Easy online way to test, learn and share SQL

Oracle has introduced a very cool online SQL community area where you can enter and run SQL as well as review example SQL statements from Oracle and other community members. It’s like an online version of SQL Developer with your own database to write and execute SQL statements.

It is called Oracle Live SQL and helps provide the Oracle database community with an easy online way to test and share SQL and PL/SQL application development concepts. With Oracle Live SQL you have:

Browser based SQL worksheet access to an Oracle database schema

Ability to save and share SQL script

Schema browser to view and extend database objects

Interactive educational tutorials

Customized data access examples for PL/SQL, Java, PHP, C

Finally, PeopleSoft has delivered a Payment Request feature in FSCM 9.2 Accounts Payable with delivered workflow using AWE. Payment Request is used to enter payment requests for non-PO, miscellaneous and other expenses. Payment Request empowers users to submit their own invoices, which results in alleviating the workload in Payables by limiting it to review, correct, and audit the transactions. This self-service feature enables users to create payment requests outside of the purchasing system and without having to know Payables.

Payment Request is long overdue and should have been delivered 10 years ago. Most organizations create bolt-ons either inside or outside of PeopleSoft for users to request payment for non-PO expenses. Now you can sunset your bolt-on customization and reduce maintenance costs.

PeopleSoft Cumulative Feature Overview

If you’re upgrading your PeopleSoft System, use the PeopleSoft Cumulative Feature Overview tool to help you determine what are the new features added from your current version of PeopleSoft installed to the new version of PeopleSoft you’re upgrading to. See PeopleSoft Apps Strategy.

Use the PeopleSoft Cumulative Feature Overview tool to identify product features available to you when upgrading to a new release.

Select one or more products from the Available Products list and use > button to move it to the Selected Products List. To select all products, just click on >> button. To remove the products from the selected Products List, select the products from Selected Products List and click on < button. Use << button to remove all the products from the selected Products List.

Select your current release (Current) and the release you plan to upgrade to (Target).

Click the Generate Report button.

This will automatically generate a new report.

Oracle Releases PeopleSoft 9.2

Oracle today announced that PeopleSoft Human Capital Management 9.2, PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 and Supply Chain Management 9.2 will be generally available Friday, March 22. PeopleSoft 9.2 leverages important new technology capabilities delivered in PeopleTools 8.53.

A number of customers and partners have already been working with Oracle as early adopters of PeopleSoft 9.2 and have started their implementation and upgrade projects. Some of these customers include: AARP, Caterpillar Inc., Daimler, Franklin Templeton Investments, Washington University in St. Louis, Westfield, and Verizon. Partners working with Oracle include: Accenture LLC, BTR Group, Cardinal Point Solutions, Cognizant, CSC, Deloitte Consulting, Ellire, GreyHeller, Huron Consulting Group, Infosys, KPMG, MIPRO, Newbury Consulting Group, PwC, Regents Consulting LLC, SmartERP Solutions, Succeed Consultancy LLC, Wipro, and Zanett.
