A Story for Victoria is HERE!!!
You can read it on both Ao3 and FF.net (links included)
The land of Fabulacor is divided into four kingdoms: Hearts, Spades, Clubs, and Diamonds. Guided by their goddess, Fortuna, the subjects of these Four Kingdoms live, laugh, and love. However, hiding in the shadows of the past there are truths known only by a select few. Enter young Victoria (Monaco), who loves to hear her Nana’s fantastical stories of a time long gone. Join Victoria and those she loves on a journey to discover the truth behind the greatest tragedies of Fabulacor’s past as well as what it means to sacrifice, to love, to wish, and to hope.
I am so gosh dang excited for this everyone! I have been working on this story for years, and it’s finally close to being done! Because it’s not totally finished, I’m only updating the story every month instead of every week like I had originally wanted, but I couldn’t hold back anymore. (I don’t know how book authors can contain their excitement for their stories without immediately sharing them with everyone!) Also, if I finish the remaining chapters soon enough, I will bump the updates to weekly rather than monthly, which would be good for you guys because there’s a lot of mystery in this story.
As you might expect from me, there’s a big emphasis on Franada/Canfran, but the true protagonist is young Monaco because I’m a masochistic fandom writer who likes to pick the smallest characters and ships to write about. There’s also women loving women, lots of strong family relationships, and genderqueer characters.
The story is a cardverse fic, but (for perhaps the first time ever) the story is NOT Spades- or Hearts-centric. The focus is actually on Diamonds with a secondary focus on Clubs (*dramatic gasp from the audience*). Maybe people only write Spades/Hearts cardverse fics because that’s all the readers want, but that’s not what I want, so I’m hoping there’s a lot of people like me who want a little bit more exploration of cardverse relationships.
Finally, because I’m a history nerd, there’s a lot of historical foundations in how my four kingdoms run. My personal favorite is the melding of the Chinese Civil Service Exam, Britain’s Constitutional Monarchy, and America’s House/Senate into a single political entity in Spades, which I hope someone else out there appreciates when it comes up in the story.
Please give the story a shot. If you like it, give it kudos, leave comments, follow it, share it with others, and all that jazz.
(Before I forget, I will also tag @disney4lifeandforever because they liked the preview I released of this fic a few months back, and I promised I would tag anyone who liked that in the official release post of the fic)
