↳ You know it wouldn’t be my room if there weren’t twenty five different kinds of plants. This challenge was awesome, I’m looking forward to the next one! #interiordesign #i’maboss
asktherealblaine:
Oh, shh. It’s just a matter of learning it the right way! Though, fire while boiling water is a great feat that you could actually be kind of proud of. You just let me know what you wanna try and when you wanna try it and I’ll be there. Okay, but that is really awesome. I have friends who have been out on tour with Broadway before and I’m so jealous of the traveling part. It’s my secondary passion. I’d love to see your group perform sometime! I think my TikTok took off when I started to tag everything right, which is embarrassing, but I had a personal one where all I did was scroll through baking tutorials and I was like, I am really capable of this. So I just sort of started. I post longer tutorials on Youtube and shorter preview kind of ones on TikTok.
I’ll take your word for it, for now. But, you can’t hold me responsible when you’re singing a different tune no more than twenty minutes into this adventure. I’ve heard that’s the case, I’m pretty talented if I do say so myself. Well...How about Thursday? And, what would you say is the easiest place to start? Or, the simplest dish to learn? Traveling is amazing, it’s honestly the best part of the experience. You should do it more often! Where do you most want to go? We’d be happy to have you in the audience! No shame, it can be a hard place to navigate. I also lurked for a while before I jumped in. That’s cool though, it sounds like you’ve got your whole thing down. Obviously it’s working for you.
askprojectdave:
“Yeah, my dad likes video games, just not as much as I do. Sort of thought I was wasting my time on Youtube for a while, but I think he’s pretty proud of me now.” Dave smiled with a shrug, “They did re-release those! I definitely played those way too much, mostly off camera because, well, it’s just one of those nostalgia things I wanted to experience on my own.” Dave sat down next to her, getting comfortable. “I’d like to be a dad someday. I think I’ll need a major change of lifestyle though. I already spend…way too much time away from the family I already have. But I’m okay, promise. I’ve just had a lot to think about lately.” Dave forced a smile onto his face to prove it, which only made him laugh for real. He leaned back in his chair, wrapping his arms around a decorative pillow on his lap. “It’s not personal, but don’t think I’ll take it easy on you!”
Ella’s eyes widened, head nodding in immediate agreement. “I know what you mean! When I first started getting serious about performing, my whole family was pretty against it. They staged something like an intervention, trying to tell me to set more realistic goals. They’ve changed their tune now though. I’m glad your dad has too. It’s hard, feeling like your family doesn’t support you.” Shifting slightly, Ella turned to face Dave once he’d settled, making herself more comfortable. “Yes! I thought so! And I don’t blame you for that, you deserve some stuff just for you. Everyone does, you know. I know what you mean with that, though.” Her eyes fell for a moment, expression darkening only slightly before she brought her eyes back up to meet his. “I’m the same. I would love to have kids, but I know a lot of things would have to happen first. You know, if you ever need someone to talk to, I’m here. Or, if you just want a distraction, I’m here for that too.” Grinning, she reached forward to place a comforting hand on Dave’s shoulder. “Good! I hope you don’t! I want to know it’s authentic when I beat you!” Laughing, she pushed playfully into his arm. “Honestly, I’m glad you’re here. All this competition aside, I’m really glad to have the chance to get to know you better. It’s nice, having a friend.”
askfinnyd:
Well, you still had plenty to say about what I said, so I’m in luck! We can party anywhere, really. You’ve been here longer, have you seen any dope party spots around here? I’ll get some snacks and drinks together from the kitchen and the bar.
I guess you are, yes! That’s true, the sky’s the limit and this house is ours...For the time being, anyway. As long as we don’t damage anything, I think we’re good. I have been, yes. Well, if it were warmer I’d say the pool, but since it’s a little chilly tonight..We could do the cinema? That could be cool. Sounds good, I’ll get some blankets and pillows, just in case. Want to watch a movie, or just hang out in there?
askfinnyd:
What’s up, guys and gals and everyone else! FinnyD in the house! I had to beat this tricky ass level in Elden Ring real quick but now I’m here to check out the social media scene here in the Project Real house. This is next level cool, my dudes. Grilled Cheesus really did me a good solid, sending me here. I almost wish I hadn’t eaten it. Are we ready to party or whaaaaaat?
