I'm still active -
I'm just moving to a new blog. Unfortunately it's still in progress, and because of the unfortunate amount of detail I feel like I need to go into in the character descriptions, probably will remain so for another few days. During that time, I won't be very active at all on here.
The new blog will have the same characters as here, just a new layout, new pages, and a new URL. I had lost my motivation for this one and needed some refreshing. All current in-progress threads on here will not be dropped, only transferred. Give me a few days and I'll soon be able to link you all to the new one and pump out some replies.
Hang in there guys. <3 I'll see you all again soon.

Jenna stared back at him, a hopeful smile slowly spreading across her face as she waited for his response, part of her wondering if it had been a weird thing to say and had killed the mood. His words were met with her relief and delight as she beamed up at him, leaning into his touch before tilting her head back to receive his kiss. She returned it eagerly, her lips moving ardently against his while one of her hands slipped down to gently stroke the now bare part of his chest. “Oh, Mathieu…” she whispered into the kiss, her hand working its way up to his shoulder and just slightly pulling his unbuttoned shirt back. “Think supper can wait?” she asked softly, drawing back just far enough to make eye contact with him, as a playful smirk tugged at her lips.
The mood this evening has shifted considerably, Matthew thought to himself as he felt the light pressure of her fingers on his chest, but that wasn't to say that he minded. On the contrary, he didn't mind at all, and as her other hand drifted upwards to slip his shirt over his shoulder, he actually felt rather pleased with the way things had turned out. He told her so in the form of an eager nod in response to her question, his mouth too preoccupied with being on hers to reply with words, and found his own hands moving up to entangle themselves in her hair as he deepened the kiss, smiling against her lips. The little sound he did make, when he made it, was muffled and quiet. "Mm-hm."

15: Back Kiss
It took him a while to find her, but eventually, he did - she was perched at the base of the old olive tree, presumably seeking refuge from the sun, with a book in her lap and her chin in the palm of her hand. She hadn’t yet noticed him, and he planned to keep it that way.
Deciding that the weather was nice enough and the lawn well kept enough, Matthew removed his shoes and socks, hoped that it would make at least some difference to the amount of noise he made, and crept along the grass to where Jenna was sat. The tree branches provided a much-needed block for the sunlight, which relieved him from having to squint. He was close enough now to see the rise and fall of her shoulders with each breath, and held his own; the last thing he wanted was to alert her of his presence.
Slowly, carefully, he lay down, pressed his stomach to the ground, and crossed his ankles. Placing his hands on her waist, Matthew used his thumbs to hitch up her shirt, just enough to expose the small of her back, and before she could react, he planted a quick kiss on the line of her spine.
"Hey," he said, letting her shirt fall again as he wrapped his arms around her waist and pressed his cheek against her back. "You okay?"
Matthew paused for a moment, lowering his hands, folding them over his abdomen, and squinting against the sunlight. As beautiful as a backdrop to Jenna it made, when she tilted her head like that, it’s intense gaze blotted through his eyesight, and he had to close his eyes again. “Is that the same as a péridot?" he asked. "In the context of it being a gemstone? Because I’m French and sad and I’ve never heard that word before."
Lifting her head back into an upright position when he dropped his hand, Jenna gave another chuckle and moved her hand from his hair to trace along his jawline. “Exactly, actually,” she replied. “It is a gemstone; it’s a very pale green color. That’s what your eyes look like, Matt…peridots.” She smiled and paused for a brief second, just gazing down into his eyes. “…though it sounds a lot better when you say it in French,” she added, the corners of her mouth twitching upward into a grin.
Matthew grinned, raising his hand again only to flap it at her dismissively. "Jenna, please. Everything sounds better when you say it in French. For example, 'qui était si ringard je ne suis même pas sûr de savoir comment réagir,' which roughly translates to, 'You're looking gorgeous, today, Jenna.'" His lips drew up into a slight smile as he spoke, eyes meeting hers against the glare of the sunlight. The feeling of her fingers against his jaw was soothing, almost therapeutic. "See?"

