//I’M BACK! P.S adore this interaction/plot//
“Oh, but I did! It’s my job as your friend! And also as a co-leader of the resistance, one of my jobs is boosting morale! And you looked like you needed one.” She smiled softly, gently sitting beside him. As she set the tray down on the table in front of them and leaned back.
After a couple of minutes she began talking wistfully and sincerely. “Sometimes it’s hard to be happy, with all the things that we have to deal with as heroes… seeing your friends in danger, knowing there’s always going to be somebody you can’t save, having to stay strong until the threat has passed. We have had so many close calls… like the metal virus.” She looked down, a hand closed and rested against her chest.
“I remember seeing the shambles everyone was in. It was terrifying, and heartbreaking. But there was no time for grieving or letting our guard down. I knew you were scared and worried, in fact- it was a little freaky to see you take something so seriously.” She laughed quietly in thought, as she fiddled with her hands.
“But I kind of realized during that time.. as a temporary leader of the resistance, how much pressure must be on you. You probably feel like how you did then, but like… all the time.” She slowly looked over at him with soft eyes. “And it made me sad. But… you know it lead to another realization for me, that I can’t always be out there fighting and protecting people…but that doesn’t mean I stop being a hero. One of my biggest strengths and aids to the resistance is to help keep morale up- ah- how do I explain it…? Ah! Shadow told me… that I have a knack for saving people from themselves.” She explained softly, her tail wagging slightly once again.
“Helping people… in the small ways has always been my strong suit. And the reward of seeing people smile is always worth it! And that is why I admire you, Sonic!” She said passionately. “No matter what, you always want to save everyone! And even when faced with horrifying situations and circumstances you keep fighting! You are by every sense of the word…a hero! You make everyone feel safe, cause as long as your around people know there is someone protecting them, and fighting for them! You are like- a beacon of hope! And one day I hope I can rise to your level, and help take some of the pressure from that title, off of you!” Her eyes sparkled with passion.
