Hi, I'm officially here to introduce myself, I've already sent my accounts and they are sideblogs so I won't be able to follow you back. My name is Mar. English is not my first language and I haven't been in an English rp for many years, so I ask for your patience. If you don't understand something or I have mistakes and you want to correct me, you can tell me with confidence. I have brought three characters.

Aslaug Ulfketildottir FC: Peri Baumeister / Healer. She is the sister of the king of Kattegat, she has escaped because he wants to hand her over to the king of Tamdrup and she does not want to marry him. She is a woman with a big heart, always helps others but always follow her heart, not afraid to speak her mind. She has been living in Hedeby for a year and no one knows who she really is or that she is wanted. @aslaugulfketildottir

Halldóra Grimsdottir (Rune's younger sister) FC: Ruby Hartley / Sailor & Warrior. The younger sister, the spoiled sister and yet with a desire to stand out above all. Thanks to her brothers she has become a great warrior and sailor, she fantasizes about living the greatest adventures her parents lived. She does not like to be overprotected, although being the youngest, that has always been the issue. She is cheerful, funny and very brave. @halldoragrimsdottir

Gyda Heriolfdottir FC: Millie Brady / Warrior former servant. She is the daughter of the late Lord of Mercia, her parents were killed by Vikings in a battle and she was taken with them. At first she served that family as a servant but later became part of it. She has become a great warrior, she is a pagan.... she left her Christian side behind. Her heart is Viking and she has fought hard to earn her place. @gydaheriolfdottir

She watched him drink, she had noticed that he drank a lot more she wasn't there to judge him, she wanted to help him even though she wasn't sure how she could. She watched the bottle fall from his hands but her eyes lifted to him. She didn't know why he had been drinking or if it was the same reason he always did but he seemed to have run out of booze now. She smiled, very weakly when she heard him. "I don't doubt it, fear is scary but it's also part of us" she walked over to him and took his hand simply to show that she was there with him to support him. "You must not hide your fear...nor your pain, you must face it, you must let it out. Don't live on them, use that strength to overcome it. Don't you want to live good times? Tell me about a very happy moment you have" she asked without letting go of his hand.

Aslaug knew it all too well, they thought they had the world at their feet and that women were the ones who should follow them. She had seen it, she had lived it, and yet she was able to make her own decision, even if she had to escape to do so. Her gaze fixed on her and she nodded her head. "They never will and yet without a woman they would have been lost long ago, don't you think?" she asked with a half smile. It was sad to think that they could simply never see a woman beyond, they were always looking for a way for it all to end.

How long had he known her now? Rune often felt that they knew one another longer the twelve months they spent together. Perhaps it was to do with what they had been through together? Or the fact he forgot about his own misery when she was around? He had to remind himself that his heart beat was because his injury and not because of her, a denial he always allowed himself. His heart was still getting over another and he didn’t want to complicate things. His life was already chaotic as it was.

Rune hissed when she guided him into a sitting position on the grass, his leg still oozing red and he having to look anywhere but that. So he looked at Aslaug, his features softening as he mapped out her face, distracting himself from the pain he felt. Rune could have lashed out but he doubted she’d appreciate that. He blinked when she spoke and felt heat sting his cheeks at the jibe. “I can’t possibly fathom where you’d get such ideas from,” he waved off, trying to ignore the warmth of his face. He breathed a sigh of relief when she changed the subject and nodded, “I can try and I think carrying some things about maybe helpful for emergencies.” That being said, he had left his spear where he stabbed himself and his sword was back at his hut, believing that he didn’t need any of it. Besides, Alsaug seemed harmless enough and beautiful in her own way. He hissed in pain when she wrapped the cloth around his wound to stop the bleeding and allowed a weak chuckle to press his lips. “I don’t know my own strength,” he admitted despite himself.

Many times she had felt that the gods had sent Rune into her life to save her, to show her that she could make her own decisions and not be guided or chosen by someone else. She had her own mind, her own way of seeing in a world that would not mean being chosen by her brother. Why would she have to marry someone she did not love? If she ever did marry someone it would be because she chose him, not because she was demanding that it happen. She loved spending time with him, it brought her great joy and every time she saw him she remembered what he had given her, freedom. He could have ratted her out, he could have not helped her, he could have collected the reward but he hadn't and that would always be on her mind.

Aslaug watched his leg and the wound, she had seen him wounded many times and knew for a fact that he would come out of it but she did not deny that he had been able to avoid it. However, he was lucky that she would be there or maybe it was just the gods that guided her to want to collect water. Her gaze turned to him ending with a slight chuckle. "Will you deny that I've healed you a lot more than once?" she asked amused and with a wide grin. "You can spend time with me without being hurt, you know that, don't you?" she finished with a laugh and then turned her attention back to her foot. The truth was that she actually enjoyed his company. "I think I'll make you a kit, I'm beginning to think you really need it" she expressed amused although this time without turning to look at him because she was intent on the wound. "I can see that, how did you do this to yourself?" she asked and carefully left his foot to approach him and give him some directions on how he will get up being extremely careful. "It will be a heavy ride but it will be worth it" he took Rune's arm to place it with his neck and lean all his weight on her to get him up. "Let's go slowly, there's no hurry" she indicated with a smile, trying to encourage him.

