As someone that has grown up surrounded by beaches and done surf life saving, I know how the sea works. Lots of people dont. Every summer multiple tourists die here because they don’t respect the sea, if you’re going to the coast, here’s a thing I saw on Facebook.

Another note.

Rip tides are a particular problem in parts of the U.K., especially parts of Wales and Cornwall.

Please, please if you are in the U.K., only swim in lifeguarded areas and don’t put so much as a toe in the water if you are on a beach that has a red flag and no lifeguard or lifeguard station. (Some beaches are permanently red flagged). In May 2020, in a single day, two people died and a third were hospitalized because of rip currents on the Cornish coast.

(Cornwall is beautiful but something about the way it sticks out into the ocean breeds these things).

30 Day Disney Challenge

Day 22: An Underrated Movie. Atlantis and Dinosaur

Atlantis was not a movie I initially liked as child. It was different for Disney, much darker, more adult and without the musical quality of the last decade of Disney flicks. But for some reason it was always a movie I came back to. I didn’t watch it with the frequency of say, Hercules or Mermaid, but I watched it enough. It has grown on me. Its a bit odd and yes there are some big ? as to how any of the movie was possible. But I adore the animation. When Kida becomes the heart of Atlantis….I get goosebumps!

Now Dinosaur. I am probably the only person who likes this movie. I even wanted the McDonald’s toys. I am aware it is very Land Before Time-esque [like a lot] and that the lemurs would not have existed at the time period…but all that aside I just LIKED IT. I thought it was pretty to look at, I enjoyed the characters. I know a lot of people don’t even think of this movie but I certainly do and it is worth at least one watch and the CGI holds up rather well.
