What is your salary a year?
I make about $32,000 yearly for my work. As a manager, I get paid a salary, and a few extra green benefits. I also spend about 10 hours of my non-work time every week helping out patients at the community center to improve our public image. It’s pretty hard to argue dispensaries are harmful to the community when we spend so much time being involved!
Hello. I have schizo affective disorder. Which is Anxiety, Depression, and schizophrenia all in one. the doctors give me a combination of pills to treat this illness. but im against prescription pills because they have harmful long term effects and many nasty side effects. Would medical marijuana help my case? Thank you.
The medical literature on the power of cannabis and cannabinoids is exploding right now, and cannabinoids are being found to ease, cure, and mitigate many ailments from physical to mental. While I’m not a doctor, I am aware of several studies that point to the power of CBD’s in the treatment of anxiety disorders. I would check out an organization our there called MAPS, as well as the Marijuana Policy Project (MPP) for more information on such studies, as well as other organizations studying the effects of cannabis on schizoaffective disorders.

actually Febreeze makes weed smell stronger and worse, i know this because me and friends smoked all the weed and when they left the cops came but before they came i sprayed the house with febreeze and it smelled stronger and they thought i had weed on me when i didn't because we smoked it all.
There's 2 parts to controlling odor -- limit the odor coming from your smoking device, and maximize the airflow around you to disspate the smell. Febreeze does OK for limited, simple things like taking pet stank away from a pillow, but may not do so well.
I've used a spray in the past, called Ozone or Ozona (? not sure) that I found at my auto service shop that does miracles. it's sold in a small, 3-4 oz can, and it kills every imaginable odor for hours.
Also, stank depends on what kind of fabric smells. Blankets, Sweaters and Quilts are the WORST, because they tend to absorb scents. Obvi -- a rain slicker won't smell like anything.
If you're super worried about scent, plan ahead and don't smoke indoors. Or try an edible instead. Or a stoney soft drink. Or a medicated chewable.
What are the side effects of smoking marijuana and how do I treat them, if they can be treated?
Munchies. These are the most common side-effects. Also dizziness, euphoria, an uncontrollable urge to watch cartoons, laziness, and a general feeling of well-being.
You can treat these symptoms by... having a small but healthy snack, going for a jog, exercising, watching TV with friends, and limiting the amount of THC you ingest, if you think you can't handle these side effect. They'll linger for about 1-2 hours.
No need for treatment, just smoke less weed.
Could a budtender smoke while working in CA?
It's up to the dispensary. If the dispensary cares about good customer service, it's unlikely they'll allow their budtenders to blaze up during rush hours in the shop. In California, there are anti-smoking laws that specifically prohibit smoking indoors, and many dispensaries have complied.
A favorite stoner snack of mine during shifts has been medicated caramel popcorn. I nibble a few popcorns throughout the day and maintain my lifted sativa feel, while also not being ridiculously stoned.
I just found a bag of Marijuana in an old moving box. Is it still good after 25 years? More potent or less?
You should toss it. What makes weed awesome are VOC's -- volatile organic compounds. Over time these diminish, as does the THC content. You should have smoked that bowl 25 years ago.

I'm 18 I just graduated from high and moved out to LA and I'm living in an apartment with a few roommates I found on craigslist. I have my medical marijuana card ( Manic Depression, Insomnia, Eating Disorder ) and I want to start budtending classes so I can get certified. My rent is about 750 and Does Budtending pay well enough for me to support myself entirely, and how much do you get paid?
You can support yourself if you can find full-time work. However, in LA, lots of budtenders work a 2nd job BARtending, waiting tables, or in the entertainment business. The cost of living in LA is really quite high in many ways, so as long as you are responsible and budget well, you can make enough money to live on. Budtending is a great job, but usually only managers at the dispensary work full-time. In the meantime, once you find a budtending job, deliver good customer service, be responsible, don't smoke too much on the job, and enjoy yourself!
What degree or major you need to become a Budtender?
I would suggest not going to college for 4 years for this job. Usually in order to GET the job, owners of shop are relying on decidedly non-academic credentials. Having said that, it helps to get certified through Oaksterdam or other similar certificate programs.

Great question! It depends. Does the person passing you the joint have, or has recently had, an outbreak of herpes or a cold sore on their lips?
There's 2 ways to handle it -- You can insist on getting greens on that joint (the uninfected smoke first!), or you can insist on "persies" (two small single-serve-style joints).
While the likelihood of contracting oral herpes from a joint is extremely low, people with underdeveloped or weak immune systems may be more susceptible. Bringing your own stash and rolling papers are the best way to stay safe.

The term "Budtender" can refer to many things. For most, it means someone who works at the counter of a dispensary or collective working with customers as they make their medicine selections. For this job, you need common sense, excellent social skills, and a good head on your shoulders. You also need to know a lot about cannabis, strains, and preparations from flower to wax. It also helps to be both female and attractive. Being responsible, having a good personality and being trustworthy are the three top things needed to be a successful Budtender with many tipping customers.
A Grower is someone who grows medical cannabis. If you are interested in becoming a grower, you may want to check out Oaksterdam University in Oakland, CA or take classes at your local community college. The best way to learn growing technique, to be honest, is to try it yourself at home. Start with any plant, like a tomato plant. Start from seed or cuttings and learn as much as you can online. The point here is not to grow seriously amazing tomatoes (although I'm sure you can!), but to see that you can complete this grow from start to finish with good technique and a regular schedule for yourself. If you want a career as a grower, particularly in a competitive marketplace, you need to be sure you can hang in there for the long haul. If you know a grower, they can be an excellent resource.
