The leader grunted as he broke free only for thicker vines so replace them, “You little bitch!” With a loud, sharp whistle the part of the boardwalk both Pepper and Duck be broke from a force under it.

Both went flying to into the water and two figures swam toward them. “Didn’t think I ONLY brought these guys did you?” the Rhino demon bragged, snapping the vines again.

Pepper swam to Duck and grabbed him. She wasn’t sure if the neko man knew how to swim or not but she wasn’t going to chance it. Until she was being pulled under by something that grabbed her ankle. Sadly her key necklace decided Duck was going down with her as it got caught on his shirt.

Rose was the lucky, safe one. Water lilies grabbed Duck and Pepper, pulling them away. Whatever grabbed Pepper was also being attacked by the water lilies. When Duck and Pepper were close, Rose pulled them out of the water. Getting them away from the boardwalk, she sighed.

“Ok so… I can’t get us out of here… Maple Island doesn’t like that. I have an idea, not sure if it’ll work…” making sure Duck and Pepper had locked arms with her, Rose snapped her fingers.

If they were lucky, they’d appear in her apartment on Maple Island.

Duck had attempted to swim with someone dragging him down. He was a good swimmer, he just couldn’t swim while something was tugging on his shirt so much it was choking him. All Duck could do was look up as the surface got farther away instead of closer. He might have prepared to die, had he known just how his terrible luck worked. He wouldn’t die. And he certainly didn’t. 

Once he surfaced, Duck coughed, almost throwing up a bunch of sea water as he did.

Pepper tried kicking at the hand dragging her and -unfortunately- Duck down below. The thought that this was how she was going to die flashed in her mind at their rapid decent.

Suddenly Water Lilies were lifting them back to the surface and as soon as they broke through the water she inhaled a deep breath. Rose pulled them out and Pepper thanked her while glaring at the Rhino demon. Rose informed the two she had an idea on how to get them outta there.

Pepper nodded as their arms locked together and hoped that nothing else was gonna happen.

A chuckle came from the leader from the group, a Rhino looking demon, “You think that scares me? Plus your ‘friend’ there shouldn’t be picking fights she can’t win.”

“First off, rude, I beat your ass fair and square, and second, all I did was ask for directions and you attacked me,” Pepper clarified. “You’re just mad I hurt your fragile ego.”

The leader glared with murderous intent, “Just give us the witch and we’ll be on our way.”

Rose sighed, then frowned, shaking her head.

“Not happening.” Her fingers moved, vines errupting from underneath the Others, strong and thick, trapping them. Any attempts to get rid of those vines would lead to them regrowing even thicker. Once again grabbing Pepper and Duck, she tugged as she turned, pulling them with her as she began to run.

“They’ll stay put for now, let’s get gone before they get free.”

Duck managed to trip. A lose board on the boardwalk caught his foot. He wrestled his hands free of Rose and his pocket. Though, as he pulled the one out of his pocket, he sent a tiny box flying.

It landed at the feet of a rather strange looking bird. It appeared to have wings on it’s legs, and a long neck, with a pointed beak attached. Tilted it’s head before picking up the box. Duck’s eyes widened. 

“HEY!” 

Duck got onto his feet quickly. He made a beeline toward the bird, who screeched and took off as fast as it’s legs could take it. It gave a few leaps unto the air before opened it’s legs and flew off. 

Duck could only stand there and curse.

Pepper looked at Duck and smiled warmly, “It’s nice to meet you.” Turning her attention back to Rose while rubbing the back of her head, “Sorry for not keeping in touch, After I found my key and healed up I figured it was time to continue the search.”

A voice from a few feet away than bellowed, “You!” Pepper didn’t have to look to know it was the same guy from the Red City. “That’s her men,” he snarled.

“You’ve gotta be kidding me right now,” Pepper sighed and turned to face the group of 5 varying “monsters” as humans called them. “Fuck.”

Rose grabbed Pepper, pulling her back. Letting go of both her and Duck, Rose stood in front, her M.I.T.F badge on display.

“I really wouldn’t recommend hurting my friend.” Her tone was darker than normal, her hazel eyes cold.

“Because to get to her, you’ll have to get through me, and I doubt the task force will approve.” She hoped that her protection via M.I.T.F would be enough to keep the jerks away.

Rose may have pushed Duck back, but he didn’t stay there. He was at her side in a second. His teeth were bared and his eyes crazed. That look he would normally get when he was ready for a fight. Guy didn’t look like he needed another wound on his face, but he was ready to protect Rose if he needed to. 

“Yeah. I’d suggest you fuck off.” Duck snarled.

Pepper was fairly certain someone had lied to her at this point. She had been searching this island for a day or two now trying to find a black cat with bright orange eyes.

She absentmindedly rubbed a fresh forming bruise cause by an unruly man  from the “Red city”. With a sigh she realized she had been staring at a couple going for a walk. The woman looked oddly familiar as she squinted to see better.

“Rose? Oh my gods! Rose!” a cheerful voice burst from her as she walked toward the two.

Rose looked back, and one could almost see the lightbulb go off.

“Pepper, right? It’s been so long, I wasn’t sure… how have you been?” She paused, a faint blush appearing.

