((Hello! I’m just a fan, and there’s only one of me here. I was tempted to answer this in character, like I usually do for meta posts, but a straight question deserves a straight answer.
I’m kinda sorta on hiatus from the blog. Actually, technically, it’s officially been retired... I’m just bad at staying away! The job I had when I decided to close the blog had pretty much killed my spirit for creativity and it was having a direct impact on the quality of my fills. I took a lot of pride in making sure every answer was a good read. Hopefully that came across! :P I made the decision because I’d rather have a finished project I can be proud of, than keep providing sub-par answers I’m unhappy with that don’t match up to my expectations of myself.
I’ve since quit that job for one much less emotionally exhausting, and of course in recent months haven’t been working at all, and I’ve thought many times about opening back up. That, for me, would be a significant commitment, though. I don’t want to open back up just for the sake of filling answers, I want to make sure I’m still providing an askblog worth following and answers worth reading. I do miss it, though.
I still get the occasional question into the askbox and still every time it occupies my mind for a few hours at least, thinking about the most fun way to answer it. I should commit, one day. But then I feel that’s unfair to the ones I’ve received that I didn’t commit to, and I put it off.
Well, a lot of people have stuck around since this blog’s closure (thank you so much- it really means a lot), so I’d be interested in some opinions if anyone has some to share.

I’d say it’s fairly balanced between the three of us. Nozomi and I typically prefer to find a place to order from. She prefers the rustic little eateries- the sort that seem to have existed since Edo and just remained hidden, invisible to all except those who know, frozen in time until we walked in.
I confess, I’m more of a trendy coffee-bar type...
But, of course, neither compares to some home cooking! We’ll often bundle around to Nico’s house for some of her home-made treats. It’s nice to get some time just to ourselves. A little Third-Year solidarity does a lot for the spirit.

So, this April Fool’s Day, every single pairing imaginable will be canon. KotoRin? Of course! HonoMaki? You betcha. NozoNico? …If you insist, sure.
“But how is this possible?” you ask. Well, I’m the one who translates what the girls say from Japanese to English, so…

I’ve actually given it a lot of thought before. You know… I have food, I have shelter, I have clean water, I have entertainment… I live quite a blessed life! There’s really nothing material I could ask for.
So I suppose, my christmas wish is for my dear friends to have a warm and happy season, full of good food and good cheer, with lots of wonderful memories to take us into the new year.
…Jeez. How on earth are the rest of us supposed to follow up an answer like that?
I really tried my best, but my spiritual power is starting to wane…
I’m sorry, Honoka-chan. I’ve done everything I could to keep this dream going, and it feels like we still have so many stories yet to tell… but I don’t think I can keep this up much longer.

What started as just a little place for me to practice writing character voices somehow snowballed into a huge project with over 400 followers! I’m so thankful people enjoyed this blog and sent in so many great questions. I wanted to end the blog properly, rather than just stop updating and let it peter out.
It’s been a pretty wild ride, from writing myself in circles trying to dodge all the shipping questions, to convincing someone to drink the quite awful smµ’sthie, and even at one point I had to write a rap (which someone actually performed and I’m still SUPER EXCITED about that). I don’t think I made any millionaires with Honoka’s lottery numbers (10 and 12 are from Emitsun’s birthday!), but time will tell!
I’m sorry to everyone whose question I didn’t get around to answering. Even when I was at my most active, they were coming in quicker than I could answer them! It was both wonderful and terrifying to see, lol.
I might, if there’s any interest, do some kinda mod Q’n’A, since for the most part I’ve let the girls do all the talking. (I actually wrote it to imply Nozomi was running it, but I don’t know if that really caught on.) If there’s anything you’re curious about and want to ask me, or where I was heading with any unresolved plot threads, feel free, and I’ll either put a post up with them or just answer privately if there’s not enough for a post.
Umi’s Gym Leader Challenge will remain open, as will my Tumblr Chat Box Thingy, and maybe I’ll post once in a while for a special occasion, but otherwise I think I’ve said all that needs saying. Quitesimply- it was the ferocity with which she fought to keep the school fromclosing. She fought for it even harder thanI did.
Shewas told “it’s impossible”, took it as a challenge… andperformed several other impossible feats in order to overcome thatchallenge.
Iknow she’ll fight with everything she has, and then a little bitmore than that, to do what’s best for the school she loves. I can think of noone better suited to the role. I haven’t the slightest doubt that Imade the right decision.
