I’m out of questions, feel free to send me some while I lay here in the bath. What challenge do you all think is coming next? We’ve had room decor and a chili cook off, so it looks like it could be anything. 

I am as well. I will send some out later on. You are welcome in my inbox as well. Admittedly the challenge surrounding chili took me a little by surprise, but I believe I did well nonetheless. Personally I am looking forward to seeing a more physically-based challenges, those are the ones I am confident I can excel at. And yourself?

Dave: That's quite a title. Do you like it?

Dave: well, yeah. it's accurate. I play video games, therefore I am indeed, a gamer lol anyway I am also a little bit of a coaster and theme park enthusiast too. I watch a lot of youtube when i'm not making videos...idk. what else do you do?

Hunter: It is. It's a mouthful. I generally appreciate titles, but it feels a bit much. I do, yes. I appreciate the opportunity to work with my passions. And yourself? Do you enjoy gaming?

Hunter: Understood. Coaster and theme park enthusiast? Why is that? Interesting. I clean. I read quite a bit. I enjoy watching the occasional documentary. Are you interested in history at all?

A fitness instructor/nutritionist… uh oh. My favorite thing to make is probably something you’d recommend staying away from. I love making muffins of any kind, but I’m also a fan of cakes and cookies. Basically anything sweet and full of sugar and carbs, haha! Maybe you can motivate me to hit the gym sometime? Thanks for the welcome, it’s really nice to meet you, Hunter.

Taking into consideration some of the other conversations I’ve seen you having, I’m inclined to agree. Still, it’s a good question to ask. I cannot remember the last time I ate anything even remotely close to any of that. There are options for making things like that healthier, is that something you’ve ever considered? Even if it isn’t a permanent change (and I wouldn’t expect it to be), it might be worth looking into. I would be glad to do that. If you want, I can help you get together a personalized fitness routine- something that starts at your current ability level, and builds as your stamina does. No problem, it’s nice to meet you too.

When Hunter arrived, Kurt looked towards the door he had left open and tipped his head, standing to greet the other man. “Hello, hello. I’m an enthusiast either way, there are very few things I won’t watch. I like musicals, but I already mentioned that. I’m a bit Disney nerd too, and I fall for the classics and anything with romance involved. Moulin Rouge makes me cry every time. What about you?”

Hunter remained expressionless while Kurt explained his interests, however he nodded periodically to show that he was actually listening. Hunter Clarington was nothing if not intense. “That’s...Something. I don’t know that our tastes will align perfectly. That is to be expected.” Stepping further into the room Hunter took a seat on one of the empty beds. “For the most part, I watch documentaries. Particularly those focusing on World War I, World War II...Things of that nature. I have not seen many musicals. Which is your favorite?”

Dave: That's what I meant. Obviously we haven't met lol I'm a gamer, yeah. what do you do?

Dave: Wait. why is gamer in quotations?

Hunter: Right, that makes sense. I'm a Fitness Instructor, Nutritionist, and Influencer. Or, that's what I'm told.

Hunter: Because I wasn't sure that was the appropriate terminology. I don't generally keep up with things like that.

Hunter: What else do you enjoy doing?

Hunter stepped into the room Kurt was staying in and nodded his head in greeting. “Hello. Thank you for agreeing to hang out. You wanted to compare movie interests?”

When my friends and I get together, if we’re not getting together for karaoke, Broadway, a fashion show, or a movie, we talk about music, fashion, and sometimes fitness trends. Trends in general, really. 

Interesting. What kind of movies do you enjoy watching?

You caught me. That depends on the person. Are you telling me you’ve never hung out with anyone before?

I thought so. Not necessarily. More just that I have not hung out with anyone in quite some time. My interests have never quite aligned with those of my peers, so the past experiences I do have erred on the side of awkward. What do you enjoy doing?

I am not a man who makes assumptions, however I am assuming the first half of your statement was sarcasm. I’m not sure. What do people normally do when ‘hanging out’?

The alarm sounded and instructions to begin preparations for the first official challenge were being spread across the house. People were getting dressed and rushing out. But Jake was laying in the closet of his bedroom, Chinese food in one hand and a bottle of hard liquor in the other, almost definitely asleep. 

When the alarms started to sound, Hunter rose from his position on his bedroom floor and wiped his palms over his thighs. He had been up for hours, and had taken to doing push-ups out of boredom. But, the realization that the first challenge they had all been waiting for had come helped to focus his mind. Sliding into his tennis shoes he started to head towards the back yard. Passing the closet a figure caught his attention, so he paused, backtracking while his eyes squinted into the dim lighting. Seeing Jake’s figure he shook his head and rolled his eyes, debating whether or not to just leave him. Sighing, he moved into the closet, nudging Jake’s body lightly with the toe of his shoe. “Jake, the first challenge is being announced. You need to be downstairs, now.”
