Oh, I actually didn't move here until after the Battle of the Bands. And what's an Alicorn Princess? *pauses* Sorry, this is all just so new to me...

“Oh- an Alicorn is like a Unicorn, but with wings and much stronger magical abilities. And Princess- Usually that means you’re royalty. Like a ruler of a kingdom. But in Twilight’s case, she’s the Princess of Friendship. Her duty is to spread friendship across Equestria- the land where we’re from.” 

Sunset nervously rubs the back of her head. “I hope that makes sense.”

Hello there. *teen male, anthro wolf, average muscle build*

Sunset stands there in stunned silence. “U-uh- er well...” she clears her throat awkwardly. “Hello. S-sorry, I’ve never... seen anything like you before,” she laughs nervously. “I’m Sunset Shimmer, what is your name?”

*Looks over Sunset's shoulder* So, who's Twilight? Didn't you say she also wasn't human?

“No, she’s an Alicorn Princess in that world. But she only comes here to visit on occasion. She doesn’t live here like I do.” Sunset pauses. “She was with us at the Battle of the Bands competition, the purple girl who was the lead singer in the finals. She’s really kind and smart, but a bit of a weirdo,” Sunset chuckles.

*Scrunches face while thinking* It's been a while, but it was obviously a unicorn, and it had a dark maroon coat.

“Dark maroon...” Sunset pulled a book from her backpack and started writing. “I’m telling my friend Twilight about this. She is a master of magic- if there is anypony who can help, it’s her.”

Ok, well, I'd say you'll find this crazy, but I actually don't think you will. When I was young, I had a dream. There were two horses arguing with each other, one was black and yellow and I swear looked a lot like me. I couldn't understand what they were saying, but then the one that wasn't me looked at me me and then there was a flash of light. I woke up and my body was glowing for a few seconds. After that, I had the hardest time with making stuff. I like to fiddle with electronics, (1/2)

and I couldn't seem to get anything to work after that. I managed to figure out simple stuff again, and I'm ok with working with prebuilt stuff. That's the reason why my one experiment I told you about failed. I believe I've been cursed, and I've been looking for evidence ever since. (2/2)

“Cursed...? What did the other pony look like?”

*Stays silent for a bit, then looks at Sunset with a super excited face* I was right! *Suddenly hugs Sunset* I finally found- *quickly lets go* Oh, sorry. Hehe...

“Wha-!” she exclaims in surprise. “Don’t worry about it. Uhh... F-found what...?”

Does that mean you and the others aren't human either?

“...I’m not. But my friends are. They just have a lot of Equestrian Magic inside of them. That’s why they get the ears and tails and wings."

“This is gonna sound crazy, but I’m from another world. I’m actually a Unicorn- or I was when I lived there. Twilight was from that world too, but she is an Alicorn.”

So... wait a minute. The drama kids were talking about how a giant unicorn blasted a rainbow laser at some weird demon ladies at the last battle of the bands. I thought it was just them being high and seeing some good stage effects. Was... was that real too?

Sunset nodded. “They weren’t demons, though. They were sirens.”

*sits down on the curb* Hold on a second, I've got to process this.

“O-oh...” She sits down next to him. “...Are you alright? I didn’t freak you out too badly... did I?”

if i ever drop a thread with you, it has nothing to with you personally. it’s all on me. the only reason i will ever drop a thread is if i lost it, lost muse for it or i don’t know how to reply. it has nothing to do with you as a person. we can just try to start a new thread or something.

*audible thump as Cleft's jaw hit's the ground* Wha- *stares in disbelief*

She stops playing and her extra features disappear. “I know, it’s weird. But it’s kinda cool, though, right?”

Hm? Oh, yeah. K, just a sec. *Stands up and heads to the counter, buys a donut, and heads outside*

“Ok, here we go.” 

Sunset starts to play, starting out soft then getting louder. She lifts off of the ground slowly, then in a burst of light her ears and ponytail appear and her wings burst out from her back.

*Looks a little confused* Ok... go for it.

Sunset nods to him, then picks up her guitar case and pulls out her guitar. She gets ready to play, then pauses. “Um, I don’t think they’d want me to play here in the cafeteria. Wanna go outside?”

I didn't mean to offend. If you truly believe they aren't going to change then of course you should follow your judgement. Just remember, your judgement was wrong once before. A little kindness and understanding can do very powerful things. The sirens simply follow their nature, but natures can change. I urge you to ask Twilight about a being named "Discord". You have likely heard of him, but I'm not sure if you know that he has been reformed. He is still troublesome but not like he was before.

“Discord? No, I haven’t heard of him. I’ll have to ask Twilight about him...” she trails off for a moment.

“...Maybe I should at least try to talk to them. But I don’t know where they are... I don’t even know where to start looking.”

*flaps hand* Oh come on, there's no way that's real. You've got to let me in on your secret.

“It’s real alright. I can prove it to you if I have to,” she grins.