“Ah, this is my boyfriend, Duck. Duck, this is Pepper, a friend of mine.” Though they had only met once or twice…

Duck looked between the two. His face showing that he’s unimpressed, but those who knew him knew better. The feline was simply just hard to read. Though, the fact that his ears were perked up and his tail was wagging lazily suggested friendly. If Rose knew this person, then they were probably good. Thus, he warmed up to Pepper faster then he might a stranger. He did a sort of wave toward her. 

“Hey.”

Duck wasn’t usually nervous often. Though, it was understandable why he was. Looking for a suitable place to purpose while trying not to be suspicious, was probably making him look suspicious. Duck had looked at Rose, wondering if she notice, but soon saw she was focused on something. He tilted his head and looked toward what she was looking at. 

It took him a second to follow her eyeline to the girl in the distance. His head tilted a bit farther and his ear twitch. He straightened his head out and looked at Rose. 

“Someone ya know?” He asked.

I am SO sorry for not being on here in a year. I’ve been dealing with some mental health problems and honestly was so depressed I had thought about just deleting the blog. I didn’t but I left with no explanation and finally logged back in though I’m still not sure if I’m up to Rp yet.

Papa Maxi

Pepper answered the call to see her grandfather and smiled, “Hello Papa Maxi. Not yet sadly, I got into a bit of trouble and I may have accidentally lost my PortKey.” She could see different people walking past her papa, “Have fun at the party at least Papa?”

“Ha, I think I would have more fun hunting down that cat then staying here. I could certainly use one of your pranks to liven up this place.” Salomon gave a quiet chuckle. Though he could usually find someone interesting to talk, it seemed this party was hard to connect with. “Do find that key soon. You and I both could get in great deal trouble.”

News of the key didn’t seem to upset him too much. He had faith in Pepper. Probably more faith than most would have. It took him a bit to notice. His eyes weren’t what they used to be, and the image on his old magical device wasn’t the best. His brows creased and the look of concern came. “Bellpepper, what happened? You look terrible.”

Pepper let out a sigh as she rubbed the back of her head, “Well, I may have gotten into a tiff with some...brutes and that may have been the reason I lost the Portal key. Good news though, I have some trusted friends helping me find it.”

She knew finding it was important because of the portal that was unstable and closing. If it closed on its own that’d be a big problem and she definitely didn’t want to be blamed for not fixing it. Papa Maxi didn’t need to know about that little piece of information...at least not yet.

A ring came from Pepper's communication device. Had she answered, a familiar voice came from it, along with a video-like image of an old man. He looked dressed to the nines, ready for some fancy wizard party by the looks. "Hello? My little BellPepper? Did you find the cat?"

Pepper answered the call to see her grandfather and smiled, “Hello Papa Maxi. Not yet sadly, I got into a bit of trouble and I may have accidentally lost my PortKey.” She could see different people walking past her papa, “Have fun at the party at least Papa?”

Peatrice looked at Rupin, “It’s these Grey Face.” She sounded irritated as she took a breath, “I don’t know if what they said is true but...”

She didn’t know how to tell him any of it or how he’d react. Peatrice grabbed his hands tight, “Ru, the Magic Grey Face said I was pregnant...with your child.”

"Hey Pea!" Sky called out, walking to the item check-in. "I'm back from the surface again! Wait till you see some of these things! I made sketches too!" (Skyofskyloft)

Peatrice looked up to see Sky walking towards her stall. He had been coming around a lot and, like Link, has been to the surface world numerous times. She liked him coming to see her with his stories and drawings of the world below.

“Hello Sky,” she greeted him. If she was being honest though, he was annoying to her at first but so was everyone else. Peatrice was surprised he kept coming back with a smile even with how cold she’d act.

There was no greeting at all for this Grey Face as she glared at them. If looks could kill...you get the rest. Peatrice could only imagine what her father was going to do when he found out about this.

"Hey, Pea." There was a familiar voice outside Peatrice's shop this morning. Before her would send Skyloft's newest graduate. "You look bored this morning." Link chuckled. (SkyofSkyloft)

Peatrice perked up at the sound of Link’s voice, “Well you’re about the only customer I get, darling.” She knew she was blushing from the nickname he had come to start calling her, “Is there anything you need?”

She smiled softly at him as her hands intertwined themselves together, resting near her chest.

Link smiled, breaking their eye contact to take the picnic basket from Cardinal’s back, then patted him, urging him to fly. Once the bird had flown off, Link took the blanket from over the basket and spread it out on the grass and began taking things out for their picnic. A couple of small sandwiches each, a bottle of pumpkin juice and some cups, some bottles of clear water, apple slices and, for dessert, a mixed fruit pie. Someone had taken the time to make sure this little lunch date was just perfect!

She watched him set up the picnic and looked in awe at it all, “This is amazing Darling.” Peatrice didn’t know what else to say so she gave him a peck on the cheek instead. This was one of the nicest things anyone’s done for her and she was happy that it had been Link.

The more she looked at this Grey Face though, the weirder she felt and the more worried she got. “Rupin!”

Thank you, I miss getting on but now I’m having some other troubles.

It seems my life loves one to put me in any pain when possible and right now it’s tooth pain/infection. It hurts a lot more then I’d like to admit but I’m taking meds for the infection and have a dentist appointment in early April.))