I don’t think I know what any of that meant, but I’m here for it! And, you said party, so of course I show up. Ella Lopez, ready to party! This house is next level cool though, you’re right. I was just telling someone else I’ve never stayed someplace so big. So, where’s this party going to be?
askremyrochefort:
In the kitchen, Remy found himself steaming over a steaming pot. Cooking wasn’t his forte, he had people that did that for him back home. There were a few French recipes written down somewhere that he could trudge through, because he’d grown up learning them as fun activities, but overall… he was definitely not a chef. But he was definitely human, so he needed to eat nonetheless. Lighting a cigarette, he took a step back from the pot and stared down at it, not entirely pleased with the way it looked and the memory he had in his head of what it was supposed to look like. “Merde.”
Having realized she hadn’t eaten since breakfast, Ella skipped her way down the main staircase, landing with a thunk on the floor beneath the last step, breaking into a saunter on her way into the kitchen. Turning the corner, she spotted Remy, bent over the stove. “Hey!” She spoke and signed, then waved. “What’s cooking?” Ella asked before opening the fridge, her eyes scanning the shelves.
asktherealblaine:
Hi Ella! It is really cool that you’ve tried to make my stuff and I would totally love to help you figure it all out! I’m sure it’s just a simple little thing- I do that more often than I want to admit. What kinds of things do you perform? I’ll admit, I don’t make it off of cooking TikTok very often.
I really can’t thank you enough. But, I do need to warn you, I’m bad. Like...Really bad. I once set my stove on fire boiling water. Just...Keep that in mind. Oh, I perform all kinds of things. I’m a member of a well-known traveling troupe of other Deaf performers. We put on shows all over, kind of like a circus. But, it’s a mix of dance, songs, acting skits, comedy, things like that. That’s alright, I think a lot of us are just venturing out for the first time. How did you get started on TikTok?
askprojectdave:
Dave grinned, thinking of his first game, “Well, I started on the Nintendo 64, though I wasn’t quite good at it. Mostly I just watched my dad play. I remember though, when I was young, we had an original PlayStation and I played the shit out of Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot!” He really did love gaming and was happy to share his love with anyone who wanted to listen. “Really? I’m glad to hear that. It’s definitely my favorite game, by far. My dad actually works at Valley Fair, up in Minnesota, so it’s sort of something we share, a passion for amusement parks and coasters.” Dave shrugged with a small smile, missing his family just a little. “Okay, but if they’re going to make us eat something like spiders…remember that show Fear Factor, back in the 2000’s? If it’s anything like that, I’m not prepared!” He laughed, “Maybe we’ll be put into teams. You know, it’ll be a bit hard to compete against a friend,” Dave nudged her gently with his elbow.
The corners of Ella’s lips turned down slightly, eyebrows raising as she nodded. “Nintendo 64, I do remember those days. They had those...Cartridge looking games, right? Oh, so your dad liked video games? Looks like the apple really doesn’t fall far from the tree.” Her eyes narrowed a bit at the mention of the other games. “I think I’ve heard of those too. I have friends who are really into games...Didn’t they recently re-release both of those games? Or, am I losing it? It’s cool that you and your dad have that shared hobby though. It’s a bond. Maybe you’ll be able to pass the love down to your kids, if you ever wanted to be a dad.” Smiling, she settled herself into a nearby chair. She saw the brief moment of perceived sadness, and she leaned forward a bit. “Are you alright? But- Yes! I remember! That’s exactly what I was thinking about! What if it’s something really gross? Or, what if it’s something we’re afraid of? I hope they wouldn’t do that, but I guess we have to be ready for anything.” The nudge drew a smile from her, and she nudged him gently back. “Maybe. That would be a great way to ease us into it. Then again, I know that’s wishful thinking. You’re right about that, though. It will be tough. Just so long as we both remember it’s not personal, we’ll be alright, right? I mean, as long as you’ll be okay getting your ass kicked.” She signed, laughing at her own joke.
asktherealblaine:
Hello! I’m Blaine Anderson and I’m bringing a taste of San Francisco to the table. It’s nice to meet all of you!
