wendyl: Kyle’s alright- he’s Heidi Turner’s boyfriend, so we hang out sometimes. He’s been competing with me for valedictorian since freshman year. What with the whole progressive movement in our town, we started honoring a male and female valedictorian. Which meant we were pretty chill for a while.

Wendyl: But now that the school recognizes me as a male rather than a female, the old rivalry is kind of back on.

Wendyl: Kenny’s great! I’m the first person he came out to as being genderfluid- so I ended up giving him all my old feminine clothes after I transitioned. 

Wendyl: Once you get past all the constant raunchy jokes, he’s actually quite spiritually in-touch. 

Wendyl: And Cartman...

Wendyl: Well, I suppose some things just never change.

Are you still in school? Or are u in college?

Wendyl: I’m still a senior enrolled in High School! I take more college courses than high school ones, though- so I suppose I’m technically both?

Wendyl: I’m actually headed off to one of our basketball games. I’m the cheer captain! Go Cows!

I'm sorry for you. I hope you and Stan can work things out soon. Stan needs to just accept that your his boyfriend

Wendyl: Stan sent me a text asking why I was talking about him on my blog. I don’t know why he cares. I didn’t say anything bad about him.

Wendyl: I am a little curious as to how he found out about my blog, though…

Wendyl: He didn’t take the whole, “my girlfriend is now my boyfriend” concept very well.

Who are your best friends? Are you still close with the same people from elementary school?

Wendyl: Sure I am! Bebe Stevens is still my best friend, actually. 

Wendyl: I also hang out with Heidi and Red. By default, I guess that also makes me friends with their boyfriends, so I suppose I’m also cool with Kyle Broflovski and Kevin Stoley.

Wendyl: Heidi, Bebe, and I go to the library for study-dates every week! It’s kind of our thing.

Wendyl: I’m also on pretty good terms with Tweek Tweak. We have the same Psyche class together, so we always pair up for partner work.

Wendyl: Uh, hello there, internet! I’m Wendyl. You might know me from one of the seven Colorado Weekly essays I’ve had published. I’m 18 years old, I use he/him pronouns, and I live in a little town in Colorado called South Park. 

Wendyl: Anyways, I’ve been wanting to share my experiences on the internet for a little while now, so I figured I could start up a blog. I was thinking that it might be a good way to put myself out there.
