Did I miss the memo on commission artists bombarding fanfic writers every time we upload something??

I swear I’ve uploaded twice in the last week and 90% of the feedback comes back to commissioned work of some kind.

Not that I’m not grateful, but i just can’t afford it other now and most don’t actually seem to read the story. They just piece together information from the tags.

Is this a legit thing or just a scam? Asking cause I’m hella confused.

The first time Harry hits her, Sansa rationalises that he doesn’t mean it. He’s very drunk and she convinces herself it won’t happen again. It helps that in the morning he feels terrible about it. He looks pitiful, standing with his head hung in shame. Behind him is his mother, Elaine Waynwood, waiting for him to get on with it. She dislikes anything that would cause a scene. Her son and his new bride fighting is certainly to cause a few tongues to wag.

She waits for them to make up.

He begs for her forgiveness with flowers in hand and tears in his eyes. The promise that it won’t happen again spills over and over from his lips. She wants to believe him.

So, Sansa forgives him.

He does it again.

And again.

It shouldn’t surprise her but it does. She feels almost stupid for believing it wouldn’t. But he’s always sorry the next morning. A pitiful sight at her feet with tears in his eyes and a gift of some sort in hand. She realises the more bruises he leaves, the bigger the gifts get. She buys more make up and learns to cover them up better, hating that she has to.

But she doesn’t hate him. Not yet. Because as much as he has a temper, he is still her Harry. Sweet charming Harry. And he knows how to charm her. He still makes her laugh, though now its lost some of its sincerity. She doesn’t just watch him because she’s in love with him but more like she is always trying to gauge his reaction. So, she can be prepared. She looks at him no longer with just stars in her eyes. But she can’t seem to hold it against him. Because he’s still a good husband.

k but if u haven’t seen the guy ritchie sherlock films u don’t get it but they fully wrote holmes as in love w watson. like undeniably in love. In the first ten mins holmes refuses to take a Single case for three months bc watson won’t go with him. he locks himself in his room for two straight weeks, drugs the dog, and shoots the wall for attention bc watson is moving out. he says the world outside his room has nothing to offer until watson asks him to go to dinner & immediately agrees. he humiliates mary bc he’s jealous she can marry watson and he can’t. he goes to a fight club to Feel Something bc he knows john is slipping away from him. there’s never any “oh well just bros being bros” the whole tone towards it is just “ofc he’s in love w watson that’s one of his defining character traits”

as “action packed blockbuster” as these films are

1. sherlock isn’t portrayed as an emotionless machine or sociopath. actually, one of the big problems he faces is he feels too much (so he self medicates self harms and self destructs). he does weird experiments on the dog and annoys mrs hudson and has funny lil disguises

2. watson is not only a BAMF but genuinely loves working cases w sherlock (the adrenaline the mystery the violence) and genuinely matches sherlock’s freak even if he won’t admit it

3. they are both in love with other, both mad about it, and both refuse to vocalize it. once mary understands that john needs sherlock as much as sherlock needs john, she nudges them in a direction that they can both at least internally realize the depth of their feelings if not to each other. she doesn’t get jealous, just shrugs and starts saying “this is my husband john and the man snorting coke off a corpse is john’s husband sherlock”

Just started rewatching Ugly Betty and I have so missed when series were series.

Lemme break this down for you.

It’s four seasons with an average of 20 episode per season running at 42 minutes per episode.

That’s just golden.

Do you even understand what it feels like to know you can binge 20 episodes of a season… not just the whole series? A season.

I miss when binge watching a series felt like it was serious binge. It took me nearly two whole days to complete just the first season.

And speaking of which … the amount of shit that can happen in one season when you have this many episodes? Astounding. The characters have a better chance of development because it’s not been crammed into 13 ridiculously overly complex episodes.

I miss when series were series.

Like why is this so terrifying and why have a spent more time world building than actually writing anything?
