Anna Hansen was a little bit like a kid hopped on sugar and left to ramble on about their second favorite sea creature to just about anyone that would listen, but ooh, can she have a sassy streak from time to time. However, that’s neither here nor there! After finishing off her degree in business management, and spending a majority of her life enjoying sweets, she and her younger sister decided to start on a new venture in life. A rather fortunate one that centers around two of their favorite things: ice cream and candy. Moving into what she could only describe as a dream of an apartment in Hyperion Heights and commuting just outside of the neighborhood for work, Anna can be found these days somewhere between the two, her sister’s apartment, the fire station she volunteers at, or one of the local ‘watering holes’ trying to enjoy life as much as she can.

describe your ideal winter aesthetic.

Definitely not an ice storm. I've always been a fan of a good snow, mug of hot cocoa, and warm cuddles with the one I love most.

What is it like working with family?

It's actually far more rewarding than one could actually imagine. Sure, there are times where tension runs high and we all feel like we're going a little crazy when we're stuck in the shop, but those are usually few and far between. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world! I get to work with two of my best friends, when we're there, and we make money while doing so! It's a win/win.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I always find these questions to be so weird because I have no idea where I'm going to be in five years, honestly. I hope I'm still running a successful ice cream and sweets shop with my badass little sister ( with the help of a wonderful staff, of course. ) Perhaps even expanding on that to open up another somewhere else in the city. Could you imagine? Our parents would be proud. And you know, still very much taken by this wonderfully magnificent woman of mine —perhaps even with a nice ring or something.

It had been quite some time since Anna found herself stomping around Manitou Springs, so it went without saying that she was far too excited to be back in town with her girlfriend in tow. They were going to have so much fun — taking in the area, drinking cocoa, and maybe hitting the slopes - if the time allowed for it. And then, of course, all of those plans were tossed out the window the moment real life took a turn towards a Halloween horror flick. Doing their best to survive wasn’t exactly the way she pictured them spending the past few weeks, and yet here they were, locked away in her mother’s home, avoiding going out unless absolutely necessary. “We were supposed to be doing something fun...” A low groan escaped her as she looked out the front window with complete dismay. “Now, all I can think about is how quickly we’ll be able to get home.” Moving to tuck herself in the corner of the couch, she turned her attention towards Ruby with an inquisitive look upon her face. “What are the chances you would be okay with bringing Ingrid along with? I... I know we don’t exactly have an abundance of room, but there is a guest room that she can stay in, and I’m not talking about forever here.” [ @askbigred ]

Have the recent disappearances made you think about leaving town?

I honestly only came to town long enough to celebrate my mother's marriage, and with everything that's been going on, I look forward to heading on back to Washington. I just have to figure out how to convince my girlfriend to allow me to drag my sister along because even if they get to the bottom of all of this, I'm still not exactly going to be at ease with the whole thing.

Why do you think hooded figures are scoping out homes?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say not for anything good — especially after today's findings.

Did you know Killian, Kelly or Will?

I knew them in the sense that they're pretty integral people in the community, but personally, no. I think my mother’s friends with them, but I could be wrong. My fingers and toes are crossed for a speedy recovery.

Have you been questioned by the FBI?

I have not been questioned by the FBI, but I imagine my time will come. I may have grown up in town, but you know, with a bunch of people currently mucking about that aren't usually around, well - I think it would be pretty stupid for them not to question us all. They just won't get really far with me because I have no idea what the actual heck is going on around here anymore.

Do you believe in witchcraft?

It's kind of hard not to believe in witchcraft when I lived a good chunk of my childhood trying to convince Inny that we were kind of like Matilda.

How do you like Manitou Springs?

It's the first place I ever called home, and I don't think it's lost any bit of that welcoming feeling - even with recent events.

What terrifies you the most?

Maneki-neko. I understand that there's some sort of physics involved to make it continuously wave, but do they ever stop waving? I know I've seen some of them simply with the beckoning paw in the air, not in motion, but once it starts, does it stop? I've also seen movies where they come to life. Honestly, I appreciate the sentiment behind the statues, but there's too many questions that I don't think I'll ever know the answer to! ...oh, and losing those I care about is a second horror.

If you had to describe your hometown in one word, what would it be?

I want to say something like 'quaint,' but that doesn't sound very Hallmark Christmas Movie, and we all know that Manitou Springs brings in such a warming vibe that it could definitely be the backdrop for one of those wholesome movies ( outside of witchy season, of course. )
