Derpy and the Dumb. In theory, some people who complained to Hasbro about Derpy did so because they didn't like having a mentally disabled character on the show. But clearly if all it took was one nitwit to end a show, most cartoons wouldn't be on today. This comic is a depiction of that argument.

Why did this all happen? Based on the information I have, this is it in a nutshell. I wish they hadn’t made her a full-on retard. I wish they had stood up to the “offended minority”. But she’s back so that’s what counts. Still, there’s a story here and a good one so I’m going to see this Dumpster Derpy thing through to its conclusion.

Thrown Away Before you ask, no I haven't seen today's episode, but some of the art and such has already made it known that Derpy is back. In a real and permanent way. I sure hope so. As awesome as my Dumpster Derpy story plot was, I don't have much time to work on it right now and, more importantly, if Derpy really IS back, then maybe it's no longer necessary. Still, Hasbro DID commit the crime of removing her for so long so I may finish it eventually as a memorial. In either case let's enjoy the show!
