Bloodswap 4/13 Upd8!!

Hey there everyone! Big update incoming! The AU has undergone some huge revamps and there’s a lot to tell! It’s all right here!

Sadly, there’s some bad news.

We’re starting with the bad because it’s some extremely important stuff. But the good news will be right after. Also Kanaya Nitram will be used as an example for stuff because this was drafted by deuce.

Asks!!!!

Your favorite ask blogs can’t survive without asks! We don’t know what kind of content you guys would want if you don’t tell us. Without asks, there’s no content, and no content means no blog! All of our blogs are right here!

Drama.

So. Back in February, we had a fiasco where people were sending lots of Valentine’s Day asks on @ask-cyborg-seamstress and @dualshark , which were…fun in the beginning, but then they got messy. We learned about an ex-matespritship and people started to get aggressive and attack the characters. People began to suggest that Tavros and Kanaya were in an abusive relationship, they began to attack sollux for spilling the beans, and such. We would like to clarify that none of the relationships in this AU are toxic. Serket and Nitram may have had an unhealthy relationship in the canon of homestuck, but our Serket/Nitram relationship is anything but unhealthy. Same goes for any relationship in our AU that correlates to an unhealthy canon relationship.

Drama Part Two.

Just because the canon version of a character is one way, does not mean our version is exactly the same. An example of this would be Kanaya Nitram being Bisexual, or Vriska Megido not being a ghost right off the bat. This is an “Alternate Universe” which means it is not the same as canon.

Character Hate vs. Character Criticism

Telling us that our character is incorrect or just bad in general is completely different than telling us a way of improving our characters.

For example: “Kanaya is a lesbian you idiot” is not something Deuce wants to see. They’d rather see “Hey can we see more content of Kanaya and her female quads?”

Hi, Deuce here. I never realized that I’d have to make this post. Lately, my inbox has been full of nothing but disgusting asks. We can decode three of them!

“are ya legit scared of what he’ll do” = implying that Kanaya is afraid of Tavros. This is insanely incorrect. In all of this drama, I have reiterated many many times that Kanaya is <b>NOT</b> scared <i>OF</i> Tavros. She is scared <i>FOR</i> him.

“it’ll be like the flarp accident” = Tavros will hurt Kanaya. Hey, you said it yourself! Flarp <b>accident</b>! This event was actually more traumatizing to Tavros than Kanaya (still traumatizing). Kanaya and Tavros were already dating at this point and they were still new to each other and they previously had a flarp only relationship. Tavros ended up being too competitive and aggressive and Kanaya ended up off a cliff. Tavros cried for a long time after that, and every time Kanaya goes to Nepeta for tune-ups, Tavros feels extremely guilty. (This is all au canon fact.)

simple answer! Tavros is not scary! He is an actual softie go look at the blog its a really easy way to find that out. @asktavserkthespiderjerk (like he gets all mushy talking about caring for grubs with Kanaya and it’s really sweet)

everything about this ask is awful. Tavros would never do something to hurt Kanaya on purpose. You're implying that Kantav is a highly abusive relationship when in reality, the Tavros mun and I have built these characters around each other. And she should not have stayed with sol. I love sol and his mun very very much, but if these two were dating, they'd be a very bland stereotypical heterosexual relationship and nobody wants that. 

TL;DR

Tavros and Kanaya’s relationship is anything but abusive and I refuse to address any more asks villainizing Tavros. Thank you.
