Ask Phoenix Wright & Miles Edgeworth

Now that this blog has almost reached its final form, I guess I can write a proper introduction!

I love Ace Attorney, some fans know me as Smile Edgeworth and some of them were following my first Ask Blog about Miles, Kay and Gumshoe.

So, what is this new blog about?

These two guys, of course. Why? Well, as a huge fan of both, I was really sad I couldn’t find an active ask blog about them.:( So instead of complaining, I decided to open a new one myself. Good idea? Bad idea? Well, I guess you’ll tell me!

I hope you’ll find this place a little special, at least for a reason: I’ll try to follow canon when I can, and I’ll answer to both platonic and shippy asks. Only the shippy asks will be tagged as Narumitsu/Wrightworth, so you’re be free to decide if you want to read them or not. Many posts about the deep bond Phoenix and Miles share can be considered platonic or romantic, it depends on how you see them! That’s exactly like in the games, right? :D

Hello

I have good news and bad news.

Well, bad news first: you have probably noticed this blog is on hiatus. I’m very sorry for that, unfortunately I haven’t feel inspired enough to keep going lately, and I don’t know if I’ll ever start posting again here. This blog is a hobby to me, so I can’t really force myself to reply when I don’t know what to write. The Investigation Trio will always have a special place in my heart, but I feel there’s nothing more it can say about it for now. I’m sorry! :(

Anyway, there are good news at least. This blog made me realize many things. I’m more experienced now, and I think I know what I want to do for Ace Attorney fandom. There is something I love, and I know many fans love it too. So I’m working on a new ask blog, this time about something part of the fandom probably needs more than this one. Well, at least I know I need it. And I promise I’ll do my best not to let it die.

Kay, have you ever considered trying to input the information or memories of your father into Little Thief and using it to recreate them? If yes, have you thought about doing the same for Miles and his father?

Yeah, I thought about that, but I’ve never tried to recreate my father or Mr. Edgeworth’s with Little Thief. It might be a little cliché, but I think “the past is in the past”. A hologram could never be my father, I want to remember him the way he was.

Haha, you do like Swiss rolls, pal! Me too! But I’m not really into snacks, to be honest… I prefer a good meal like weenies or instant noodles!

Don’t waste your time. Interrogate the suspect and every witness about the murder and their relationship to the victim.

Go to the crime scene again and don’t rest until you’ve inspected every suspicious-looking nook and cranny. Make sure your detective partner and your colleagues do the same.

Find the truth. That’s all I can suggest.

Mythical creature? Like Gourdy and other monsters? I don’t know pal, they don’t look very nice. I guess I’d arrest them if they murdered someone!

Mythical creatures are merely fictional characters, detective. However, some of them are not evil like you might think. During the 24th episode of The Steel Samurai, a Japanese dragon helps the hero to fight the Evil Magistrate. He is indeed the most impressive creature I’ve ever seen in a show.

Oooh, I remember him! Japanese dragons are so cool! What was his name…? Ryu…? Ryuji? Ryuichi? Something like that!

Anyway, I love unicorns and flying horses! They’re so pretty!

Since you are an impulsive man, I’d expect you to tell me about your feelings sooner or later, if you had them. That’s how I know that what you feel for me is merely platonic. On the contrary, I’m a rational man, so I would never tell you anything before using logic to figure out the possible consequences of my actions.

I also think my friendship with you is different from the one with Larry. It’s more important. That’s why… I would never do anything that might ruin it. Some kind of feelings on my part… would be rather damaging.
