Mod Pluto’s well-being took a nosedive, longer reasoning is detailed on the Ask The WVBA Discord Server under No Response vent. This blog isn’t dead but I forced a return prematurely.

Disco! What got you into disco anyway?

“I've always been a dancin' man, but that first time I had a routine set to disco music? That night I heard Boogie Wonderland by Earth Wind and Fire for the first time? Man, I tell you what, that was the moment I knew my whole world was gonna be different from that point on. The rhythm entered my veins and it's been flowin' through me ever since, baby!"

There have been some unrealistic feats in the Wii game's cutscenes, such as:

- Punching a bull into the sky

- Outrunning a bullet train

- Great Tiger

- Singlehandedly levelling a building

- etc, I may have missed a few

I would like to ask if feats such as these were real or if they were exaggerations, special effects, or anything like that

It’s best to just accept that a certain degree of cartoon logic is within the realm of possibility! There’s also been a few posts addressing the fact that magic itself exists.

Bear Hugger truly can talk to and understand animals. He has Disney Princess cred!

Great Tiger is the son of the world’s most powerful magician and Tiger himself stands to surpass him one of these days!

Don Flamenco can manifest plants and has a magical green thumb that assists him in both his gardening hobby and his desire for flashy performances!

Heike Kagero’s capabilities are still being explored, but there are other things going on with other characters is the big takeaway. It’s likely to come from the same magical inner source as Great Tiger, and it could be (totally true) that Heike studied under Great Tiger at some point.

Teeth can reattached or even regrow back, the fact that Sandman hasn’t killed anyone itself is a magic trick, as is Joe and Mac in particular even being alive.

So yes, cartoon logic (though that’s not to say real violence doesn’t sometimes occur) and literal magic are real. Then there’s the Hippoan people, of course, an entirely new race of humans developed specifically for this interpretation of Punch Out who themselves have gods and mysticism of their own.

As for leveling a building… Sandman will answer for that eventually too.

Spoiler: that building was a gym and that’s all that will be divulged on that matter!

And oui, the medics are quite familiar with me at this point... there are a number of doctors I see regularly, though the ringside medic has come to my aid during more matches than I can recall.

I am certain at this point that Mademoiselle Shio has repaired more of my teeth than my dentist has."

Vonnie, if you like watching boxing and beat-ups so much, why don't Y̶O̶U̶ ̶J̶U̶S̶T̶ ̶M̶A̶R̶R̶Y̶ ̶I̶T̶ try it out yourself to get that thrill more often?

Vonnie has in fact been practicing! She got herself a very reluctant teacher and has already picked out a name for her inevitable launch into boxing as a career! Now she just needs is a fancy costume that dubiously skirts the apparel guidelines!

She's extremely new to it however. She gets coached on form and such from Little Mac, but she only ever boxes the solid holograms provided by the WVBA's training center. She’s not even defeated Joe’s holo yet! She’s determined though.

She’s got the skills! She’s got the power! You’ll never catch her, she is like—!!! … Big Ben?

No one is quite sure what to think of this new development, however one person can think of a few choice words he'd like to have with a certain impulsive little sister of his! YVONNE—

As an aside, we believe Doc is exaggeratedly sniffling and wiping tears from his eyes that the student has become the teacher, much to a shy Little Mac’s embarrassment.

I actually rushed and did this on the first day of Pride. ^^; I wasn’t sure if it would be alright to post it, so I’m finally using my extra account.

Disco Kid and Heike Kagero dated in Ask-WVBA canon but mutually broke up and stayed friends. c:> They got along great and still care about each other but they just had better platonic chemistry.

But I thought it would be cute to show them having a date at Pride. Heike was excited to do makeup for the occasion.

And apologies for our lack of updates. I, Mod Pluto, needed to focus on school at the time updates first slowed to a halt. Since then both Mod Meep and I have picked up different interests, Encanto and an original story respectively.

Recently I’ve begun to take an interest in Punch Out again, but it’s been gradual. As mentioned in the last, we have a lot of answers already scripted and I just have to draw and color them. I don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up, but it might finally be time to dust off time old replies. If nothing else I might start working in a new buffer for when dry spouts inevitably occur since our interests are so far off from Punch Out currently.

So right now things are up in the air. There is definitely a comeback somewhere on the horizon but what that means right now is anyone’s guess. But think about it this way: some of you are so hopeful that even after years of an absence you write in when it was just Mod Meep. There’s always hope. If worst comes to worse we might start with monthly updates or something to ease back into the flow of things.

In the meanwhile, feel free to ask lower stakes questions that can be answered with small doodles or written replies. I know it’s a pain, but our fellow artists and writers out there know how it is with fixations and motivation not always aligning. Believe me when I say I never stop thinking of this project though.

No promises right now, but don’t lose heart.