Nothing seemed to be alright these days… Maybe it was her cycle coming up. She always felt a little moody when it was close to her monthly bleeding. The woman shrugged, looking around only to end with a shake of her head. “No child passed by me as of late,” Ingrid told the other as she fumbled with the sleeves of her dress. 

“And whatever I am feeling, I am sure it will pass with time. Or a remedy will do just fine. Could be just the air,”

Her gaze glanced sideways looking for the little girl but subsequently let out a sigh, she wondered what had happened to make her decide to leave like that. "I guess she didn't feel so bad or she wouldn't have left" she commented though not entirely convinced with the present. In the end she supposed she would have no choice but to give up and wait for herself to return. "Do you want to go for a walk? You look like you could use it" she smiled slightly. "Maybe I can make you some tea afterwards, just to relax you a bit" she spoke kindly.

Rune should have known when to time things. Hadn’t his parents taught him that much? He had set up accordingly and was looking forward to eating fresh fish. Sure it was a fisherman’s job but he had to do this countless of times before now. So how had he managed to stab himself in the leg with his spear; a spear that had been freshly sharpened? 

Instead of screaming, Rune had grunted in pain as the wetness of his own blood mingled with the river’s. Another grunt pressed through his lips as he pulled the sharpness out of his leg. There was a slight engravement there, one that wasn’t deadly but it would make it difficult to walk for a while. Hadn’t his father said not to fish alone if he had to? Of course there was that stubbornness always outranked that sensibility. When he saw someone nearby, he started - very slowly and clumsily - towards, trying to keep his breathing even. “Somehow,” he uttered, trying to steady himself. He was used to this but it wasn’t normally self-inflicted, it was on the battlefield that he earned his scars.

She had seen worse wounds than the one the sailor was presenting that day, but she knew for a fact that it was going to hurt for several days. Although if she had learned anything in those years is that he got hurt very often... that way she had met him a year ago and it had completely changed her life, she would always be grateful to him for that and for keeping her secret.

She approached him carefully. "Sit down" she indicated, she couldn't strain like that and almost forced him to sit on the grass as she knelt down placing her foot on his legs cleaning the wound to subsequently try to stop the bleeding. "You know, if I didn't know you, Rune. I'd think you hurt yourself on purpose so you'd have an excuse to see me and I'd heal you" she joked to subsequently end up letting out a light chuckle. She watched him out of the corner of her eye with a half smile, she had nothing that could help her. "Do you think you can walk to my house leaning on me, I don't have any weeds here that can heal you" She tore part of her dress to bandage her wound, squeezing it tightly and hoping that that would be enough to stop the bleeding. "I lied to you earlier, yes it is deeper than I thought" she admitted once she had checked.

The events in that life were uncertain, one did not know for sure what the gods had planned for one. And much less her destiny, but if Aslaug was sure of one thing, it was that she would not let herself be manipulated or led by anyone. For the first time in her life she had been free for a year, being herself and unattached. She was happy to help, more so if she could actually do something. She was at the river collecting water when she felt the presence of someone behind her, it was more of a whimper. Her eyes turned around noticing immediately the wound someone had made so she got up to approach. "Let me help you, it doesn't look that bad" observing the freshly made wound.

     “How long have you been standing there?” Ingrid asked, brows arched as she looked up from her hands

She simply walked, the last thing she wanted to do was to interrupt her but since she was the only person there she had no choice but to do so. However, it seemed that he had not noticed her presence until a while later. She took a step forward. "Only very slightly, actually. Are you all right?" she asked fixing her gaze on her and simply checking on her condition. She seemed upset plus she couldn't be sure she would actually come across that way.

"Sorry, it's just that I was looking for a girl. She had a stomach ache but when I was taking out the remedy she has disappeared" she indicated, still searching for her with her gaze.

Freya had spent the afternoon deep within the neighbouring forest.  It was still and it brought such a silence that the crackle of the fire was all that could be heard.  She drifted her hands above it, her fingertips dancing across the flames as she peered into them.  The heat radiated and the smoke billowed upwards to the sky, taking with it any care that she had.  It was a place which meant more to her than home itself - a place in which she could breathe amongst the ancient souls.  With a contented sigh, she eased herself to the ground, intent on drifting to a mead-induced slumber.

Aslaug knew that he was running out of herbs so the only way to get some was to take them directly from the forest so she went to the place. She carried a short sword in one hand and a basket in the other where she placed the plants she was collecting. However, when she was walking through the place she observed smoke. She hesitated whether to approach or not but in the end she did so to observe Freya there. She noticed that she was lying down so she tried to pass by without making noise, the last thing she wanted was to interrupt. "Hi Freya, sorry. I was just coming for some weeds" She approached a bush cutting several branches from it and at the end placing them on the basket.
