Lady Bellum quickly jumped up, using her psychic abilities to gain height. She grabbed the side of the cliff behind her and looked down at Janet.
“You’re a senior at the dojo. Stop playing around and prove your strength!”
Janet huffed, and readied another attack. This time it was a Blizzard. She fired it at Bellum, who merely dropped back to the ground. The Blizzard hit the cliff where had been only seconds ago.
“I’m disappointed in you.” Lady Bellum said with her usual strict tone. Janet was used to it. “I expected better.” She took a step closed, but was stopped by the sound of crumbling.
She looked up to see that part of the cliff had broken into pieces, and several large rocks were falling towards her.
“LADY BELLUM!” Janet called, reaching out and trying to push her teacher away. However, something moved faster than her.
There was the sound of several sword strikes, and then the rocks shattered. Several pebbles rained down, causing Bellum to stare into the air in surprise.
“Is everyone alright?” A new voice called. Janet looked to its source and saw that a Gallade had appeared. It wasn’t just any Gallade, though. It was a Mega Gallade.
“Were you the one that broke up those rocks?” Bellum asked, also noticing him.
“Yes. My name is Richard, m’am.” The Gallade gave a deep bow. “I was passing by when I noticed the Poliwrath strike the cliff. Knowing the force would probably send some boulders falling, I decided to help if the need arose.”
“Well, I thank you for your assistance, sir.” Bellum curtsied, and Janet gave an appreciative nod. “I am Lady Bellum, and this is my student, Janet. We were just doing some training.”
“Training?” Richard raised an eyebrow. “You wouldn’t happen to be the owner of that dojo I passed by a while back?”
“Yes. I’m the dojo leader.” Bellum answered.
“Ah, well that’s great fortune! I was actually going out to find you. I read your flyers about how you were looking for new applicants? I would very much like to join, if you’d let me,” The Mega Gallade smiled.
“Well, you did save me... So it would be rude to not even consider.” Bellum replied with a nod. Janet shifted from foot to foot, not sure what to say.
“Janet, we’re heading back to the dojo now.” Bellum said suddenly, turning and beginning to walk. Richard was quick to follow her.
“What? But we haven’t finished training!” Janet cried, running after them.
“I think after you almost buried, I deserve to end things a little early.” Bellum said, not even looking back.