Hey! It’s nice to meet you, Blaine! I’m Maricella Lopez, but everyone calls me Ella. I’m a Deaf Performer and TikToker. I’ll admit, I’ve tried and failed to recreate more than one of your sweet treats, so I’m pretty pumped to have you in the house. Maybe we can find time for you to show me what the hell I’m doing wrong. And, word on the street is, you’ve come just in time for our first challenge this weekend!
askprojectdave:
“Hey, no, definitely not stalkerish!” Dave laughed with a small shake of his head. “I’ve just got years of practice is all, I’m sure you’d do just as well if you played as much as I do. I’m writing it down, yeah, sketching out coaster designs for my challenge park in Planet Coaster. I wonder if I could get some sort of set up, just, you know, to play without an audience. Damn, I hope my followers can handle my absence while I’m here,” he joked, “Honestly, this is such a great opportunity, you’re right. I’d like to make good connections, but who knows what sorts of challenges there’ll be! I don’t even know where to begin to imagine what they’ll have us do.”
“Good, I would have been kind of heartbroken if it had come off wrong.” Ella nodded, giving a small shrug in Dave’s direction. “I know you’re probably right, it just wasn’t something I got into as a kid you know? We never really had money for consoles and things like that. I would play sometimes when I went to my friends houses, but not much more than that. What console did you start on? Or, do you remember your first game? I’m glad you’re writing it all down, I can’t wait to see all the great new stuff you come out with.” Her face lit up at the prospect of Dave acquiring games during his time in the house. “That would be awesome. Your Project Coaster playthroughs are always the best. Very entertaining, 10/10 for sure. I’m sure we could get a copy, if we asked nicely enough. I’m sure they’ll survive, though. What is it they say? Absence makes the heart grow fonder? Something along those lines.” Laughing, she took a small step forward. “We’ll have to get working on that then. Time is wasting! I’m the same. I keep thinking they might have us eat something nasty, or build something, or probably do something physical. I’ll be the worst at that, I’m sure of it.”
askprojectdave:
Dave turned to face her before speaking, “Yeah, I’m fine, just taking it all in, you know? Pretty big change! I am missing my games, yeah. I always get all sorts of ideas for my Let’s Plays when I’m somewhere I can’t film. How are you settling in?”
“Are you sure about that?” Ella asked, cocking an eyebrow as she smirked playfully. “I thought you would be. Is it weird that I’m kind of missing watching you play? Like, I realize that sounds super stalker-ish, but I promise it’s not. It’s just a hobby. You play way better than I ever could.” Laughing, she shook her head at herself. “Are you writing everything down? You should. I’ll bet you’re coming up with some awesome shit. I’m doing okay I think. I’m trying to think of ways to reach out, and start making connections. There are all sorts of opportunities for such cool things here. Don’t you think? Have you thought about what the first challenge might be?”
“Okay bro, you’ve been quieter than I’m used to you being. Are you settling down okay?” Ella spoke and signed simultaneously. “Missing those video games of yours yet?” @askprojectdave
Would you rather be able to talk to land animals, animals that fly, or animals that live under the water?
Land animals, I think. Just because I’m around them more.
If you could change careers right this second, what would you do?
It’s hard to answer this, because I wouldn’t quit my “job”. I love what I do. And, the phrasing of this makes it sound like I do what I do because I have to. But, I think I get your point. So, if I HAD to do something else, I would probably do something like bartending. Or, maybe I would be a therapist.
What did say as a kid when asked: What do you want to be when you grow up?
I always said I wanted to be a parakeet. I never claimed to be normal.
askfranniefabrayofficial:
Hi, it’s Ella right? Believe it or not, I recognize you too! You’re sweet, I’m happy to talk more about them with you, if you’d like. I understand what you mean there, though! I used to read so much, but these days it has become such a rare pastime even for me. You’re right about the food too, I didn’t realize how hungry I was until you said something. I wonder the same, but since it’s a formal event I’m betting it’ll be on the fancier side of things. Personally, I’m more of a burger kind of girl, but hey, I’m sure I’ll love whatever they serve. I wish I could take such a relaxed approach, really. I stress about stressing unfortunately, so I’ve been staring at about five different options since the announcement was made. Are you settling in alright?
It is, you’re right! No kidding? I guess none of us should really be surprised, but still. It’s a hell of a thing. I would like, yes! Maybe we could start a reading circle while we’re here. That could be cool. The dinner was amazing, I was happy with the quality. I guess we’re on our own with it now, but that’s fine too. You looked perfect, don’t worry about that! No stress needed. I don’t think it’ll help, even in challenges. I’m settling in great, thanks! This place is so big- the biggest I’ve ever been in. It’s a lot different than Brooklyn that’s for sure. Have you thought any about the challenges?
