5. How easy is it to earn their mistrust?
Despite everything that has happened to her in her life I think she *wants* to trust people? However, it's a one mistake type of deal. Fuck up once, lie once, hurt her once, and she's done. There's no earning the trust back, either. Unless Lucanis loves you and then fine I'll give you another chance for *his* sake but I'm gonna be pissy about it.
15. How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot or do they rehearse it in advance?
Oh. She definitely rehearses everything she says. Never stutters never stumbles always sure of her words and always sure of everything she wants to say. To the extent where some people might even have a problem with it (Bellara). Until she gets extremely emotional (mainly angry). I think that's why I like writing her and Lucanis' dialogues so much cause it's like almost impossible for her to know she's saying the right thing? She stumbles and stutters a lot more when she's talking to him vs everyone else. The same thing happens with her mother, where she always says things without thinking them through first because there's just So Much emotion involved. She's completely aware and absolutely hates stuttering or not knowing what to say. It was part of her training for Andraste's sake!
22. How does jealousy manifest itself in them?
Hmm. I think she oscillates wildly between aloof and extremely possessive and blaming whatever object of her jealousy is making her feel that way. Definitely tries to hide it as long as possible. Definitely lashes out at said object about it. Definitely lashes out at whoever is the cause of it. Just overall an unpleasant experience.
30. Who do they most regret meeting?
ooh this is a terrible question. Genuinely she believes everyone she's ever met has been worse off for meeting her but I think Neve. I have to say Neve. Also Varric. Oh my lord does she regret ever meeting Varric.
A) Why are you excited about this character?
She's my vessel for exploring what Veilguard could have been I guess? She's also a link between all 4 games for me and a type of pathetic I don't really see in a lot of female characters. Pookie <3. My silly rabbit. My right hand arm woman.
B) What inspired you to create them?
I wanted a character with ties to the previous games because one of my favourite things about creating OCs in specific worlds is specifically seeing how I can make them fit in a way that feels natural but still interesting. I also love both Fereldan and Orlesian culture so I wanted to incorporate those in some way. Then also my beloved exhiled noble trope I couldn't breathe without you.

I) Do you prefer to keep them in their canon universe?
Absolutely. I tend to dislike AUs in general because if the setting is that unimportant to character building then I probably wouldn't have been interested in the first place. Very much the setting has to be its own character and interact with characters in a way that truly shapes them.