Jenna was in the midst of writing down a list of things she would need to pick up in town later that day when the familiar sound of Ray’s voice broke her concentration.
"Sorry, what was that?" she asked, glancing over her shoulder to look at him properly. It took her a second to notice that the fiction-scribbling Welshman she’d taken up temporary residence with was, for some reason, casually shirtless.
Her expression settled into an incredulous one as she raised an eyebrow at him. “Do I want to know?” she asked, semi-deliberately quoting a song by an artist Ray was fond of before continuing. “Or is this your newest way of flaunting your attractiveness in your spare time?”
"Moment? What moment? I was unaware we were having a moment," Jenna noted, before she rolled her eyes yet again and gave an aggravated huff. "Raymond Dufort, I have never met such a sarcastic pain in the neck as you before in my entire life," she retorted. "You are now deliberately acting like a prat and you know it, and so help me, I will come over there, and then you’ll really be in trouble." She paused and slumped in her chair with an exaggerated pout. "What about me, then? I don’t deserve any love, either?"
"It depends," he said, not looking up from his typing once as he spoke, even though his tone of voice made it clear he was addressing her. He spoke lowly, slyly. "How willing are you to go to the kitchen and bring me that last slice of cake from the fridge? Because if you do, I might consider giving you at least a share of the love. But it's up to you, really." Saying so, Ray shrugged, his body language casual. A few moments later, he continued, this time raising his head; "And I wasn't acting like a prat, Jenna! I am a professional prat. You, of all people, should know the difference between acting as someone and being someone."
-Jenna scoffs, raising an eyebrow-
"Need I remind you that you were the one who came out here and interrupted us? But if we’re not satisfactory company for you, by all means, be on your way.”
-she scratches the sleeping Ollie’s tummy-
"Or I could always take my panda elsewhere."
"Are you kidding? I only came here to chaperone you. If I walked away now, god knows what you two would end up doing. It's for the benefit of the public, really."
Fear can not state how bothered she has become at herself for hidng this from Liam. All these months gone by, all the thoughts ranging on how you tell someone that you’re not even human, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth, especially after realizing, the control you thought you had in telling someone, slips away. Perhaps that was what led her to near him a bit more, her head pressing in to his chest, eyes shutting before nodding almost wildly in response to his question.
“I’m not lying, Liam. What you saw when your uh… girlfriend was here, was me. It’s a part of me that never really goes away, or dies, its a curse that I was born with seven hundred and forty years ago. And if you’re willing to believe me, then that is all I will ever need, promise.”
{ as she presses her head against his chest, liam can't help but think that this woman, this woman he is running his hands through the hair of, holding closer to him like she is his lifeline, and trying to place the heartbeat of, this woman is both his poison and the very air that he breathes. she is a parasite, lodged deep in his heart, and no matter how much logic dictated he should forget about her, he couldn't. he didn't want to. whether she was human or not, liam had fallen in love with her. and he wouldn't have been able to push her away even if he wanted to. }
{ he sighs. } "I'm not gonna ask, Genevieve. I'm not sure I want to know. But... but I believe you. I wouldn't be able to tell myself that you'd lie to me if I wanted to."
Liam has always been one to keep his emotions in check, but this time, he feels glad he is alone, because no-one can see his reaction. He reads through the message, taking in the elegant script so familiar and foreign to him at once, over and over, until he can repeat the words from memory. His heart thumps steadily against his chest.
Open the box before you and understand, that I truly do love you, I am just really bad with words.
Oh, Genevieve, he thinks, expression hard as he presses his lips together and reaches carefully for the box. He lifts it slowly, as if scared that he'll drop it, but he manages to keep his hands steady.
What he finds is a relief. He takes the bracelet into his hands, running his fingers over the weaving and soaking in the detail and marveling at how Genevieve it is. Glancing sideways to make sure that he is still alone, Liam allows his lips to tug into the smallest of smiles, and clips the band onto his wrist.
Thank you, G, he thinks to himself as he slips the box and note into his pocket and turns to leave.
