my friendship isn’t a one way street. you can’t take and take from me without give me something in return. or you’ll be left sorely disappointed when i stop doing what you expect.
giving myself away too much || laura a. lawson
i have walls built so high they barricade me in so deep, that anyone trying to get past will need to sweat and bleed before i let them through. although, no wants to try. but i don't try either. i keep myself caged within despite the internal yelling and banging of wanting to be free and open.

you are still my muse. i can write about you like it was just yesterday that you had me under you. is this my way of reminding myself that i enjoyed pleasure most when i was with you? or is this my way of reminding myself that i haven't loved another man since you left my life.
maybe that’s why i still smile so big when i talk you to. || laura a. lawson; day 21 of 365 days of poetry
