((Hello everyone! My deepest apologies for yet another unannounced absence. To be entirely honest, I’d kinda lost my motivation for roleplaying these past couple of weeks, and I should have admitted this sooner. While Promenade is fun to write, she’s not exactly the most in-depth character I’ve ever made, and to keep a plot going with her was getting a bit difficult for me. Don’t fret, though, I’m not about to abandon this blog! I’m just putting my current roleplays, and the starters I was going to make, on temporary hiatus for the time being. I sincerely hope this isn’t too much of a bother. I’m probably going to take a little while to rethink Promenade’s personality, and potentially make a secondary nomad to rp with as well to prevent things getting stale. In order to keep the blog from going entirely inactive, I’ll be doing some other things! For one, I’d like to write drabbles about the other lovely nomad ocs on this site to help break my writer’s block. You guys can send me prompts and characters and I’ll do my best! I can’t guarantee that they’ll be great, or that I wont accidentally write your characters incorrectly, or that I’ll be writing drabbles every day, but I can say that I’ll try to write as much and as well as possible! I’ll do more drawing requests, too, after I finish the final one from the last request post (sorry about the wait, Freddy-mun!). These probably will be doodles, not fully colored pictures with backgrounds like before. And, finally, you’re all still free to send me asks relating to Promenade! Thanks to everyone for your understanding and patience. Again, if you see me being inactive, feel free to send a prompt/request/ask! I’ll let everyone know when I’m up to rp again. If this is too long, just read the bolded.))

"Well, besides this one? The planet we landed on before here was a desert planet, and it didn’t seem to have anyone on it either… That reminds me, we still need to report our findings. There’s no need to stay on this planet when there doesn’t seem to be anyone here. You stay here, and we’ll be right back."

The two Watchdogs got up, and headed off for a bit.

"Oh, hm. Odd that you've hit two barren planets in a row! Although, granted, a desert planet doesn't seem entirely hospitable." She mused aloud, then waved to the two as they departed. As they disappeared from view, Promenade realized she ought to report in as well. She pulled a small device from her bag, no larger than a note card and rather thin, with a glossy screen across the surface. It flickered to life, revealing a star map that was both vast and notably incomplete. Any information she entered here was readily accessible by the court back home. She was encouraged when she left to both protect it with her life and update it regularly, duties which she figured she'd done pretty well obeying. She fiddled with it for a moment, locating the planet she was on currently, making some notes about its habitat and seemingly absent populace. As the watchdogs returned to where she was seated, she was just in the process of slipping the device back into her bag. "So you've reported in? Ah, by the way, could you two notify me when the ship is ready to depart? My own ship is still on this planet, so I'll need disembark to go back and locate it."

Freddy plopped down in a beanbag chair, and Teddy sat next to him. “Sure, go on ahead.” Freddy said. “And ask anything you’d like about the army, although there isn’t much to tell.”

The princess sat down carefully across from Freddy, crossing her ankles and placing her hands in her lap. Her body somewhat sunk into the chair, relieved at finally being able to sit down and take the weight off of her feet. "Comfy chairs, here." She commented idly as she adjusted. "Not much to tell? Ah, well, certainly that can't be the case! Such an army must partake in many grand escapades! On which planet did this ship last land?"

"Well, let’s see, what should I show you first…" Freddy lead her to the food court. "Here’s the most important thing here, the food court!" He pointed towards one of the walls. "Oh yeah, there’s some bathrooms over there. Then there’s the weapon storage, but I’m pretty sure that’s off limit to guests… Let me see if I can think of anything else that’s important…"

The other Watchdog spoke up. “Well, there’s the break room, can’t forget that.”

"Oh yeah!" Freddy exclaimed. "Yeah, it’s over near the east side of the ship. I’ll show you that too." They started heading off in that direction.

She followed diligently, her comparatively long strides making it easy to maintain the watchdog's pace. "Oh, a food court! My, I haven't seen one of these in quite a while. Very lovely!" She took in a deep breath. The smell of food was very rich, and thickly saturated in the air of the room, although not sickeningly so. "Ah, a weapon storage, too. Entirely reasonable for it to be off-limits." She glanced over at the other watchdog, who see hadn't been paying much mind to, relieved that his voice was loud enough to hear this time. She continued to follow them as they led her to the break room, nodding with quiet approval as they opened the door. "Wonderful! My, do you mind if I take a seat? I'm still rather exhausted. Perhaps you can tell me some about this impressively diligent army whilst I rest?"

"My, my, my..." The princess seemed rather lost in thought as they boarded the colossal ship. It took her a moment before she had even realized Freddy had tried to speak with her. "Oh! Golly, what was it? Where I wish to go? Ah..." She tapped at her chin, pensive, glancing around several times before stopping and shrugging her shoulders. "All of it is so lovely. I simply cannot decide! Do you think you could just give me a grand tour of sorts?" She was so excited to see the ship that she'd forgotten her weariness, although in the back of her mind she was sure her legs would be sore later.

As they lead her to the ship, Teddy stayed silent as Freddy started to ask her a series of questions. “How long has it been since you ate? Do you need any rest? Have you seen anyone else here? How did you get here? Why’d you come to this planet? Did you come alone?”

Promenade was surprised when the eyeball begin to fire off questions in quick succession. She wasn’t sure what good the information would do him, although it was entirely possible he was just curious. Despite the flurry of queries catching her off guard, she focused on remembering them so that she could give a coherent response, even if her answers weren’t quite in order. “Well, I haven’t been lost for too terribly long a time, so it’s probably only been a few hours since I last ate. I am, however, quite exhausted. I’ll be glad when I get a chance to rest!” She laughed, trying to brush off some of her stress. “To be honest with you, I landed her on a whim. This planet looks stunning from space!” She paused, trying to remember if she forget anything. “Ah, I haven’t come across anyone else, and I technically came alone. Now, if you don’t mind, may I pose a few questions? I’m mostly curious as to who you two are, and how far away your ship is.”

"Wait, what do you mean "technically"?" Teddy muttered.

Then Freddy spoke up to answer her questions. “Well, this is my brother, Teddy.” He gestured at the other Watchdog, “And my name’s Freddy. We’re Watchdogs 2750 and 2751 of the great Lord Hater’s army. Our ship isn’t far from here, and if we keep walking at this pace, we should reach it in about 5 minutes.”

The princess heard a murmur from the watchdog on the far side of the one who currently held her attention, but she hadn't heard exactly what was said. No matter, she thought, for if it was something that he'd wanted her to answer, he'd surely repeat it in a louder voice. Paying the missed comment no further mind, she turned her focus back to the other watchdog. Apparently the two were brothers, with similar sounding names. "Ah, siblings? Delightful! And how endearing that you have made the decision to serve in the military of a indubitably powerful and respectable Lord together as brothers. I'm absolutely ecstatic to see your ship! I'm sure it's grand!" At the mention of a lord, Promenade's hands immediately flicked up to her hair in a subconscious attempt to smooth out more of the mess and seem more professional, without seeming too frenzied about it. She was, however, frenzied and nervous, now. A lord? She hadn't even practiced any sort of speech befitting the occasion! Perhaps she wouldn't even meet him. Surely a great and powerful lord would be very busy, and would not have time to even concern himself with guests. Yes, yes, surely that was the case- she likely would not even catch a glimpse of any lord or general or commander or anything of the sort! She was only going inside for a moment's rest, after all. In her fuss, she'd hardly noticed that they'd finally arrived. "Ah..." Indeed, it was grand, and she was at a loss for words. She cast an awestruck glance at Freddy, before exclaiming a loud and rather silly sounding "Incredible!"
